Episode 5x01: "#RideTilIDie"

Sausage Island 5: Lex vs. Brett saw twenty new players enter the game. Before the game began, Lex and Brett had casted separately and chosen ten players for their own personal tribes. Tribe Lex and Tribe Brett were born. The tribes were:

In the Captain's Challenge, players had to throw coconuts at either members of the opposite tribe or their own. The last player standing from either tribe would become that tribe's captain. While Tribe Brett opted to attack Tribe Lex, Lex's tribe instead chose to focus solely on attacking its own members. Rob C was the first person eliminated from the challenge, while Tyrone, an outsider who rubbed his tribe the wrong way, dominated the challenge and couldn't be taken down.

Eventually, Pete won for Tribe Lex, and Rafe was selected to win for Tribe Brett. Pete named the tribe Chikara, while Rafe named his tribe Rafiki.

The Captains were then forced to send two members of their own tribe to the other tribe. Despite making an alliance for Rob C just moments earlier, Pete was pressured by his alliance to send him over. He chose Rob C and Carter, while Rafe sent over Fabio and Erik. On top of that, the Captains were each given a Mutiny card, which allowed them to switch to the opposite tribe at any time.

In a tense first Immunity Challenge, the tribes had to compete in an obstacle course one at a time. While Rob C slowed it down for Rafiki, Tyrone, Jonas, and Cao Boi held it up for Chikara. One by one, Tyrone, Cao Boi, and Jonas showed up and pushed Chikara closer to the finish, while Rafiki's fate rested on Rob C's shoulders. In the end, Rob C pulled it out for his new tribe, sending Chikara to Tribal Council.

While Tyson wanted to save Tyrone for his strong challenge performances, and Pete and Monica contemplated voting out new comer Fabio, the tribe ultimately came together and voted out Tyrone, who they found offensive and anti-social. Tyrone voted for Fabio, resulting in a 9-1 vote.

Episode 5x02: "Shit's Hit The Fan"

At the start of the next round, another twist came into play. A closed chest was placed at the top of the board, with 10 locks. 10 keys would be hidden across the board over the next several days. The first survivor to uncover the 10 keys first would receive the hidden immunity idol. The hunt for the keys began as players traded information with each other about their locations.

On Rafiki, Carter, feeling like he was on the outs of his new tribe, formed an alliance between himself, Matthew, Julie, Sean, and Rob C. Matthew invited Rafe to join, causing a paranoid Rafe to believe he was destined for sixth. Rafe decided to get together with Erinn and Vee to form a counter alliance.

On Chikara, tensions flared up as Jonas, Jaime, and Monica spent a night talking to one another. Jonas grew increasingly paranoid that Jaime and Monica were secretly aligned and were turning him on his Captain and ally, Pete. Jonas began to consider kicking Jaime out of his alliance of five, and bringing in the outcast Cao Boi instead. Meanwhile, Fabio spilled to Monica that there was a majority alliance of five within the tribe. Monica approached Jonas, telling him that she knew about the alliance of five, causing Jonas to believe that Jaime had squealed.

Alliances, and deals on the tribe changed rapidly as nearly every member of the tribe became considered a potential target. Jonas attempted to create a new alliance consisting of himself, Monica, Cao Boi, Erik, and Fabio to counter his old alliance. Paranoia increased and word got out, resulting in Pete considering using his Abandon Ship card. He ultimately decided against it.

At the immunity challenge, the tribes split into three groups. Some members worked on puzzles, others on endurance, while Rafe and Pete, the tribe captains, were chosen to compete in a word search for the better time. Chikara failed minutes into the challenge when Tyson failed to post. Eventually, Rafiki won immunity, winning out in all three categories.

During Chikara's tribal council, things continued to be heated as the targets began to focus on Jonas and Monica, and the key hunt continued. On Rafiki, Julie discovered all 10 keys and received the idol, planting a fake in its place, which was soon discovered by Monica.

