Or I wouldn't be asked back. Though being asked back to play a 4th time would be sweet. I don't think any of my other fellow 3 timers would be in a season like that haha

Sekou was going to be our personal interviewer for AS instead of playing, but we had a hole in the cast and he gladly filled it for us. Sekou is a saint.

Top Tier

Kind of obvious if you ask me. He ran the season from start to finish and had a big hand in many of the moves that were made, if not all of the moves. He was always the biggest target from other people, but everyone was afraid to go against him and he had almost everyone thinking they were his F2. And he did all of this without receiving a single vote. He absolutely deserves to come back.

Posted Image
While her placement wasn't the greatest, her impact on the game was huge while she was in it. She was the most talked about player by far and added a dynamic to the game that many people cannot say they did. Some of the things she did may have been a bit misguided, but she did by herself some time by playing the idol correctly which isn't as easy as people think ( (: ). If she would've started the game off a little slower than I think she could've gone pretty far.

Posted Image
Leann was a very entertaining player IMO. Her confessionals were always great and she was one of the bigger players in a season dominated mostly by the two above as far as spotlight goes. She had the root-ability factor going for her and she deserved to win this game almost as much as anyone. She would be an excellent addition to some sort of All-Star season.

Middle Tier

Posted Image
John might be getting shit from the jury about riding Jamie's coattail, but there were many UTR moves that he made that helped both him and Jamie get to the point that they did. His connection with Chet was pretty key in them making it to the end and he also was able to survive many TC's consecutively in the beginning of the game.

Posted Image
As the game went on, Dreamz really stepped up his game. He was probably the one person who never gave up hope at making the end and was willing to do whatever he had to in order to make that happen. His entertainment value also added a lot to the cast and he definitely should be brought back in some capacity.

Posted Image
Dave is the one person who I feel like didn't live up to his full potential because there were so many times where he would be onto something as far as making some sort of move goes, but then would back out of it due to various reasons. He was on key with a lot of the things that he thought throughout the game and was dealt a rough hand when he was voted out.

Posted Image
Kelly was someone who was very smart throughout the course of the game and knew when she needed to change up her plans to further herself in the game. Distancing herself from Ciera was huge for her because she would've gone shortly after Ciera did if not. The one knock I have on Kelly is that she was the most frustrating out of the whole cast when it comes to wanting them to make a move against Jamie but never doing it. She had some good chances to do so.

Posted Image
Hatch had such a rough time in this game. It seemed like he was always in a tough position, but somehow always ended up getting himself out of it. Him mutinying with Greg was one of the best moves that anyone made in the season, because it bought him time and ultimately helped him get to merge.

Bottom Tier

Posted Image
In my eyes, Chet was the most UTR player all season. It seemed like he was always hiding behind someone else's shadows, whether it be Peih-Gee or Jamie or whoever. He won some key challenges and joined some key alliances and it helped him get as far as he did.

Posted Image
Todd played well, but he was in the unfortunate spot of being in the shadows of the biggest player of the season. He and Jamie were together the entire game and it never seemed like a partnership as much as it was Todd doing what Jamie said. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I perceived it.

Pre-Jurors that should be brought back

1. Peih-Gee
2. Cathy
3. Greg
4. Nick
5. Gillian

In that order.

I agree with a lot of Kim's list. I'd push Chet up into the middle tier, but beyond that it would be my exact list really

Brett and I may do one full final thoughts list soon

Was about to post the final cast/AS analysis when I got this:

"Post cannot include more than 20,000 characters in length."

Apparently I wrote a lot! Gonna post that in two parts and then finally open Waffle up

FINAL ANALYSIS

Some were written by myself, some were written by Brett. These are our thoughts on each player and whether we're considering them for a second chance or an All Star season:

Posted Image

Our first boot! Unfortunately, Gillian didn't get much of a chance to shine, but for the time she was here, she was a very fun player to have. One of the last minute addition players who ended up on Saptano, Gillian was a funny character and very invested. Unfortunately, I think inexperience got the best of her and she didn't manage to quite catch up on making up for lost time socially, so when her name came up, she was as good as gone.

I think under different circumstances, Gillian could actually have a good shot at going far. She's likable, and an invested player. It would be interesting to watch her again in some sort of second chance season.

Highs: Planning to burn the extra Todd in the fire as fuel
Lows: First boot!

