The level of detail is pretty great tbh. Hogsmede and Hogwarts very fun to explore. Maybe TOO many collectibles but it hasn’t bugged me yet. Ask me again in 50 more hours. Still didn’t learn how to fly a broom so feel like I’ve not even breached the surface.

The sorting hat gave me Gryffindor btw

People were complaining about the side fetch quests, but so far I don't mind them since they incentivises you to explore, and there's a lot to explore. But if it continues through the whole game it might get tedious.

I found out that they tell you where you should look if you track the quest.

One thing that was making me furious was that the targeting bugged out randomly during the dueling side-quest. It would show them as targeted when they weren't and vice versa, and sometimes I couldn't swap between targets when locked.
It made the whole thing so much harder than it was supposed to be.

Can't wait to play this. I regret not pre-ordering it before the price tag went way up. I'm conflicted on whether to buy it now or wait a bit.


And yeah, JK Rowling absolutely sucks, but HP was a huge part of my youth and I feel like HP itself has evolved so much beyond what JK Rowling created because of all of the diverse HP fans (including trans youth who grew up with the series) who have kept it alive.

Ah yes the mission targeting makes it way easier. Good good.

Keep coming across things I haven’t learned yet like the eyeball chests and what I assume is Merlin puzzles but haven’t unlocked it yet. Also all the damned locked doors

I hate that I also click REVELIO every 5 seconds to look for things. I kinda want to turn that off but it’s useful to hear him talk in battle

This game is fun. I haven't gotten super far yet but I've had a good time with what I've messed around with and it sounds like there's a lot of replay value.

Not a Harry Potter fan at all, but this is a genre of game I really enjoy and the good reviews convinced me to try it out.
