The winds of change approach!
At last night's tribal council reveal, poor Matty was eliminated. I call him poor because I've never spoken to him, and he truly missed out on a rich experience by not conversing with the lovely Syd Wheeler. His loss, well it's a double loss since he both lost the game and lost the opportunity to converse with yours truly, but I have no complaints. The last member of the jury was somebody who I have no connection with AND was most likely never going to vote for me to win in the end. Score one for the blonde model with the killer calves!
I am shocked that Matty was eliminated over James though. Don't get me wrong I love that decision, it's just curious given Dana's apparently siding with Brad and Gervase (hint: that was the wrong move for her, but thanks for doing it babe ;) ). Perhaps they were eliminating their weakest tribemate and also removing the first original Sakai from the game. Two strong reasons to kick Matty out. He also was probably the biggest sheep in this game, so taking care of him leaves the possibility for a big merge move down the road. I have to think that Kat whispered sweet somethings in Dana's ear about this decision- they are scissor sisters after all! Ever since Dana kept information about her idol hidden from me (not sure if I mentioned this before, but Dana never told me she bought a second idol half, AND when she was going to tribal and not playing it, she gave it to Kat for safekeeping), I have trusted her and Kat less and less. Of course I'll still pretend to be cozy with them. #OzatoSistas 4 evaaaa, Blonde Ambition, blah blah it's all crap for me now. Those two I'll be fake friends with, but I have other friends to be tighter with.
Ever since I arrived on NuKi after the swap, I instantly clicked with both Eliza and Jefra. They are great players, people, and are generally fun to talk to. I think Kat is a bit of a strategy bot now, and she always has hidden motives. Maybe Eliza and Jefra are playing me well, but they both seem like genuine ladies who will have my back. I'm also a huge fan of Julia, and when I mentioned this group of four to Eliza, she ate it up. I'm talking heart-eyed emojis and everything! Why wouldn't she want that four? It's her original Sakai ladies plus me, the cutest little girl you'll ever meet. But seriously, I seemingly pose no threat as a complete mess in challenges. If this group of four can come together and accomplish something big, that would be my best bet at going deep in this game.
Assuming we do merge, I think I'd be best served at eliminating Brad and Gervase first. I don't think anybody will mind them leaving, and it removes a few guys who really aren't serving use for me. After that, I desperately want to see Jon Dalton leave this game. That dude is putting on a strong impression of the real JFP, and it's a bit scary for somebody who isn't quite on his side. Yes we've had decent convos, but we haven't talked game one iota. Granted we haven't been on a team together, but still. You know that dude has ulterior motives, and I'm not in his plans. Or we may not merge yet, and I do my best to make sure this small-ass tribe of four doesn't go to tribal. If it does, I will have to work with Eliza to see who she prefers to leave. I had a plan about baiting people to vote me and then using my idol, but I truly think I can avoid doing so.

Interesting turn of events here! I wasn't convinced we were merging, 13 would be a crazy amount of people to do it with, but I most definitely wasn't expecting a double tribal. To compound the twists, James mutinied over to Ozato, which increases the chance that Kat could survive a vote on this tribe.
Right now, I am confident that Eliza and I control the decision on this tribe. She has absolute 100% trust in Caleb, and I do think he would fight for me just as loyally down the road as he would for her. If it's down to me and her, I'm not sure where he goes, but I feel fairly confident keeping him in. I also feel good about keeping James in. I think he would be a useful person to have in my pocket, and it's clear from his decision to mutiny over to Ozato vs Sakai that he probably prefers me to most people in this game. We've had great convos, and I told him I'd do my best to protect him on this tribe.
Then we have The Curious Case of the Conniving Kat, which is NOT the next Nancy Drew book title. (Side note: Playing Nancy Drew computer games was a highlight of my childhood, and I still dabble in them. 10/10 recommend)I can tell she trusts me the most, more than probs only Dana in this game, but I just think she's fishy. I already have ammo to use against her if we do go to tribal, as she privately requested I do the tiebreaker instead of Eliza, as she fears Eliza would throw it for Sakai. If I leak that to Eliza after a loss, Kat's game is done. Over. Sayonara! I don't want to let her know before her tiebreaker because then she might get pissed at Kat and actually want to throw the challenge, which is no bueno.
I absolutely want to win immunity, but I refuse to usurp Eliza's chance at playing in order to do it. Let's be real- I don't stand much of a shot for winning it anyway. With real survivor trivia, most of these names takes half a millisecond to pop into my head. Eliza has quicker posting/reaction speed than me (as shown in her crazy challenge times so far), so that's why I feel best having her compete.
Ideally Ozato wins this as the four other people on my tribe are some of the best people I could pick to enter merge with. They all have my back! Seeing Sakai go to tribal would be great because that group needs to have a tough vote. Get them cracking before merge and I'm golden. This is a huge competition that will shape the way the rest of the game unfolds, and I need to be on the right side of the immunity challenge. | |

YAAAAAS Eliza came through for the tribe and we are safe. Idgaf if Dana leaves Ki or not (she probs will be, leaving Kat all to myself!) and I have my fingers crossed that my two blonde cuties stay safe on Sakai. It wouldn't be the WORST thing in the world if Julia got booted since I think she has stronger ties with like JFP and them, but preferably FairPlay leaves tonight. He's just too sketchy for my tastes. If he doesn't leave, I hope Marisa does cus we just haven't talked that much.
Another round of safety most likely right before final 11 merge, and I'm happier than a pig in shit :D | |