Posted Image

I don't really have a lot to say about Katie. She ended up being the one on the outs of original Lugata. I'm not sure how hard she fought to escape the vote, but it was a foregone conclusion by the time they officially lost that she would be the boot. In the end, she ended up voting Greg because someone asked her to, to "send a message."

I'm not sure how well she would do if given another chance, but I don't really think she did anything to warrant another go as Katie.

Highs: Promising application and attempted recovery
Lows: Rough patch at the start ended up being her undoing.

Posted Image

Another one where I'm not to sure what to say. Angie was the second boot on Saptano, but there was at least some threat of her going first in Gillian's place. Angie apparently rubbed a few people the wrong way and was seen as boring by her fellow tribemates. Then when she accidentally made it public that she was attempting to form an alliance, she got a reputation for being a snake, while I'm not sure that she actually did a thing to earn that.

If she played again, it probably wouldn't be as Angie.

Highs: Proposing an alliance to 3 others in the tribe's group chat by mistake.
Lows: Proposing an alliance to 3 others in the tribe's group chat by mistake

Posted Image

Danni was a very bold and blunt player. She started the game in a comfortable girl's alliance on Gwad, but quickly grew distrustful of Ciera and came to hate her when Ciera sat Kelly out of a challenge over her. After 'The List', she called Ciera out in public during the puzzle challenge. This might not have been her best move, but it was certainly entertaining. She was involved in a plan to vote out Leann at that round's Tribal Council, and it nearly worked. In the end, her public outbursts ended up hurting her and her Gwad allies on the tribe turned on her.

She was devoted to the game and went down fighting, which is always great. She's in the pot for some sort of second chance season, but there are others who are probably a bit above her.

Highs: Her public accusations against Ciera and their mini rivalry arc was entertaining.
Lows: Shot herself in the foot by being a loose cannon and was cut loose by her former tribe mates.

Posted Image

Nick was very easy to root for, and most of Waffle was. He replaced Sarge, and I'm upset that he was scratched from the cast originally. I would've liked to see him play from the start. Ultimately it didn't matter on his original tribe, because he quickly got to work bonding with his tribe mates. He did so well that he began to bump Captain Chet as the fourth and rose to the third or probably even the second spot on his tribe's hierarchy. The swap put him in a lousy position and that's when his late game start may have hurt him, since he didn't have many cross tribal connections.

He fits the bill almost perfectly for a second chance season, and most definitely deserves it.

Highs: Very active and dedicated to the game. Wanted to play extremely bad, which is a big plus. Very robbed
Lows: Not many. Just didn't have the connections needed to stay in the swap. His biggest mistake was scorning Laura and not going with his gut about putting her higher on his list. Though their friendship turned rivalry was great.

Posted Image

I think it'll shock most of the players, but Kathy was Waffle's heavy favorite at the start of the game. She was incredibly likable and happy to have been cast, and entertained and made us laugh in her confessional's, on AIM, and in her tribe's chat. She played the game better than most thought she was by trying to dumb herself down and not seem like a threat, which worked out really well for her. She was a part of the short lived Gwad girls alliance, but was the first to betray it when she realized she was likely fourth.

Kathy has one of the highest chances of being asked back for a robbed returnee season.

Highs: One of the most likable cast members. Constantly funny and kept things light. Active while in the game and in pre-jury
Lows: Pretty much none. Just wasn't able to save herself when she got a bad swap.

Posted Image

Yau started off the game very slowly, which we didn't expect from him. His confessional updates trickled in slower than we would've liked. Many of us wanted to see him start to pick it up. Fortunately he did after he was ranked as least liked on Gwad. On his new tribe, he flipped on his former tribe mates and became a central figure in that round. The vote was nearly turned on him several times, but he ended up surviving it. Unfortunately for him, it backfired the very next round when John argued his case to stay far better than Yau seemed to.

He was decent, but never lived up to his potential. I'd prefer to see the player back for a second go, not necessarily the character.

Highs: Didn't stick with his tribe after they ranked him as least liked.
Lows: Slow start and never got his footing in the game. Poor confessionals.

Posted Image

PG was probably the 'biggest' pre-jury player. Many of the PW's were surprised to see her go so early. She had a great start in the game and quickly ran Saptano, making it look effortless. Had a huge round during 'The List' swap when her great social skills placed her on the most liked on her tribe and also earning her the puzzle attack challenge win. Her choosing to vote with Gwad was a crucial point in the game. She hatched a great plan to get Nick to Brig to her tribe so she could take control of it and vote out Jamie next. It was one of the only serious plots against Jamie to form all game, and was nearly a perfect plan. Unfortunately, while she was on Gwad for the round, her closest ally Nick was voted out and the Brig plan went down in flames. In a dramatic five person vote, she made a critical mistake by approaching Jamie about voting out Dreamz, which Jamie used as ammo to get Dreamz against her.

