The Coast is no longer screwed! Going into this individual immunity challenge with the knowledge that we were gonna have to vote someone out made all of us Coasters really nervous. My epic failure in the challenge didn't really help. For those of you who didn't notice, I made my first (and hopefully last) massive noob mistake during that challenge. I 100% remember copying the text "Gervase climbs his ladder", but I apparently had not done that, and so I instead pasted the link to my alliance's list of everything Leaky Faucet Brad has told us since the swap. Fortunately, a ton of other people also completely messed this one up. I laughed out loud when I saw that eight people had fallen out of the challenge after just one minute.

Before the challenge results were announced, Butch, Reynold, and I put on our strategic hats, and I am proud to say that we have secured our safety in the game for the next few votes. It was surprisingly (and almost suspiciously) easy. All I had to do was start talking game to Brad and he basically begged to join the Coast alliance. We all think he's pretty sincere. Everything he's spilled about the Mountain tribal dynamics and alliances make sense, and none of us were gonna say no to someone who wanted to join our alliance. Shortly after that, we brought Jefra and Eliza in (with a little more effort). Brad has told us that they're a tight pair, so once we convinced Jefra, she told everything to Eliza and both of them got on board. Both of them are very useful allies to because we know that one of the two has a double vote. Despite Brad's fears that Eliza and Jefra might be tight with James, the eight of us made a plan to vote out James, who also has a double vote, at the following tribal council (which we thought was taking place tonight).

However, in a series of unfortunate events, Michele was forced to quit the game due to family-related circumstances. Reading over my confessional last round, my complaints about her not responding to any of our messages seem pretty crappy. I hope everything improves quickly for her and her family.

Aside from the obvious downside of Michele quitting the game, the fact that we're not going to tribal council gives the girls and Brad more time to consider our offer. Despite their acceptance of our alliance yesterday, they might talk it over and decide that they don't need to align with us anymore. Fortunately, although we'd ideally like to keep them in our alliance, we no longer need their votes. Even if two double votes are played against us, that's only five votes if at least one original Sakai member (probably Brad) votes with us. In a perfect world, all three of them would stay with us, giving the Coasters an in with the other original Sakai members in the likely event of another swap happening.

Butch has approached me with an idea to vote out Sydney in the next couple rounds with a view to turning our Coast-Sakai alliance into an Aso-Sakai alliance. I've started to become pretty tight with Sydney though, so I'm not sure how fond of that idea am. I definitely agree that we'll need to vote out one of our own people sooner rather than later to trim the alliance down a bit. A massive alliance isn't gonna get very far at all, and we need to start planning for the future to have a better shot further down the road.

On the other tribe, we all think Debbie is gonna get voted out tonight. Apparently, during the last vote, there was some paranoia from the majority group that one of the Coasters might have an idol (LOL), but that's probably gone now since nobody played one and Debbie looks set to be voted out. It's a shame because we all loved Debbie and things could've gone so much differently if she was over here. Hopefully a miracle will happen and someone else gets voted out.
