Gervase! You were a joy to watch. For a first time player, the entire VL was astounded by your perception and grasp on the strategic aspect of this game. You certainly did better than a lot of us were anticipating, and being the last remaining member of your OG tribe (and the only one to make merge) is no easy feat. Hold your head high! Anyway, thanks for being dedicated and thanks for playing!

A unanimous vote! Were you surprised by that? Who made a mistake by sending you here?

What was your undoing? Is there anything you'd do differently if you could go back in time?

Who's joining you soon?

Who are you rooting for? Against?

Who's joining you soon?Who would you never vote for?

Who's going to be this season's Sole Survivor?

Thanks again Gervase!

A unanimous vote! Were you surprised by that? Who made a mistake by sending you here?
I was a little surprised that I was voted out unanimously, but I don't think it's an accurate representation of where I stood in this game. I ultimately was only able to get a group of five together for a vote rather than the six that would be needed for a majority, so the rest of my allies switched their votes to me so they wouldn't jeopardize their own games (which I probably would've done too in the circumstances).
I think Spencer made a mistake in voting me out. He allowed himself to be swayed by Caleb, who had it out for me for some unknown reason. While I get that he probably wanted to get on the same side as the person who has the idol (Caleb apparently has it), my good relationships with the Sakai girls could've been really useful for Spencer and the rest of his alliance.
What was your undoing? Is there anything you'd do differently if you could go back in time?
I could point to a lot of different things here. The main thing is that I should've talked to Jonny and James more. I built good relationships with Spencer and Marisa (both of them said they didn't want to vote me out, but it happened anyway lol), but I guess I didn't talk to the other two original Ki members enough for them to feel bad enough about voting me out.
Who's joining you soon?
If everything stays how it is right now, Dana, Eliza, or Sydney will probably come to Ponderosa next, but I hope they don't...
Who are you rooting for? Against?
I'd definitely root for one of the three I just mentioned or Kat, because they treated me very well and it would be really exciting for everything to turn upside down, leaving one of them on top. If that doesn't happen, I would root for Spencer. He's played a great social and strategic game, and I'm sure it'll continue.
Who would you never vote for?
I would never vote for Caleb. Unless something really dramatic happens, I could never see myself voting for someone who asks where "Taylor", the fourth host, is and answers "Brenda" when asked to name a woman from Survivor on a red tribe from before Season 8. Reading Brad and Jefra's answers also really makes me not want to vote for him.
Who's going to be this season's Sole Survivor?
Spencer's got a really great chance to win. Even though he sent me home, he's such a good social player that I still don't dislike him for it. Of course, now that I'm hyping him up so much, he'll probably get voted out next!

Dana is PROBABLY the smartest player in the game. I'd be shocked if she made it to the end though.

Caleb is probably not going home next but it might hurt the girls if they keep him in the long run. Remember the episode title "Genetically Engineered to be a Goat"? That was me about Caleb. I felt bad that I might have been too harsh but that feeling is gone now.

The girls are playing him and I hope he is completely and devastatingly blindsided in a couple of votes. Although it'd be a lot of fun to have him at FTC facing the jury...

If Caleb leaves, he gets blindsided and we get to eviscerate him in here.

If Caleb makes FTC, he loses horribly and gets eviscerated THERE.

Win-win really.

HI JFP :( I think I speak for pretty much everyone in the VL when I say we were really glad to see you come back and try your hand at Twisted again. I'm really happy that you accomplished your merge/jury goal and you were most definitely a force to be reckoned with. Your confessionals were fantastic (definitely one of my fave confessors of the season, but shhh) and you should certainly be very proud of the game you played here.

Do you think anything could have been done to prevent your boot? Where do you think you went wrong? Do you have any regrets?

Who do you think has the best chance at winning this game? Who will be joining you on the jury soon?

You called Caleb a dragon on your way out. Care to explain this to everyone who does not have the ~Privilege~ of being able to view your confessionals?

Who are you rooting for? Against?

