also i really desperately want Sakai to see a tribal because anything that happens there has massive implications for the rest of the game

this swap has absolutely, without a doubt, given me a new life in this game. i went from being the final potentially doomed member of a minority to someone in demand as an ally on my new tribe and it feels great.

for me, this phase of the game is all about positioning. i don't feel like anyone is chomping at the bit to be voting me out, and when the merge comes i want to have options. i can't rule anyone out as an option for an ally because this game is starting to open up. the people who have felt secure are going to get paranoid and want people to help them take out those they deem threatening, and the people who have felt on the outside will be wanting those same people to help them topple the kingpins.

the only two people i cannot see myself voting for are kat and jonny. kat has been my rock in this game, especially since losing sugar, and we share everything. i need her around because i can be positive she'll always be in my corner, and she has bonds with people like eliza and james that i haven't had good chances to chat with yet. jonny has been very upfront about wanting to work with me and consistently keeping me informed, and he's an indispensable person to have at merge.

of course, neither of them are on my tribe, and that leaves me with room to maneuver here. the tricky decision for me if we go to tribal is whether to vote for matty, who has still yet to respond to any message or initiate conversation whatsoever, or vote for gervase/brad with james. voting for matty would be my first choice, but if we see a second tribal, it could force my hand in voting james which i would very much like to avoid knowing kat and jonny both want him to stick around. i don't have to make that choice yet; i still really need to talk to james and see where his head is at because we haven't really had a solid chance to connect.

at this point, i feel like i do have some chance of making my way to the end. the stars need to align, and i need to play smart. it won't be easy, but i've fought my way this far and i'm certainly not going to stop fighting now.
