I've held off on writing this for as long as possible, since I was really pissed for a while. I'm still quite mad, but I can now contain it enough to put together a coherent confessional while not totally sounding like a whiny, bitter, awful person (but there still might be some of that).

Last round, my main ally Reynold was voted out. Since there were three Coasters on the purple tribe, I was expecting the three of them to tolerate each other and get rid of Eliza or Caleb. From what I heard, however, Sydney decided that the "promise" she made to Eliza was more important than the bond we had as Coasters. This set me off for several reasons. First, she promised to ME that this vote was gonna go differently than when she voted out Butch, and I actually believed that she would follow through. Sydney had personal issues with Butch (she found him annoying), and that contributed to her voting him out. But she didn't have any problems with Reynold. In addition, the vote she created for him was very rude. I didn't want to come into this game being the self-righteous person because self-righteous people irritate me, but I now kinda feel like it's my duty to rise up and get rid of the types of people who would write this:



Reynold has no clue what he did to make her this mad at him, and I don't really know either. I've never had any issues with Reynold, nobody else had issues with him, and I don't think Sydney did either. She's just the kind of person who would write this for no apparent reason. I will admit that I have been using the image of this vote to coax people onto our side. I've been using it as an appeal to James (and eventually the other Kis) and a reminder to my own alliance, something like: "do you really want people like this to win? Do they deserve to get farther in the game than you?" And so far, it's been working. James definitely seems to be anti-Sakai right now, and I think all the other original Ki members will follow. The revolution is beginning.

Now back to my Sydney rant. I feel like she has no self-awareness. When she voted Reynold out, she said, "Well, I think you've seen how our vote went. Hope you aren't too mad". Hope you aren't too mad? In the past two rounds, you've voted out my two best friends and biggest allies in the game and you're expecting me to just be fine with it and not be mad about it? Are you kidding me? I've had to put up with these weird, random, sometimes abrasive comments for the past couple weeks and I have been nice to her. Some people (probably Reynold and Butch) have merely tolerated her and talked to her, but I have genuinely helped her out. I raised her reputation score when she was getting bummed about how a "mysterious hater" kept lowering it (I understand why they were doing that now lol). It annoys me that after all the time I spent talking to her, she repays me by voting out all my friends and then doesn't seem to recognize that I might actually care about that.

A merge is probably coming very soon. If us Coasters and the other original Ki members can stick around, we will have a very handy numbers advantage against Sakai, even if Sydney stays with them and Kat goes with her. Since Matty is leaving tonight (if all goes well), my alliance will have at least four strong members, as will the original Sakai alliance on the purple tribe. Julia and Jefra will probably join the Sakai alliance, but I think that we can bring the other original Ki members (Marisa, Spencer, JFP) over to our side and have at least a 7-6 advantage, which we can increase even further if I can convince Kat to follow the numbers and come back with us. I'm excited for the prospect of a merge, but I would like for the orange tribe to lose at least one challenge, because I think a Sakai member would be voted out if they went to tribal council.