Who would you never vote for?
check your org privilege

Daww thank you Keri <3 And honestly, the most important goal was reached: I DIDN'T LOSE AT FTC. LITERALLY ALL THAT MATTERS. And I haven't been a juror in forever, so that's pretty cool - there's a sense of contentment there, the "I coulda shoulda woulda" you know? Speaking of which...

Do you think anything could have been done to prevent your boot? Where do you think you went wrong? Do you have any regrets?

OK, there’s obviously a lot to say here. I think I made a few critical mistakes:

First off, I trusted Julia WAY too much. And I’m a bit irritated with myself about that, because the MAIN reason was because, around the time of the second tribe swap, we started talking more and I realized her alias. And, without getting into the specifics of that, it was someone who I had had implicit trust in the past with, and I (STUPIDLY) thought it’d be smart to carry that over into this game.

In the past they had my back 100%, and they were saying similar encouraging things this time around - so I figured she wouldn’t be willing to vote against me anytime soon. Of course, I ignored that the circumstances were vastly different this time around, not being as close allies or as early on, on top of her maybe not knowing my alias.

So, I figured it’d be easier for me to make a move because, at the end of the day, Julia would tip me off if my name was being seriously considered. And if she couldn’t convince the rest of her allies likewise, she wouldn’t vote for me. WELL, I WAS WRONG. And I can’t blame Julia for it, because while we did have an awesome relationship here, that level of game wasn’t really established.

So, to an extent I was banking on that. And I think my other crucial mistake was being too trusting. I think I was being fairly risky with my life in the game - Spencer offered a plan to blindside Kat, but I figured it would hurt my long-term chances to just pull a random blindside on someone we were trying to court. I ALSO assumed they wouldn’t defect away from Dana, who I had 100% on my side, and if they DID they would tell her, so we could shift the vote to Sydney (who idol’d, so fruitless) or something.

EVEN with all that, I don’t think I was anyone’s first choice for a target...except Caleb. And what Caleb gets, he wants, because he’s a petulant brat.

What it basically boils down to is I was thinking too long-term and being too loose with my safety. I trusted the wrong people, and while it could have been avoided, I only have myself to blame here. I was too unwilling to get blood on my hands for the sake of security.

Who do you think has the best chance at winning this game? Who will be joining you on the jury soon?

Winning the game...hmm. I think Kat’s in a good spot at the moment, because she’s likable enough but positionally she’s not on the top of anyone’s radar. I’m hesitant to vote for her in an FTC, because she was incredibly fake to me on her way out, but overall she’s played a decent game in most people's eyes. I’d say similar things about Julia or Eliza, on top of them not having the “coast underdog” thing working against them getting to the end.

I love Spencer, but he’s played way too aggressively to make it to the end outside of immunity wins - he’ll burn out somewhere in the 7-5 range, most likely, if not earlier. Marisa and James both have good shots of getting to the end, but while I personally adore them both (particularly Marisa, who was my finals partner since the beginning) I’m not sure if they have jury respect overall, even if they get there.

Dana would 100% win if she made it to the end. Issue is, barring an immunity streak, I’m REALLY not sure how she plans to get there. I’d love to vote for her if she was there - Marisa and Spencer are the only people I’d consider voting with her there, and there’s 0% chance her and Spencer are in the finals together. Caleb isn’t winning; Sydney COULD, but her wishy-washiness will either bite her on the road there or when it comes to votes.

I THINK there’s a decent chance a Sakai joins us next, because Ki showed their straightforward nature this vote, and with Caleb’s idol flushed now would be a perfect time to go for him - before he gains the #goatmomentum. Because, as little of a chance he has at winning in the end, he could do significant damage to EVERYONE’S games through his emotional nature. On that note...

You called Caleb a dragon on your way out. Care to explain this to everyone who does not have the ~Privilege~ of being able to view your confessionals?

