After all of the tension, both Rodney and Brice survive and Vytas goes home. Can't believe all three of Monica/Rodney/Brice are at the final four, it's crazy and great. Honestly out of everyone who made the merge...I'm not sure we could get a more deserving group of four. This is a very very good F4 and I wouldn't really replace any of them

Final challenge tomorrow night. Gonna be huuuuuge

I still can't get over how overall the newbies seriously outplayed all of the vets. Even if Monica somehow ends up winning in the end, the newbies still trounced the vets over the course of the game. Definitely refreshing to see cause usually on tv show the vets cream the rookies

What do you think, Lex, as someone who has seen all the returnees play? Do you think them being pre jurors played into it or the fans being more unified than suspected?

I am now imagining CBS doing a Fans vs. Pre-Jurors season and it sounds amazing. Stacey Powell/Amy O'Hara final two, please.

Those. Those are liars so red team look out for those right there. It wasn’t a team. It is Benjamin, Albert, and Sophie. But who is the ending two? Benjamin and Albert. But Benjamin is running the team. Benjamin is running the team. Makes ALL the decisions. (“Coach?”) No Benjamin. Adults call him Benjamin. So I’m not gonna call him Coach. What’s his name? What was his birth name? It wasn’t Coach, it was Benjamin. And you know, they’re children. 26, 22. They go listen to all of Benjamin’s Halloween jokes. Chuck E. the Cheese jokes. They want it. He go off the Lord take them off their feet. ‘Oh Benjamin! It’s so loyalty’. C’mon. Everyday he got a story. I wasn’t buying it. (rolls eyes, fake laughs). No. So they try like yesterday like the tribe was all cahoots. Benjamin let’s give a hug. PSHT! Keep that hug. (points a “gun” in the air) BOOP! For me. Cause it wasn’t real.

I think they SUCKED!!!!!!!

Ok no some surprised me. Some went out in ways I didn't expect. Some ran into exactly the same issues they did the first time and I wasn't surprised one bit

This was a very strange, scraped together returnee cast tbh, but I was excited for all of them and mostly glad all came back to play. If we got our DREAM second chance cast then it would look quite a bit different and I think this season would be a lot less one sided because of it, but quite a few of the ones we wanted were just too busy. Timing got in the way sadly

Abi: Even though we really only got one short round with her, she was better than expected. Really glad we cast her despite the drop which was out of her control really

Ashley: Ended up how I thought she might. Didn't really take things too seriously but she was fun enough while she was here

Edgardo: Did exactly how we thought he'd do. Him and Ashley were fun to bring back since they were some of our original pre-jurors and fun characters at the time. His time was split between another game which showed. Funny moment with the mutiny tho

Fairplay: It was nice to see him do a bit better, he deserved his second chance I feel. Not terribly surprised that he didn't succeed again though. Kinda went out for different reasons and just when he was picking up steam. You could see his gameplay grow a bit in his few rounds here

Angie: VERY glad we brought her back! The only bright star in a premerge full of darkness. Amazing story and made Isla Muertos twist 1000x better. She'll be back

JT: He surprised me so much. I didn't expect him to take charge or be seen as this huge figure at all, I expected him to kinda just chill and coast a bit at the start. Also very glad he came back so we could see a new side of him. Felt like a different character

Lembo: Was very rootable to me throughout the season. Not the greatest choice to return from Muertos and he didn't make the most of it, but he tried at least. Him and JT made mistakes but they were passionate about this game and worth bringing back. Fun to see cranky Lembo with some fight in him

Amber: Cast her to be our one strong female returnee. She was smart. Not a huge presence but I'm glad she was here, she was a voice of reason a lot of the time. She just needed a more aggressive partner than Colton and they could've pulled off some moves together. Never thought I'd see SI3 Amber back either so that's pretty fun

Vytas: We've talked about him a lot recently. Great guy, very robbed in SI9 and an ideal choice for a second chance season. Didn't live up to his potential here but it happens, we all know he had personal stuff going on and was incredibly busy. Lasted as long as he did despite that though and showed some smart analysis and great fight at the end here. Didn't just roll over and die

