So based on first impressions the people who actually made me laugh in the Meet 'n Greet were Butch and JFP so if there is cross tribal communication I'm gonna hit them up first and try to make some bonds with people I can gel with but holy cow, having to kiss Sugar's ass looks like its gonna be a nightmare. | | |

I'll do a quick update on my first impressions. I have not talked to Alexis, Dana, Sash, Reynold, or Gervase yet.
Butch and I really hit it off. He's my favorite so far but unfortunately he's on the other tribe. Somehow, on my tribe, I've had the best conversations with Sugar. She's a lot less OTT 1 on 1 and while I do like her, I am well aware that she is probably a great conversationalist with everyone so I'm staying weary. Next would be Sydney. Our convo wasn't anything to write home about but we touched on some game talk and that leads to some instant trust. She told me straight up that I'm her mark for the bounty point thing and not to worry so that makes me feel good about her. She also threw in the blondies sticking together and I told her I could tell she was gonna be my bae. It's nothing solid but the way the minor bits of game stuff came about was fluid and not forced so I think I could definitely work with her. I talked to Chicken and he is really funny. We talked mostly about survivor but I feel like I'm gonna like him. Tom isn't the most exciting person to converse with but I'm trying. I feel he is going to be one of the more active ones so I want our relationship to be good. I haven't really gotten anywhere with Debbie yet. I hope she doesn't just pretend to be real Debbie the entire time..
The jury is still out on who my #1 ride or die is gonna be. I can't play a game without one so I need to find one ASAP. Back to AIM I go! | | |

Why does Woo h8 me!?
Alright so I'll shed a little more light on what I've been up to now that convo's have slowed down. I am really working the flirty little girl thing. I think I've done a good job of letting my faux mannerisms lead the way and my conversations flow from there. I try to use hearts and smileys every chance i get, I throw in some rapid fire messaging as opposed to one long message, and I am just rolling with the "leaving your friends and family behind is hard, college sounds scary" narrative. It's gotten me through quite a few conversations and I think it actually struck gold with Sugar because she is some kind of mentor for first year college students and is really passionate about helping them succeed or something like that, idk, I wasn't paying attention, but I'm gonna milk this til the teat runs dry.
I wish I had more to talk about but I haven't really made any great solid connections yet. Starting to get a little fatigued from all the talking. Now that I have at least touched base with everyone who is around I need to pick a few and start working on quality instead of quantity. I'm a little nervous that I haven't found my #1 yet but I'm gonna keep working on that! | | |

Finally talked to Dana, I like her A LOT. I told her she was my bounty and she told me Tom was hers. So if nobody is lying to me here is what we got:
Sydney < Kat < Dana < Tom
then Alexis and Sugar are the last two in the chain in some permutation.

SORRY!
There's so many moving parts right now so I'm gonna stick with short quick updates until things settle down, then I'll get back to my moderate sized, normally spaced captain's logs.
Sugar and I are clicking so so well. She has this Ublaz-esque charm when it comes to conversations. She knows how to be entertaining and keep things rolling. It sucks to know she probably has this rapport with everyone. Dana already came out the blue to me and said how much she really likes Sugar.
In other news, Alexis showed up, s(he) has two kids, one is 3 years old *gulp* this makes my nephew story this much harder. Btw "Dylan" is the name I landed on for him so I need to keep that documented here.
Everyone on the tribe is active which is great, it gives me confidence for challenges but oh man, this is gonna make tribal council really rough. I can only hope someone comes to me and offers me something because I do not want to be the one who makes the first move on alliances when everyone is so chill and talkative! | | |

Well I found my #1, awkwardly enough he's not on my tribe. Butch is falling hook, line, and sinker for the flirty girl think and its pretty funny. He really really really likes me. Who knew it would be this easy. I'm not just catfishing him, he's really funny and I have held a conversation with him longer than anyone else so far. If we end up on the same tribe together at some point I really want to work with him. It jut feel so solid and real unlike anything I've got so far with my tribe. More to come on this. | | |

