*sad face* Dang it Brice. It's a 1* really, because Brice's vote is stupid and not really based on anything.

He articulated some strategy on it. It's a legitimate vote.

But honestly guys I don't really know what Brice did that was so bad? Yeah, he has shit self awareness, but he tries his best. Voting for Rodney is actually a really smart move. It's not going to work out, but at least he's trying SOMETHING and not just laying down to die.

ya i don't think brice ~owed~ rodney anything so rodney really has no right to be pissed.

he was a cocky little SOB but i do think brice played a good game. i think we were hard on him in PW in part because he made the game boring (also v cocky) but yeah.

also monica should tie this business though i may be biased for entertainment purposes. i do think rodney deserves 2nd or 1st over brice but i do think rodney has trouble in that he never claimed a single move as his own and then amber made that ~prediction~ so we'll seeeeeeee

Yeah part of the anti-Brice sentiment is just him being so cocky mixed with the fact that a lot of his success was due to the passivity of others in the game. It's mostly just viewer frustration. Pussay Patrol was running away with things, no one was stopping them, and Brice was very arrogant about it so a lot of viewer frustration fell on him. He was the type of character badly in need of a downfall or something to knock him from his pedestal, but it just wasn't coming. So Brice became the lightning rod for all the negativity because the others in the alliance weren't nearly as bad about bragging. There's also that the second the game did turn hard on him, his first reaction was to crumple up. AND ALSO HE DOESN'T READ THE RULES AND THAT IS VERY FRUSTRATING.

But he does have a lot of virtues too. Finding two idols was not just luck. He set himself in a position where people trusted him, and within his alliance he positioned himself to guess last without any fallout from it. He forged good enough relationships with Amber and Colton to stop them from uprising, and he managed to become a major front-runner. He's also great about putting his entire self out there, for better or worse, which made him a great character, as we got to see all of his paranoia and emotional volatility along with his cockiness.

I think he was a perfect villain for the season, but I really think if he'd cake-walked to a win it would have been a waste of him as a character, storywise.