Monica: So great. Love having her back. She's grown into such a character this season and has a huge shot to win the whole thing which I really never expected and think is amazing

I don't think them being returnees hurt their games too much tbh, I think it was all just Pussah Patrol. Look at the newbs outside of PP, they didn't do so hot either at all. Several returnees did make mistakes in cutting numbers for them in favor of not rocking the boat. That was the most frustrating thing and sadly a theme of this season. Newbies did it a lot too though

FUN FACT. My original idea for this season depending on the apps that we got were this:

Tribe of six first time players
Tribe of six second time players (2nd chance prejurors)
Tribe of six third/fourth time players (All Stars, series vets)

It was gonna be subtitled First Chance vs. Second Chance vs. Final Chance or something

Would've been a lot of fun I think but we ended up going with this. We felt like only six newbs in favor of six people we've seen play a collective 18-24 times wasn't the best. That would've ended up being a fun season I think but I don't regret going with this format, even with the way the newbs played and the way the season ended up. It was just pure dominance by Pussah Patrol and their lackluster opponents who all hated each other too much to get together that made this season the way it is

It's definitely more of an even playing field I guess, to bring back people who didn't fare so well their first time, as opposed to dropping ten newbies in with a group of ten legitimate Allstars.

That's not to say that some of the returnees this season are not Allstar calibre players, but just based on their first performances in this series, they wouldn't necessarily have qualified, which I think was sort of the point of the season's theme: rising from the dead because you still have something left to prove.

These people were brought back because they had potential to shine but it was cut short. Amber for instance is one of the best players around from what I've heard; she has great instincts and is a natural. Monica impressed me too, she was consistently a voice of clarity and was usually spot on in her assessments . . . it's just that no one would ever really listen to either of them, and Amber didn't put her foot down with Colton, and as far as the vets went the wise were a minority. JT isn't a bad player by any means but he and Dan threw away a lot of their options and they paid the price for that. :( There was no sound reason for them to do that. Why don't you want the power to choose? Why are you putting your fate in the hands of others when you don't have to. It's like picking between chocolate and brussels sprouts and picking brussels sprouts. And as harsh as it is to say, some of these other players flopping their first time around and then flopping again probably wasn't a fluke . . . :\. Factor in the dominant newbie alliance (PP) getting unified quickly, and it's clear that the betting odds weren't really on the second timers.

From what I've seen, which isn't much I guess, there seems to be a trend in Returnees v. Newbies seasons in ORGs that runs almost directly opposite of the actual show. Maybe that's because the qualifications of being a "Favorite" as opposed to an "Allstar" are different in ORGs, but it seems to me like most of the time, the newbies are the ones who come out on top as opposed to the favorites who usually demolish the newbs on our T.V. screens.

It is kinda nice to see it play out the complete opposite of our FvF season (SI4). That was ruled by similar crew to Pussah Patrol but it was a group of Favorites who crushed the Fans

Getting around to Vytas' newest video. Props to him for secretly getting close to Monica and making an alliance when she returned, that was smart thinking and was almost great for his game. He had one vote locked up on his side in F5 and F4 scenarios if Monica kept winning, he'd just need one more at this TC but obviously couldn't get it. Everyone else would've been smart to try to scoop her up onto their side too just in case

Also fun that he's 100% positive that Rodney is playing the best game and Brice is playing for second, opposite of what Lue and others think. Each Juror has an entirely different perspective on what was really going on. I think Vytas might be the single person in this game who knew Rodney's plans in full a lot of the time so he should be bringing some new insight to the Jury

I think Rodney/Brice's easiest path to win is vs Mookie/Vytas. Now I don't know what their plan is, sit next to eachother? I guess it's some insurance but if Monica wins IC that would be so hilarious. I think Rodney's plan is to go to the end with Brice and make a fuck boy out of him, I honestly think he's going to go in hard and I can't wait. Brice punted pretty hard too. Boot rodney, win IC, boot monica gg

Also this is probably an unpopular opinion but I really want to see a brice/mookie/rodney FTC. It feels like such a good end to the season, 2 huge personalities battling against each other for the win would feel so satisfying, no matter the outcome. Monica getting to the end would still be a cool arc, but it wouldn't be as intense/interesting imo.