Like Nick, pretty much fits the bill for a favorite/robbed/second chance season perfectly. Great player gone too early.

Highs: Incredibly social and had a good grip on the game to start. Very active for the most part. Big pre-merge player.
Lows: Lost a lot of steam after Nick was blindsided due to vacation and losing focus due to Nick leaving.

Posted Image

Despite his lack of confessionals, Dan was pretty great. He's one of the friendlier and more likable cast members, and most players didn't seem to have anything bad to say about him. He was in a great spot on original Lugata and had a great chance to go far within that group. Unfortunately for him, he was seen as almost TOO likable and was considered to be the glue that held Lugata together, so he was the target for Ciera's idol. He became the third person ever idol'd out of Sausage Island, and the only one pre-merge.

Dan has a lot of potential and room to grow. That, plus his positive attitude and him being idol'd out early would make him a good candidate to return. The only negative would be that he was lacking in the confessional department.

Highs: Very friendly. New to ORG's and the community in general. Very happy to be playing and seemed to have fun.
Lows: Needs more confessionals!

Posted Image

Greg had the funniest character gimmick that I've seen in quite some time. The idea of taking on a new personality for every person you're talking to is so hilarious to me. Especially when he introduced the shuffling, which meant that several people would experience different Greg's at different points in the game. While none of us expected Greg to last because of this, he still entertained us thoroughly and began to make strong game moves the longer he survived. Him and Hatch were the first to use The Brig, changing the game at that time quite a bit. Wanted to make a big early move and go after Jamie before merge, but didn't quite have the social connections to pull it off, plus changed his mind later. Was eventually blindsided after his fateful challenge throw.

I have no idea how Greg would function if he was to return. Would he keep up the character gimmick? How would everyone in his new cast react knowing that he would be different to each of them? Greg is a puzzle.

Highs: Very hilarious concept and execution most of the time. Kept us entertained all season. Hilarious video outburst at Ciera.
Lows: Throwing challenges! And being anti-social despite having a gimmick that relied entirely on being social.

Well she certainly stood out! (: . Ciera impacted the season quite a bit and in various ways. It became apparently almost immediately that she was destined to either be blindsided pre-merge, or be voted out the first round of the merge. No matter what tribe Ciera joined, she was in mortal danger and never seemed to have an idea until later. Despite this, she was most definitely playing the game for herself and made moves. She received an idol and used it effectively at the final hour to send Dan home, and would've left had she not. She survived due to swaps, an idol, and Immunity wins, and it kept many of us on the edge of our seats and entertained.

She was the most talked about player of the season, whether it was good or bad. One of the biggest players of the season and certainly a stand out for an All Star season.

Highs: Had a large impact on the season. Very active, dedicated, and eager to do well.
Lows: Was clueless about her position on her tribe more often than not. Wasn't able to gather enough people who wanted to keep her.

Posted Image

Well this was a sad case. Laura had a ton of potential and a really fun story line going, but it was all cut short. When it was revealed to her that she was on the bottom of Saptano, Laura began to step it up and ended up betraying her former ally Nick. She found new life in "Ciera's cult", which I believe she was the sole follower in. Later on, she took the Brig offer and switched with Leann, but immediately regretted the decision which was funny to us. Her activity and promise came to a halt when she simply vanished. Not much more to say about that really. She became the only player in the series to have to be replaced while on the Jury, which is disappointing. It happens though! Hopefully she's fine and all.

It's hard to say if she should come back or not. She played the game well and was fun to watch, but her vanishing doesn't help her case.

Highs: Her story line with Nick, ditching her tribe after being ranked last, and taking the Brig offer.
Lows: Disappearing!

Posted Image

We felt bad for Hatch throughout the entire game. He seems to be a very skilled player but could simply never get his footing throughout the season. Hatch started off slow but picked up steam very quickly. He took reigns of Gwad, but it was all behind the scenes. The List revealed that he was actually on top, which surprised a lot of people. He had a rough time from then on out. Gained some footing when he convinced Greg to Brig with him, which ended up being a pretty great move for him. Him burying the hatchet with Ciera also helped, but between the two of them they simply couldn't gain enough allies. Hatch was always seen as a thorn in everyone's side and was labeled a rat very early on for reasons I never fully understood.

