I could handpick episodes for you to watch of any series in Star Trek or Stargate to whet thy appetite.

I'll pick out 8 episodes from TNG, DS9 and SG-1 and you'll become a fan of all three and want to go back and watch the whole shows.

I can’t watch a random hand picked episode. I have too much OCD to purposefully do that. I’d need to start for episode 1. Like I am. For Naruto.

The first chris pine movie was honestly dope. Cmon. You agree no?

The second was eh. And I think if there was a third it suckee

What if I pick 8 great episodes but you also watch the pilot to know the characters but agree not to stop after the pilot if you hate said blah pilot. Heck 5 episodes and the pilots!

These shows are episodic. Not serialized. Each episode is more or less stand alone.

If each episode is standalone then that’s a potential for me to watch. There’s literally no arcs running through seasons? How’s that possible.

Each episode is a standalone story. Some impact others, of course, but the conceit of these shows is that they go to a new planet and meet a new people or solve a new problem each episode. I could compile some that would better connect for you in Stargate, but for the most part episodes are episodic. =) Deep Space Nine connects more later on but yeah most are episodic still.

I shall compile thee a list of 5ish Stargate SG-1 episode, 5ish Star Trek The Next Generation episodes, and 5ish Deep Space Nine Episodes! I'll watch them as well and quiz you on them. I mean rejoice with you on how amazing they are.

I shall take the night to ponder on what episodes might strike your fancy in these great shows and start a new thread of self discovery named Vern's Enlightenment when I have found said episodes. Do you like action, adventure, court room dramas, morality stories, character pieces? Mysteries?!

I'm rewatching stargate right now, many of the episodes that seem standalone at first become related to later episodes, but not all, but there's no real reason to not watch them as standalone at first.

Star Trek original series is really bad and the newest (Discovery) is pretty bad as well later.

The others are all great.
Oh and every other Star Trek movie is good/great, first one is terribad with a few good scenes.

And Galaxy Quest is one of the best Star Trek movies lol.

I had to stop watching Naruto Shippuden because of the fillers, which I wasn't skipping for the most part.
Naruto is mostly for kids, but Shippuden is for teens+, but you really can't just skip Naruto.
Should probably finish it some time soon.

One Piece is just great, especially the latest season.

The TOS episode with Kirk battling an alien at Vazquez Rocks is hilarious.