Sure! Basically, a dragon is a goat that is fucking DANGEROUS. They are, at first glance, nice enough - maybe a bit kooky, but oh well, aren’t we all? But once the game starts to trickle in, they go BATSHIT INSANE. Anything you do to endanger a dragon is taken as a threat to its life, and their emotional volatility means everyone is in danger.

They will do ANYTHING to get their way, pissing off countless amounts of people. But the dragon doesn’t care about that - as far as they’re concerned, it's purely a numbers game, all about moving ahead to the next round. People liking you is not a necessity. And so quite often, the dragon will get into a decent spot at the beginning, leverage it for all its worth and burn ANY social equity they get as soon as they get it, and sit at the end with a goose egg of votes.

Ultimately, you are what you eat, and dragons eat goats. But the dragon can do a TON of damage because of their volatility and others hesitance to go against them - if let too far, their whims can basically decide the winner and fates of many players, since God knows it won’t be them. Caleb is our resident dragon, following the footsteps of the likes of Russell Hantz and Abi-Maria Gomes. What esteemed company.

Who are you rooting for? Against?

I’d love to see any of my Ki people or Dana in the end. And I’m sure one of them will find a way to slip there, and they’ll likely get my vote. If I had to powerank my vote, as it currently stands:

Tier 1:

Dana & Marisa: These are both people I just ADORED in the game. If they were both sitting there, it’d be so incredibly difficult to decide my vote. Like it would just be incredibly difficult for me personally, even if Dana would almost certainly win if she makes it.

Tier 2:

Spencer: I really like Spencer, he’s a good guy. And if he got to the end, I would give him serious consideration. But he played so transparently and sloppy that A. I don’t think he can get there and B. I’m not sure it’d be the type of game I’d respect. But if it DID get him there (which I really don’t think it will) maybe he knows something I don’t, and I’d definitely hear him out.

Tier 3:

James: I’m hesitant to vote for James because he doesn’t SEEM to have a ton of agency in the game, but he is the epitome of nice, which gets him points in my book. Like I vote social over strategic, but there is an ideal combination - which is why James is a bit of a question mark.

Julia: I’m a Julia fan, but the betrayal does sting a bit, and I’m not sure if she did enough with ME specifically to earn my vote. Like we talked a ton, but obviously I valued our relationship more - so she has to earn my vote. (If that makes any sense.) She also ghosted me RIGHT before results, which is no bueno in my book.

Eliza: I can’t blame Eliza for this vote, because it was her or me, but again looking at the personal connection I’m just not sure if I’d want to award it. Certainly willing to hear this group out as well.

Tier 4:

Sydney: I think both of these two they’re both most likely to get my vote against Caleb. MAYBE Eliza, but I’d have great pause against any other combination. I’m actually not SUPER mad at Sydney for this move, because she was never in my long-term plans. Kat wasn’t either, but I liked her more and was definitely more open to working with her over Syd. It’d be a tough call between her and Kat in a Final 3, but as it stands, at least Syd owns herself - what you see is what your gonna get. She doesn’t really have a mask, and while it may not be GREAT gameplay, part of me does respect that.

Kat: Kat’s betrayal stung a TON, because she was chatting with me right up until my exit, reassuring me, before dropping the bomb that, yeah, I’m gone. Which, y’know, good gameplay on her part, but I told her as much on my way out - it’s the one way ticket to burning my jury vote. Like, I can’t begrudge her TOO MUCH, since if I did figure it out I would have had a ticket out, but the way she handled it did rub me the wrong way a bit. She led both me and Dana on a TON, which is just really hard to reward for me.

Tier 5:

Chelsea: The best host, and the one I’m most likely to cast my joke vote for if for some reason we have a Final One.

Who would you never vote for?

Take a wild guess.

I think that I have treated everyone here with respect, however respect is earned. I am not perfect and even when I have been rude, I have apologized and tried to be the best person I can be. I feel like Jonny knows me from a previous game and he sounds bitter?

For the record, never played with him before. I'm new to the #CalebExperience. NOT THRILLED WITH THE WILD RIDE THO.