Episode 1: I'm A Lying Sack of Shit
Happy Easter, everyone! Here comes my first real confessional, like it or not. So I like to think I am pretty convincing under this alias. There are a few holes here and there though where I made shit up but I really don't know enough to talk about it so when I end up with conversations like this:
Kat: I've only played reddit games before
Sugar: omg Reddit is my lifeee
I'm like ABORT ABORT! I don't know shit about reddit and if she starts asking questions I'm gonna have to describe something I know nothing about! Which I'm not afraid to do and already have but it could end up a little awkward when she realizes i have literally zero idea what I'm talking about.
In other cases I had to cheat a little bit. When my conversations with Alexis weren't really getting anywhere and The Walking Dead came up I said fuck it, Little Kat is gonna be a Walking Dead fan. So she watches every week because her sister loves it and she wants to bond with her sister. I left out the tidbit about the fact that I am a superfan and know literally everything about that entire cannon universe of The Walking Dead and let Alexis tell me shit I already knew.
So aliasing is not without it's challenges but it also has it's perks. It pretty much got me a great ally but an unfortunate happening arose because of it. Now this is the first time this has ever happened to me and I was really hoping I wouldn't have to play with this sort of added layer but here it is. To no real fault of his own, I have figured out Butch's identity with 100% certainty. He just believes me so much and my story includes the fact that I haven't played real games before that I guess he let his guard down and when he started telling me the story of his love life I realized I had heard the same story before. Honestly I should have know earlier simply from his demeanor but i digress. I have never played in a game before knowing someone's identity but I don't see it changing much. We bonded before I knew who he was and I have never played with him before so it doesn't help on a loyalty standpoint. The only thing I am worried about is accidentally calling him by the wrong name because that would really bring the whole curtain down. It is IMPERATIVE that he does not figure out who I am because once I'm not who I said I was the trust is gone and the only thing he really knows about "my playin' days" is that I was generally an untrustworthy snake. So note to hosts: He's not like spewing alias or anything, I just happened to know enough about his IRL that I recognized a story he told but if you're concerned and feel you need to address it with him please be as vague as possible because my game hinges in the balance, I'm not going to let this affect my game and he's not gonna figure me out by my own doing.
On a humorous note, this happened in the blast chat as a joke and I though it was pretty funny that he nearly used the same number of *'s as letters in his name. Oh boyyy
ANYWAY, now that's off my chest, here is whats going on with the challenge. THANK GOD both Coast tribes decided to work together so if we are lucky and the mountain folk are dumb they won't work together and we can send both of them to tribal council. I'm sure they will have the same idea as us though :/ In the event we end up at tribal I'm going to be prettyy nervous. I already took a few baby steps and threw out some lines. I told both Dana and Sugar that I wanted to work with them and they each ecstatically obliged so I hope that is the start of something. I haven't talked to Sydney nearly as much as I thought I would have but I thinkkk it's just because she's not around all that much and I hope thats what it is tbh. I'm her bounty and she's the only one who has come to me and kinda hinted at working with me so I want to make sure I keep her close. Tom is the one i am most worried about. I feel like he is very active and I've only had one convo with him. I don't want anybody throwing my name around so I need to make a resolution to talk to him more. Alexis has really dove into socializing as well so I need to make sure I don't fall behind with her either. At this point in time if you asked me who I would like to vote out I would tell you I have no idea. I guess we will see how everyone performs in challenges but if you put a gun to my head and asked for a boot list it would probably go:
Tom
Alexis
Sydney
Dana
Sugar
but this is very volatile still. It continues to loom over me all the time that my current #1 on this tribe is most likely everyone's #1. I guess I just have to make sure she likes me the best!
I told them all I was at church and at my family's having Easter lunch and an egg hunt for all the kids but really I was at work, I couldn't make it home for Easter. I'm free the rest of the night though and I will likely spend it socializing leading up to the challenge. Hopefully I can finally make myself feel comfortable with a few relationships. Thats really all I got right now, The IM's are starting to pour in so here I go!

update: I was talking to Butch and he asked if I am in good standing in my tribe. I mentioned that nobody had talked game with me yet and he started making me feel paranoid about it and told me he had an alliance locked up a long time ago.
So I go to Sugar bring up that I am a little worried that I don't know where I stand and she told me she feels the same way and that nobody is talking game with her either. I want to believe her and the more I think about it the more I don't see any reason for her to leave me out of anything, I have been very good in conversations with her, but I just can't help but worry about that possibility that Sugar/Tom/and Sydney have a thing going on simply because they were here when things started and I wasn't. Alexis has really hit the ground running too since her late arrival so I need to do my best to keep up with all this craziness. Hopefully if I stay subtle enough I get put something together or be pulled into something as it forms but If they already have a majority in this tribe I am not a part of it.

seems to be the order of the bountys obv with Alexis' being Sugar
If nobody is lying to me I'm kinda glad to have figured this out, for what its worth anyway!
Sugar trusted me enough to tell me Sydney was her target and told me she told Sydney too. Only thing I'm worried about is that those two were online right form the start so hopefully they didnt pull a fast one and switch for whatever reason to fool people. I'm obvs just being paranoid though.
Sugar seems to be a very very experienced player and she's not going to get caught up in verbal alliances, she's going to care about who helps the tribe in challenges and who she connects with so I feel like this challenge is a little examination to Sugar to see who is worth keeping around on such an active tribe. I MUST prove my worth! Sugar is the keystone to everything in this tribe. THAT BEING SAID, I think it will be important that our tribe doesn't outshine Aso in this challenge or we are gonna get targeted over them. It is a smart play for us to sit back and let Aso do the dirty work or we will likely end up at tribal. Kind of a tough situation but Sugar totally gets this concept and we are discussing it 1 on 1 now! | | |

well the game talk just hit me like a brick wall!
First Sugar and I make an agreement to watch each others backs and she says she'll include me in anything
Then Alexis comes to me and wants a duo then states that Sugar and Sydney are ones she might want to bring in later.
BUT NOW SYDNEYYY comes to me is blatantly like "so if we lose its safe to say Alexis is on the bottom right?"
And i'm like... shit
For now I'm gonna agree with everything anyone says and accept every offer I get and not spread shit around... AT ALL. I'm just gonna observe and figure out where the numbers are. I really don't want Alexis to go first if we lose, I'd much rather Tom leave but I feel I can still be close to Tom, I just need to put the work in. I don't plan on pushing to hard, I'll let the others do that, and it looks like Sydney is gonna be that person. WORKS FOR ME! | | |