Monica, believing she was safe due to her "idol", began to ease up. Tyson attempted to get his alliance of five back on track by patching things up between Jonas and Jaime. In the end, it came down to Jaime's choice between either Jonas or Monica. Monica played her Hidden Immunity Idol at Tribal Council, discovering that it was indeed a fake. Monica and the outsiders voted for Jonas, while Pete's alliance of five pulled together and ousted Monica in a 5-4 vote.

Episode 5x03: "We Live, We Die"

After Monica's elimination, Cao Boi, Fabio, and Erik were feeling on the outs. On Rafiki, the tribe was split down the middle. Julie, Matthew, Sean, Carter, and Rob C were on one side, with Rafe, Jerri, Erinn, Vee, and Silas on the other, due to Matthew spilling to Rafe about his alliance of five.

At the Immunity Challenge, the two tribes were tasked with creating an S.O.S. signal. Despite their rough start, Chikara managed to work together well and won their first Immunity Challenge of the season, sending Rafiki to their first Tribal Council.

At Rafiki, Julie's alliance of five decided to vote for Vee, and assumed that the entire tribe was on board. Inner turmoil began to tear them apart, as Sean and Julie began contemplating voting out Carter sooner rather than later. Furthermore, Sean told Matthew he wanted Julie gone soon, and Sean told Julie that he wanted Matthew gone soon.

Meanwhile, Rob C was pressured by Jerri and Rafe to join their side. Feeling on the bottom after a conversation with Matthew, Rob told Rafe and Jerri that he wouldn't mind voting Matthew out. The two told Rob that they would vote Matthew out if he would flip over to them.

Unaware that a counter-alliance had formed, Julie held onto her Hidden Immunity Idol. Rob C struggled in his decision to flip or not, but ultimately ended up joining Jerri, Rafe, Erinn, Vee, and Silas. Matthew was blindsided in a 6-4 vote, shocking Carter, Julie, and Sean and leaving them in the minority.

Episode 5x04 - "Tu Fui, Ego Eris"

Reeling from the shock of the previous night's Tribal Council, Julie became irritated with Rafe for not keeping his word. Julie told Sean that she had the Hidden Immunity Idol, while Sean considered abandoning Julie and Carter for the majority alliance. Later, Rafe pressured Julie about Idol questions, and she admitted to him that she had it.

At the challenge, a double Tribal Council was revealed, meaning both tribes would attend Tribal Council that night. The challenge was Rat Race, a Sausage classic. The remaining seventeen contestants were placed in an arena and forced to scramble around to avoid being trapped in. The new majority alliance on Rafiki targeted Julie, and once Julie was eliminated, Silas and Jerri threw the challenge and Immunity to Vee. On Chikara, the tribe attempted to make sure Cao Boi wouldn't win, as Tyson wanted him gone next. Cao Boi survived until the final three, but was ganged up on by Jonas and Erik. After an impressive performance by the two of them, Jonas outlasted Erik and secured Immunity.

In a twist, it was revealed that a tribe swap would occur immediately, and that the two winners, Jonas and Vee, would remain on their tribes and began to pick new ones.

Word quickly spread on who was on the outs on the two old tribes, and Rafiki's attacks in the challenge all but proved it. A cross-tribal outsiders alliance began to form between Sean, Julie, Erik, Cao Boi, and Jonas. Cao began to plan his revenge against Tyson, Jaime, and Alexis for leaving him on the outs. Meanwhile, Jerri began ignoring the advice of her original alliance in order to better herself on her new tribe.

After the picks, the new tribes were as followed:

Spoiler+

Everyone on each new tribe struggled to gain power and numbers. On Chikara, Rafe and Silas found themselves in the minority, despite tension building between Jonas and Tyson, and paranoia about Julie's Hidden Immunity Idol. Tyson led the vote and tried to convince his tribe to take out Silas instead of Rafe, due to a new friendship with Rafe. With his Mutiny card in his pocket, Rafe knew he had to survive the upcoming Tribal Council before he could flee, and would make his decision based on who left on Rafiki.