I'd love to see Hatch back with a fresh start. He seemed to have a very frustrating time throughout the game and I'd like to see what he could do with another chance.

Highs: Never gave up despite everyone being against him. Always tried to weasel his way through to another round. Knew his position and worked hard to change it.
Lows: Quickly became disliked by everyone else in the merge. Made a critical mistake by misplaying his Idol

Posted Image

Dave was hilarious. He remained slightly under the radar, but in a great way. He knew early on that his best bet would be to hang back at times and try to gain good social connections, something he's very good at. The alliance that began to form between him and Greg was one of my favorite's of the season, and I was really upset to see the two grow apart from each other. Throughout the merge, Dave hatched a few plans to strike against Jamie, but never ended up getting anything going. If he had, I think he would've had a great chance to go on and win. I was pretty shocked to see none of his social connections come through when he was voted out unanimously.

He'd be great to have back. He was very entertaining and kept things fun all season.

Highs: Very funny and great to interact with in his confessionals. Was constantly thinking about how to better his position.
Lows: Waited too long to make a move, something he desperately didn't want.

Posted Image

Another very funny player. We had Dreamz pegged as a funny but trolly pre-jury boot. We were wrong! The thing that surprised me most about Dreamz was how loyal he ended up being. His in game personality was exactly what I expected it to be, but the way he played the game was not. He ended up being more skilled than we anticipated and we were very glad for that. With each round, Dreamz seemed to step it up and really fought to stay. He ended up in a few pivotal positions in the game and had a hand in how things played out. The more Dreamz was lied to, the more I was rooting for him to get something going and turn the tides. I didn't expect him to be one of the more rootable players of the season.

Great chance of returning. A funny and over the top, but skilled player. I'd like to see him operate with a fresh cast.

Highs: Entertaining, over the top, and surprisingly loyal and easy to root for.
Lows: Couldn't sway enough people his side to pull anything off

Posted Image

Todd gave a lot of false hope throughout the season, which was the biggest disappointment of all. His start was slow, but around the first swap when it was revealed he was the least liked, he began to pick it up and impress us. He showed a lot of awareness and had some really good ideas leading up to the merge. His plan of hiding behind Jamie for awhile was a strong one, until...that's all he ended up doing. He constantly teased us with plans to turn the table on Jamie and John but never showed a hint of trying to make it happen. Instead, he struggled with the decision of trying to win the game vs simply allowing his close new friend Jamie to beat him in the end. He ended up being blindsided by Jamie and was labeled as his lap dog by the other players.

His chances of returning as Todd aren't too high. He failed to live up to his promises and ended up following too much. And a juror not showing up to vote at the FTC is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Highs: Very aware at times. Had strands of good plans and thoughts.
Lows: Never attempted to pull anything off. Didn't cast a final jury vote.

Posted Image

Captain Chet was pretty great. Despite being a Captain, he played a very subtle and under the radar game. He was never in full control on any tribe he was on, and was usually seen as a strong number two to someone else. The 'funniest' thing about Chet is how critical of himself and his game play he grew to be. He was constantly too hard on himself and resorted to acting like a clown to get by each round, when I think he could've tried to take the reigns at a few points if he wanted to. He kept me laughing with his weird upside down Chet face, or pixelated Chet face, or Chet happens gifs. Towards the end, he stayed too loyal to John and Jamie when he should've explored other options. He was ditched when it was discovered the game was a final two and not a final three.

Chet has a good chance to return. He made it far for a Captain, was fun to have around, and stayed very active throughout. He also proved to be a bit of a challenge threat.

Highs: Entertaining with his strange self deprecating sense of humor. Very active, strong in challenges, and fun to have.
Lows: Sometimes too self deprecating when he could've been trying to do more to take charge. Was too trusting towards the end game and perhaps too UTR at times.

Kelly was very much like Todd throughout the season, she just came a bit closer to winning. Her game started off pretty strong. I thought she'd stick around for awhile and take charge at some point. She got into an early alliance on Gwad and had a strong connection with Ciera, but quickly grew to distrust Ciera much like everyone else on the tribe. However, she was totally left in the dark with those talks and was unknowingly on the outs along with Ciera. The swap placed her in a better swap, and her close call earlier caused her to start to plot against Ciera. The next swap ruined her plans and put her in a terrible position. She was very fortunate to stay when the tribe threw to get her out, and that was perhaps her last shining moment. She spent the merge under Jamie's shadow, reporting back to him when she should've been attempting to take him and John down. Like Todd, she showed threads of ideas concerning this, but never lived up to any of them. Many were pulling for her to wake up and attempt a move, but it never came to be and she was ditched short of the finale.

