I am really bad at doing comprehensive long think pieces, so I think I'm going to do one post a week and sprinkle some Monciathoughts in them every now and then.

I just want to say hello to all my gushing fans. You're all beautiful creatures of God and I enjoy your everlasting denotation to the Altar of Monica.

Speaking of religion and spiritually ... I feel very #BLESSED with how my tribe worked out. I had not been too social on AIM because it felt kind of risky to me. Talking to people that might not end up being on my tribe seemed stupid! I am someone that is quick to make promises and connections with people. I did not want to be caught up like that or have been trade notes. So I was lille, "Whomever approaches me, I will talk to."

Garret approached me with a "hey hot slut" which I thought was gross. And then Austin approached me and was very cheery and fun. I just messaged people that Austin suggested: Erik, Sue, and Sierra. Erik was definitely the nicest of them all. I decided to message Katie and Taj because I just love both of those characters. Taj was weird but Katie was super nice and impressionable.

So the people I talked to the most: Austin & Katie. And duh of course I made a "We should work together!" promise with both of them because I am desperate for validation and friends. So then when it turned out that it might actually be a possibility to have both on my team ... I jumped at it! I messaged Yve and was like "I do not want to be on Garret's team, he called me a hot slut" -- and apparently he did a similar thing to Yve! And we were both like, "ew gross." I'm so glad STANDING UP AGAINST SEXISM, PATRIARCHY, and HARASSMENT brought us close together and got me on the tribe!

I'm so glad I'm not in that returnee tribe -- that seems like a mess. And the other tribe seems full of douchey characters and people! So, in conclusion, I am #BLESSED to be a Culpepper and on Marehemu tribe.

I love looking back on first impressions and seeing how they change. So here are my snap judgment RANKING OF MY FAVS IN THE TRIBE:


1. - She just seems more snarky and fun than #2 & 3. Which I appreciate. I need someone with a sharp edge and who enjoys gossip. But even with her sharpness, she does seem very genuinely sweet and nice. Which I also appreciate! We're fantasizing about us drinking wine and talking shit together. <3. The whining wino's!

2. -- I like his vibe, his enthusiasm and posi spirit <3 He just seems a bit too stodgy and conservative for me, a bit.

3. - I enjoyed talking to her! Just need to get to know her better. <3

4. - not really digging his vibe. Don't talk to me about video games as a first convo topic! <3

5. - He is deff trying too hard in our tribe chat. chill out, dude! <3

I'm adding <3's so I seem like I am making constructive criticism instead of bitchy comments. Also hi talk to me! I love my fans. I fucking love this 'like' feature for posts. I got 14 for that gif in the Captain post! It's like Instagram -- I might get obsessed.

I love my fans! This means a lot as someone who has been in the background for 40 years of her life.

Snap (snap!) Judgments of Everyone Else that I can look back on when I'm in the Final Tribal Council, awaiting my winning votes, and feel nostalgic. Also my new job (!!!) does not start until next week so apologies for over posting (or maybe i'm posting just the right amount? Lol newbies!!!).

TRIBE A:
-- I am not really into his 'character'. I feel like the most fun drunks are the ones that do not talk about it all the time. (like me!)
-- omg he is so sweet! He is a first time player too and he is an 18 year old in high school! How precious and kind of creepy. I think we got a long well and I think he seems someone easy to utilize if we ever cross paths again.
-- I am a bit spooked out by her. From the lurking I did on past Sausage Islands, it seems like she is one player to ~*~watch out for~*~. Yve or Austin casually mentioned talking to her post-tribe pickings, so that is *interesting*.
-- Have not spoken to either. I dislike Kelley on Survivor so I am judging her for the time being! Sorry oops!
-- His character is a lot to handle -- I can't imagine us interacting. omg I am totally being one of those contestants that instantly hate returning players. THEY HAD THEIR TIME!!! THIS IS MONICA'S TIME
-- Okay I love anyone that wants to embody Caryn, the righteous goddess of Palau. Maybe I should just reach out to her for that reason. Nah that might be stupid. But I look favorably on her for that sole reason. See this will be fun if we end up becoming arch rivals down the road.

TRIBE B:
-- I have spoken about it previously but I am not a fan of him saying, "Hey hot slut", as a greeting. As the first person to reach out to me in this game, that startled me and made me upset. And with Yve telling me he did similar things to the other female contestants -- ew! I am going to be a total Monica about this and be super self-righteous and hold a grudge for eternity. Am I being too moral about this? I just think it says something about the person behind the character that he thinks it'll be funny to play as that 'character'. I'M SORRY Y'ALL -- I was a Gender Studies minor at my liberal arts college. So oops on him! I ain't having it. What was he expecting? Me to giggle and be like, "That is so outrageous! So funny! So chic! I want to work with you." Not today.
-- Did not enjoy talking to her on AIM. She seemed kind of icy.
-- Have not spoken to him but I instantly and incredulously judge someone that wants to embody Vytas, roleplaying or not. Just having him be a part of your virtual identity seems revolting to me. Vytas is one of the douchiest contestants Survivor I have ever had the misfortune to experience. lmao I am not even roleplaying as Monica, I just hated him so much. But if I am roleplaying as Monica let me just say:
-- Eh.
-- Was really weird to talk to on AIM. I reached out to her because I fucking love Taj, but convo was stilted.
-- Ditto with Taj! Hopefully I'll talk more with both of them but we.shall.see.

Yve is totally not being as bitchy as I want but I think I can get it out of her. I think we're totes locked in as an alliance. We want to solidify Austin/Katie as a majority of the tribe but not jump the gun too early and scare them away. We both are bad at being too aggressive game-wise. Austin was all, "I don't want to declare anything yet." But aggressiveness will be something I need to watch out for. I'm just so excited that it's finally MONICA's time, ja feel?

Speaking of, my dear ally Yve, has 190 posts already apparently! More than one of our hosts, Brett! omg what is she up to.

ugh check out my icebreaker game in our tribe forum being super popular. I will now be seen as someone who brought us all together. #killinit IT'S ALL STRATEGY. everyone posted in it! they will look favorable on me.

Will I be the leader of this tribe? ONLY TIME SHALL TELL. I don't really want to be but I am addicted to power.

Oooh, I just wanna gloat that I was the best performance in the group of 1 !!! It pays to recount and confirm things so I don't get penalties <3.

Also it seems like Katie/Austin/Yve all really love me and all have approached me about working with them. Austin & Yve have had identical private convo's with me regarding making us four an alliance, but not making anything permanent until we have to. Austin seems a little more eager as a player (he wants to make our duo real secret and make Yve or Katie the figurehead leader so that they get the most target) ... which kind of makes me on watch. He's all, "So glad we been together since DAY ONE", which is a lil' too much. Everyone is a lil' too kumbaya about everything but I have been playing along <3

Yve is much more nervous of a player, constantly seeking validation and apologizing for things that do not need to be apologized for (like not volunteering to be the group of 1 player). I think that makes Yve more favorable to me, as someone I can dictate/control. Austin seems a lil' more mastermind-y. I need someone more chill. So my power ranking from the beginning of this post still stands. Except I think I'd switch Stephen with Johnny by virtue of talking to him more and him being more pleasant.

I feel very confident about everything. So consider this the typical 'someone is being cocky ... and will look foolish when it all backfires' confessional.