Julie contemplated playing her Hidden Immunity Idol and voting out Tyson, while Carter considered betraying Julie in order to flush her Idol and told his close ally Tyson about it. In the end, despite mounting paranoia, the tribe came together and unanimously voted out Silas, who had been slightly MIA for the week. Silas voted for Julie.

On Rafiki, an all male alliance formed between Sean, Cao Boi, Fabio, Erik, and Rob C, leaving Jaime on the outside for her flip during the Monica vote. Jerri grew frustrated with Sean when Sean spilled to the tribe what Jerri had been apart of on old Rafiki. Rob C, who was swayed previously by his close friend Jerri, contemplated sticking with the guys and betraying Jerri at the upcoming vote. In the end, Jerri's two previous allies, Rob C and Erinn, betrayed her and helped vote her out in a 7-2 vote, leaving Vee in the minority after having voted for Sean out of spite.

Episode 5x05 - "Pulling The Shoot"

With the Immunity Challenge rapidly approaching, Rafe had to contemplate whether or not he would use his Mutiny card to jump ship. After seeing that his ally Jerri was voted out of Rafiki, Rafe felt as if he would be in more danger on the other tribe and opted to stay.

At the Immunity Challenge, players were tasked with multiple challenges and placed bets on how quickly they could accomplish them. Tyson and Carter both had issues in the challenge and ended up costing Chikara the win, sending them to Tribal Council.

At the same time, an Extra Helping reward challenge came into play, which saw the remaining fifteen competing to win the game's second Hidden Immunity Idol. Vee beat out Jaime and received the Idol.

On Chikara, the vote was all over the place. Tyson created a plan to convince Jonas to vote out Rafe. Tyson lied to his close ally Carter and told him that he was the one going home, causing Carter to go to Rafe and attempt to push the vote onto Jonas. Rafe then approached Tyson about blindsiding Jonas, which Tyson told Jonas in order to turn Jonas further against Rafe.

After built up tension for weeks, and some convincing by Rafe, Jonas and Julie decided to vote for Tyson. Jonas approached Carter about abandoning the Rafe vote and voting for Tyson instead. Carter found himself between two sides, Tyson, Pete, Alexis, and Rafe, Jonas, Julie. Carter contemplated telling Tyson about Jonas' betrayal and flipping it onto Rafe, Jonas, and Julie.

In the end, Tyson's plan to use Carter backfired when Carter sided with Rafe, Jonas, and Julie to blindside power player Tyson in a 4-3 vote.

Episode 5x06 - "Blondeside"

For the first time, Pete and Alexis found themselves in the minority in Chikara. This fueled Alexis and forced Pete to contemplate using his Mutiny card to switch tribes, which he ultimately decided against.

At the Immunity Challenge, the two tribes squared off in a game of capture the flag. Thanks to Julie, Alexis, and Rafe's hours of preparation, and Rafiki's lack of organization, Chikara won Immunity.

At Rafiki, the vote was up in the air. As Jaime attempted to blindside someone from the ragtag men's alliance, Sean considered rejoining Vee and the rest of former Rafiki in the vote, while Cao tried to plan a 4-2-2 split vote against Erinn. Cao Boi and Erik believed they would vote for Erinn alongside Sean and Rob C, while Fabio and Jaime believed it would be Vee leaving.

At Tribal Council, Sean and Rob C regrouped with former Rafiki and pulled off a massive blindside against Jaime, sending her home 4-2-2 and leaving the entire tribe fractured.

Episode 5x07 - "Abandon Ship!"

After Jaime's blindside, Fabio had an outburst at Tribal Council, calling out Erinn and Vee and accusing Vee of hiding an Idol.