Kelly's a tough one. While she's very capable and showed a ton of promise, she never quite lived up to it and was frustrating more often than not. I'd rather her return with a fresh start as a new character, but I wouldn't count Kelly out.

Highs: Showed awareness and made some smart decisions at times. Came up with good plans that would've helped her succeed.
Lows: Had chances to make moves but never quite did. Impatient.

Leann was excellent. She was without a doubt the most unique player of the bunch. Her strangely formatted confessionals and rambling were constantly hilarious and fun to read. Of the three Captains, she had the best grasp on her original tribe. Unfortunately, this was about all she had. Maybe it was because she was the Captain, but she was perhaps too loyal to original Lugata. While everyone raved about how tight Lugata was, all of Lugata wanted to explore other options...except Leann. This wasn't a terrible thing, she just wasn't aware how much her original tribe didn't want to stick together. She survived a close call or two and made the merge, where she remained very loyal to original Lugata until she heard they were straying away from the group. This caused her to remain, like many others, too loyal to Jamie and John when she really should've done something else. She had a stroke of genius at the final five when she wanted to betray the two of them and vote Jamie out, which would've set her up perfectly for a win. Then...she changed her mind. In my opinion, that cost her the win. Still, I was surprised to learn that Leann's a relatively new player, which in my mind answers a lot of questions about some choices that she made.

One of the stand out players of the season. Very original and wrote great confessionals. Came extremely close to pulling off a win. She's a very welcome addition to a returnee season.

Highs: Original, fun, and entertaining. Great confessionals and strong challenge performances. Became Captain and found/used an HII in a unique way.
Lows: Loyal to a fault. Could've taken the game into her own hands but failed to capitalize at the perfect time.

John was always my dark horse pick to win the game, so I wasn't shocked to see him in the finals at all. I always somewhat expected him there. He started off the game on the right foot, getting into a strong position on original Saptano despite some IRL distractions. He pushed through them impressively and found himself in a good position. His shining moment came when he was set to be booted on the newly swapped Gwad tribe. Instead of giving up, he spent his night forming very tight bonds with Leann and Dan. It was an impressive showing and it allowed him to stay over Yau Man. Later, he met up with his cross-tribal ally Jamie and kept it a secret for the entire game. While too many others tried to hide behind Jamie to keep the target off of themselves, that spot was permanently occupied by John, and he played the part very well. No one ever knew how close the two were, even at very obvious moments (to us). He was often the alternative boot, but remained cool despite this. While he toyed with ideas of betraying Jamie, I don't think he was ever very serious about it. Unfortunately for John, most jurors assumed he lived in Jamie's shadow a bit too much and rode his coattails. While this is partly true, I think he was a large part of him and Jamie's success and never got full credit for that. If he was able to argue his case a bit stronger at the FTC, he very well could have walked away with the win.

I'd love to see John back in a new environment. He played a near perfect UTR game and was a strong dark horse all season long.

Highs: Very likable and social, always thought things through, and was part of the strongest duo of the season.
Lows: A sub par FTC performance and an unfortunate coattail rider label.

A very deserving winner, and one that I've been comparing to Kim Spradlin's One World game. He had a strong grip of the game from near the start to the finish. Jamie actually got a slightly late start to the game. He didn't participate in the Captain's Challenge and didn't do a whole lot in the first week, but he soon stepped it up big time. His skill came out in the first swap when he took control of his tribe and destroyed PG's game, eliminating one of his biggest threats early on. He went on to further show his handle on the game when he took control of Dyndeth and blindsided Greg out of it. At the merge, he was able to convince players to remain with him when none of them had any good reason to. When someone outlived their usefulness, he discarded them and sent them to the Jury. He remained untouchable for most of the merge, and survived a few Tribal Council's that he really should not have due to his social grasp and perhaps his opponents' timidness. His partnership with John dominated the season and he earned his win quite clearly.

Our winners are always welcome back in future seasons and encouraged to try to hold onto the title. A great aspect of an All Star season is to see how players do while everyone else knows their game and reputation, and Jamie is a great example of that.

Highs: The winner! Played a great strategic, social, and physical game. Owned the game in all three aspects.
Lows: Made quite a few enemies along the way! Seen as fake by many of his fellow players.
