Could Joe have won had he made the end? (:

They all seemed to love him

I saw this from that Redmond guy:

"Has anyone checked the S32 ponderosa vids? Might reveal the 33 winner."

guess I'm not catching up on any S32 Ponderosa videos

Yeah I don't get how that would spoil it but this is the guy who spoils the casts for all seasons. (S34 upcoming too) I'll take his word for it

The Cambodia ponderosa videos apparently spoiled the entire Jury for Kaoh Rong. There were shots of their legs walking on a pier

"Just a joke. Apparently the S31 ponderosa vids showed the S32 jury members in it."

I wish they highlighted Michelle's Jerseyness earlier. It all clicked in once she spoke on it. The scrappy but hot small town Jersey barmaid who does not really strive to do much but is able to accomplish everything flawless. like julia roberts in mystic pizza or something.

Michelle did seem like .... made in a Survivor factory to be a Survivor Winner Robot in some sense. Everything was perfect on paper, like almost a Sandra strategy given its proper due, but without any clear charisma. Like think about stuff like the whole soundbite, "I don't need to be carried, bro," and how that was perfect but she said it in such a monotone way that also made it even more perfect? She's going to be such an interesting addition to the lore. Like Danni Boatwright and Kim Spradlin had a child that was given a Sophie edit?

Aubry though however felt like redemption for like so much of the way women are portrayed on the show. I am glad for that ride. 2nd place felt fitting after scene after scene of her wallowing at her misfortune but still having some form of optimism. What a great character.

I actually have never felt emotional for someone to get voted out as I was for Cydney. Tears were welling up - it was bizarre. I love that they did not shove this mother stuff down my throat and it was really effective?

It was just really nice to see Survivor female contestants that were so confident of who they were, and the editors trusted that and allowed them to be portrayed as such.

What a fabulous season. It felt like my own personal fanfic at moments. It is such a great companion series to San Juan del Sur. It was like SJDS's lowkey younger sister. It had such a femme feel to it and I love that stuff like Aubry's predominant ambivalence or Cydny's proclivity to act on her (always accurate) intuition that shady shit went down, that these things were not portrayed as weak and foolish in lieu of some alpha male or gamebot sludge. All of it cumulating in this uniquely genuine camp moment (in a culture in which self-awareness and irony is all the rage) of fucking Sia rewarding Tai for showing vulnerability. Insane. Bonkers. Loved it.

But most of all I am so weirded out as to how the past 5 pages are not wholly and comprehensively concerning The Sia Moment.

Ninety-five percent of the time the players who don't win are vastly more fascinating than the ones who do, and I believe that at least part of the former category's magnetism is a result of the them falling just Shórt of the title. See for example: Kathy V.O., Rob C., Rob M., Cirie, Sugar (as much of a trainwreck as she was), Russell H. (as much as I hate to admit it), Parvati, Holly, Coach, Dawn, Lisa W., Spencer B., Kass, Kelly Wentworth, etc. Sometimes the person who plays the hardest or flashiest game doesn't win and that's the beauty of survivor, each season basically exists in vacuum and there is no guaranteed formula that will get you the win.

Beautifully said and I fully agree with this. Not for any personal reasons concerning me, at all, of course! ;-)

OK I am halfway through RHAP's comprehensive interview with Michelle and she is just .... so cool. Any people who still doubt her light should listen; it's pretty obvious why anyone would want to give her million.

It's crazy how editors like land on 'chill bartender' given her life experience and general demeanor.