Feeling less and less secure about his position on Chikara, Rafe finally opted to use his Mutiny card to switch over to Rafiki. This forced Rafiki to vote to send a member over to Chikara. Sean planned to betray Erinn and throw her to the wolves, but in the end Erik was banished and sent to Chikara, much to his displeasure. Erinn and Vee weren't happy to see former ally Rafe rejoin them, and lied to him about the existence of Vee's Hidden Immunity Idol.

The Immunity challenge found the remaining players completing in various puzzles. In the end, Rafiki won out and sent Chikara to Tribal Council.

Rumors of Alexis secretly being aligned to Vee, Erinn, and Rafe began to surface, and they were true. As everyone looked ahead to the merge, Jonas calculated that Alexis would be the swing vote in a merge situation, and contemplated voting out wildcard Carter instead of wildcard Alexis.

Erik and Carter both felt in danger of the vote and discussed it with one another. Erik spilled to Carter that Jonas was planning on booting him, causing Carter to confront Jonas about it in hopes that Jonas would no longer trust Erik.

In the end, the tribe opted to keep the merge swing vote in Alexis, and voted out Carter 5-1, with Erik receiving a vote from Carter.

Episode 5x08 - "First Step To The Gallows"

The final twelve were surprised to learn that two new tribes would be created, and the tribes would shuffle once again. Based on a previous vote in camp, Jonas and Rafe were selected to choose the new tribes. Fabio broke the poll's tie vote and gave the vote to Rafe over Cao Boi, much to Cao's displeasure.

Jonas chose Erinn in an attempt to take her away from Rafe. Rafe chose his next highest ally, Vecepia. Jonas picked Pete, and Rafe picked Alexis. At that point, in another twist, the tribe selections stopped. The two current tribes of three were joined together to form a single tribe of six, while the six who weren't chosen were placed together on their own tribe.

Spoiler+

Jonas's tribe named themselves Dourado, while Cao Boi's named themselves Profugos.

Jonas and Pete found themselves surrounded by their enemies on Dourado, and were unaware of how close Alexis was with the rest of them. Pete once again considered using his Mutiny card, but chose not to because of his trust in Alexis.

At the Immunity Challenge, the two new tribes competed in the Sausage Mixer, which involved attempting to make pairs of matching items by taking them from other players. Dourado won Immunity, sparing Alexis from having to show her hand at a potential Tribal Council. During the challenge, Jonas bonded with his opposition, Erinn, Rafe, and Vee, blissfully unaware that Rafe was attempting to throw the challenge to eliminate him.

At Profugos, the vote was immediately between either Rob C or Fabio, who many on the tribe knew were aligned to the opposite tribe. Profugos weighed the pros and cons between booting either Rob C or Fabio just before a merge, and worried about Vee possibly passing one of them her Idol.

Fabio fought hard to turn the vote onto Rob C, and after Julie and Rob C got into an argument, she considered flipping to eliminate him. In the end, Julie, Cao Boi, Sean, and Erik decided to split the vote 2-2 against Rob and Fabio.

Strangely, instead of voting for one another, Rob C voted for Julie and Fabio voted for Sean. If either had voted for the other, the vote would not have tied and the other would have been eliminated.

During the re-vote, Rob C lied to the tribe by telling them he had bootlisted Julie by accident, further alienating him. It wasn't enough however, and Fabio was sent packing in the re-vote.

Episode 5x09 - "I'mNotSupposedToTellYouButImDrunk"

With eleven castaways remaining, the two tribes merged into one. Heading into the merge, Alexis' position in the game was highlighted as an important one, as she was stuck in the middle between two feuding sides. Jonas grew increasingly distrusting of Alexis, and was sure that she would flip to Rafe, Erinn, and Vee very soon.

At the Immunity Challenge, the final eleven had to endure by holding onto a rope tied to a barrel of water for as long as they could, with the top two winning. Julie secured the first spot, and Erik outlasted Sean by just ten minutes after both had lasted for over ten hours.

