Episode 5x16 - "Wow!!!"

In the season five finale, only Pete, Rob, and Sean were left standing. Pete and Sean assumed that if the other won the final Immunity challenge, they would take Rob to the end with them and eliminate the other. Rob felt he was sitting pretty in the middle, despite feeling doomed when it came to facing the Jury.

After Rob threw, Sean and Pete battled for their lives and a shot in the finals in the Final Immunity Challenge. In the end, Sean narrowly beat Pete and secured himself a spot in the finals.

Before Sean could make his decision, and knowing his time was likely up, Pete called for Sean and Rob to ask themselves if the ends justify the means in terms of their dirty gameplay throughout the season. When it came time for Sean to decide, he chose to eliminate Pete, making the original Captain the final member of the Jury.

The Final Tribal Council arrived and saw two allies and constant flippers, Sean and Rob, facing an angry Jury. Going in, Sean was the heavy favorite for his better social game and more aggressive gameplay. Sean's win seemed inevitable. The Jury blasted both finalists for their betrayals and unnecessary promises throughout the game.

As the Final Tribal Council progressed, Sean began to lose support from the Jury as Rob continued to vilify Sean with well written responses. Rob began to snap in private and felt the heat, but kept it together and contained himself at Tribal Council. Sean grew increasingly frustrated as he lost more and more Jury support, as Rob's ultimate underdog story from the start of the season reached a fitting end.

The final votes came in one by one, with a clear winner being decided. Sean received votes from Jonas, Vee, and Cao Boi while Rob collected the rest. In a 6-3 vote, Rob Cesternino was declared the winner of Sausage Island 5: Lex vs. Brett.
