When no magnetic field is present, I naturally assume that West is left and East is right. God knows how that works with North and South, because it can't possibly be up or down. |
But your left isn't my left. See how fucked up that is?
|
Wait, you've got fucking smokes and didn't share? |
Babe I always have smokes. I said so eariler that I had extras. Take one if you want. I have some cigarettes that I should probably give back to Garthon and some novelty It's a Girl cigars I've just had stashed away. Also my premium cigars but those stay with me.

You make a good point.
Things certainly get confusing in space, if only this ship had a North and a South Pole.

I'm just glad that in space we don't float around the ship. I was expecting different. Not sure how I would manage without touching ground, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

I've got a pack of freeze dried cigars from the old days that cost me almost all of my credits. I bought on the black market on Mars just before I signed up for this mission and apparently they are from some place called Cab... Cube something?
I can't remember but they are supposed to be very high quality still since they freeze dried them in that special casing.
I'm saving them for the return home, so If I die a horrible death please take them so they wont get wasted.

I believe these ship are set up to have their own north and south so that the crew does not get confused for directions.

Man those sound awesome. I don't really know what a Cube cigar is but if they are old school black market cigars they sound like something I really wanna smoke.

But who chooses that? Which asshole architect gets to point at a wall and say "Yeah that's definitely north". That is a man with a lot of unchecked power.

I'm just going to assume that it is from the door we come in, whatever is to the left is west, right is east, north is forward, and south is backward. So, it's not from where you are standing, but from the point of the door you come in.
If we go west, where that would still be same direction, the door in front of us would now be north. Odd system, especially for a tracker type like me, but this isn't meant to be entirely logical.
[[I mean, how many times do you see a baby in space and a monster come from nowhere and then literally just stop in its tracks without trying to break down the door and kill us?]]

I'm afraid I wasn't thinkin and I already submitted my exit action... hope I didn't do it before anyone else. I wasn't really wantin' to volunteer to go first

I dont like the whole compass thing. To me ya might as well say forwards and backwards, left and right... thats what it is anyway

Even if you did, you can always take it back and reapply it, but I also don't see why you wouldn't just move forward. Leadership! Everyone should go first at least every once in a while.