Later, Jonas got drunk and spoke to him about multiple end game deals, some including Pete, and others including Cao. Sean was turned off by Jonas' idea for multiple, conflicting deals, and told Cao Boi about it. Sean began to want Jonas out instead of the opposing three, Rafe, Erinn, and Vee. Furthermore, Jonas' drunken confessional to Sean began to cause a rift between Cao Boi and Erik after Sean had told Erik about Jonas' final deal with Cao Boi.

While Erik and Cao attempted to patch things up, Jonas told Rob C that the vote was for Rafe instead of for Erinn, since he didn't trust him.

Sean became further sketched out and began to spill his alliances plan to vote for Erinn to the opposite side, an Sean contemplated joining Rafe, Erinn, Alexis, and Vee to vote out Jonas. Sean voted for Jonas at one point, later changed to Erinn, and changed back to Jonas minutes later.

The vote came down to Alexis and Rob C's decision. In the end, Rob C was persuaded to join Sean to flip yet again, and Alexis finally chose a side and voted out former ally Jonas. Jonas left in a shocking 6-5 vote and became the first member of the Jury.

Episode 5x10 - "Let The Operation Begin (Please!)"

As everyone scrambled to pick up the pieces from Jonas' blindside, Sean and Rob C attempted to do damage control with their former allies. To add some paranoia to Rafe's alliance, Sean told Rafe that Vee, Erinn, and Alexis were conspiring against him, which was true. Rafe stated that if he found out Vee was hiding the Hidden Immunity Idol, he would turn on her.

In the classic Puppet Masters challenge, Erik continued his public rivalry with Erinn, Vee, and Rafe. Alexis went on to win Immunity, revealing her excellent spot in the game.

Heading into Tribal Council, the remaining players scrambled to stay alive. One side wanted to vote for Julie, who had an Idol, and the other wanted to vote for Vee, who had the second Idol. Sean and Rob C were planted firmly in the middle.

In an intense Tribal Council, Vee played her Idol, but Julie did not. Sean rejoined his old alliance and voted for Vee, but all five votes for Vee were cancelled. Rob C placed his vote on Rafe alone.

Rafe, Erinn, Vee, and Alexis split their votes 2-2 against Julie and Cao Boi, who were running their alliance. Because Vee played her Idol and Julie did not, the vote would go to a re-vote between allies Julie and Cao Boi. Unable to campaign against her close ally, and frustrated with the results, Julie instead opted to lay down her torch. She took her Hidden Immunity Idol out with her, and became the second member of the Jury.

Episode 5x11 - "The Fight Against Cancer"

After the previous Tribal Council, Sean was now dead set against Rafe, Vee, Alexis, and Erinn, and tried to sway Rob to rejoin him against them. Rob was angry at Cao Boi for telling him to vote for Rafe the previous round, leaving Rob sat directly in the middle.

The Sausage Auction came next. Pete bought his way into an Immunity win, Sean earned an advantage at the final eight, and Rob and Erik received a key and a chest with an Immunity Necklace inside. Rafe won a consultant from a past player, and was visited that day by Sausage Island I winner Rory, who he despised.

As Erik continued to lash out against Erinn, who he called a 'cancer', Erinn became fed up and persuaded her side to vote for Erik that night. The two sides of four vied for Rob C's vote, which would determine the outcome of Tribal Council. Erik used their auction prize as a bargaining chip and gave Rob the key to open the chest, allowing him to keep its contents.

Erik's plan worked, and Rob C rejoined his old allies and voted out Rafe 5-4, leaving the remnants of Rafe's alliance in danger.

Episode 5x12 - "Storms We Cannot Weather"

After Rafe's blindside, Vee, Erinn, and Alexis found themselves firmly in the minority. Cao Boi continued to set himself up by creating a few conflicting final three deals with Pete, Erik, Sean, and Rob C.

Sean's auction prize came into play at the Immunity Challenge when he was given the ability to choose pairs to compete together in the challenge, with the winning pair both earning Immunity. Sean paired himself with Cao, Rob with Vee, Pete with Erinn, and Erik with Alexis. At the challenge, the final eight also discovered that two players would be leaving at the upcoming Tribal Council. Sean's choices paid off when he and Cao Boi won Immunity.

