I watched the Community dungeon and dragons episode. It seemed fun.

It actually wouldn't be TOO hard to set up a Campaign for FE or adapt it for the board. But you'd need a DM who knew what they were doing. | |

I've played a little Mage: The Awakening and I made a DnD character once but our game got cancelled due to some real life shit that came up.

Well you start out by figuring out what race you want to play and then rolling a die for stats. A d20. Then you pick a class. Your characters back story is really all up to you and limited by your own creativity. Then you put a certain amount of points into skills and get a feat or like a special ability and all that. This are all the types of things you can do in game like "Move Silently* or *Disable Trap* or *Sense Motive*.
You also need a DM someone who runs the game. They're basically the story teller and have control over if you live or die. They keep the story moving. Basically everything is done by die roll. Attack? Roll a die. The numbers determine if you hit and how much damage you do. The DM rolls them for monsters too.
There really is very little limit on what you can do. | |

I actually wouldn't mind trying to get a FE DnD group going. I've played DnD for a few years, never DMed, but I know enough about the process that I could theoretically do it if there wasn't anybody more experienced. |