Sean grew increasingly paranoid that his allies would attempt to blindside him at the upcoming double Tribal Council. Alexis accused Erik of throwing the challenge to make sure she lost, which he responded to by cursing her out. Before Tribal Council, Rob decided to use the Immunity necklace given to him by Erik in the previous round.

With only Pete, Erik, Erinn, Alexis, and Vee vulnerable, the girls were forced to vote for Pete and Erik, while the guy debated on which two of the three to eliminate. Erinn pitched her case to Sean and Rob, ending with Sean promising that they'll make a move together at the final six. Alexis grew frustrated that she may leave over Erinn, and attempted to throw Erinn and Vee under the bus. Vee, meanwhile, tried to make a final three deal with Pete and Cao Boi.

In the end, the guys came together and decided to keep Erinn. Sixteen votes were cast, resulting in Vee and Alexis' elimination by a 5-5-3-3 vote

Episode 5x13 - "I Wanna See Blood"

Erinn became the last woman standing from her alliance of four, her only advantage left being a challenge advantage. A glimmer of hope appeared for Erinn when Rob and Sean began fighting for unknown reasons. Erinn attempted to convince Sean to make his move against Cao Boi, using Rob to do it.

At the Majority Rules challenge, Erik prevailed and won his second Individual Immunity Challenge of the season, leaving his enemy Erinn vulnerable.

Erik considered sparing Erinn and eliminating either Sean or Rob instead. Sean had previously promised Erinn that they would make a move together, but when Cao approached Sean, he convinced him to vote out Erinn. After getting word of Sean's betrayal, an angry Erinn cast her vote for Sean. The other five voted for Erinn, and she became the sixth member of the Jury.

Episode 5x14 - "The Goodfellas"

The alliance of five men, deemed "The Goodfellas" was all that remained. The five had been working together for most of the game, but were now forced to turn on one another. With many conflicting final two and three deals within the group, this would prove to be quite difficult.

The final five competed in a Sausage class, The Battle for Sausage Island. With each one hoping someone else wouldn't win Immunity, their moves in the challenge reflected that. Rob C was the first eliminated, followed by Pete. Sean went out next, and Cao made a poor strategic choice and was swiftly eliminated. Erik won his second straight Individual Immunity Challenge.

With Erik safe, and the vote in shambles, everyone worked hard to secure their safety and set themselves up for the finals. Cao pushed Pete to vote out Rob, despite the three having made a final three alliance earlier in the game. Pete wished to stick with Rob and Cao's original deal to vote out Sean, while Sean and Erik wanted to oust Rob, leaving Cao in the center of a conflict.

As the confusion continued, Sean changed his vote from Rob to his close ally Cao Boi in a shocker. After discovering that Cao was attempting to vote him out. Rob C followed suit and voted for Cao Boi.

In the end, Cao Boi's multiple finals deals and deal breaking caught up to him. Pete, Sean, and Rob C all voted against him, with Cao Boi and Erik voting for Rob in a 3-2 vote.

Episode 5x15 - "Sweard On His Granny"

With only four left, Erik was suddenly on the outside. He was angry at Sean for breaking his promise in the previous round, and knew he needed to secure an Immunity win to keep him safe. Rob felt increasingly paranoid and upset at the hate directed at him from the Jury, and once again felt he had no shot to win.

At the Immunity Challenge, the final four raced to four different puzzle stations to solve them the fastest. Sean edged out Pete and won his second Individual Immunity Challenge, leaving Erik in danger.

Sean and Pete wanted Erik gone due to his endurance prowess, but the power was in Rob's hand. He wavered between forcing the tie for Pete alongside Erik, or voting out Erik.

In the end, Rob joined with Sean and Pete to eliminate Erik, sending him to the Jury 3-1. Erik insulted Sean on his way out, and promised Pete or Rob his jury vote.
