That was certainly an intense and SORTA confusing challenge to start the season off with. Did this challenge help much with tribe bonding? What do you think about the fast start to this season?
Hehe you're saying it was confusing too xD. I think it did help with tribe bonding a bit, but it obviously sucks to lose. I did love the fast start though because it was a very exhilarating rush, albeit stressful

Sash: How does it feel to be the losing chief and losing a potential opportunity to go to Ukiyo?
I was much more focused on having our tribe win than the trip to Ukiyo. I like this tribe a lot so I am sad to be here at Tribal with them.
Everyone: How does the fact that you have a target whose elimination would earn you bounty points affect your early decisions and votes?
It seems like its cool if your target falls into your plans but if it doesn't I don't think it's that big a deal. To go out of your way to target someone just for points seems silly, and could possible do more damage than good.

Butch & Debbie : You're tribe seemed to work together with the other Coastal Tribe, Ozato, and now you are both here at Tribal Council. Do you think the Mountain tribes worked together? How do you think the two sides are going to affect the dynamic of this game? |
It's pretty clear the other two tribes worked together, and going in, it seemed only logical that that's a strategy they would also implement. And now it sucks that we're both here because that means that, should I survive this TC, there are 9 other people in this game I know, and 12 that I have never talked to in my life, and that's a severe disadvantage if the other two tribes got along as great as our tribes did as we tackled this challenge together. But it's a long game, and this experience is a Butchathon, not a sprint. Tonight is just a small setback.

What do you need to do in order to survive a tribal council with only six people? Nervous at all?
For me, preparing for tribal council has actually been a lot easier with a small group of six. I think we've all been able to get to know everyone on the tribe better because there aren't that many of us. I feel like I've been on the same page with everyone I've talked to in terms of who we're voting for, but I am a bit nervous because I've heard about some last-minute scrambling going on. I'm hoping that people stick to the plan and not do anything that would damage the trust and bonds we've formed.
How does the fact that you have a target whose elimination would earn you bounty points affect your early decisions and votes?
Voting out my target isn't part of my plan right now. Like Sash said, trying to turn the vote on your target can easily do more harm than good.

It looks like I screwed the pooch by not being available for the challenge or to socialize on Sunday. Some bonds were definitely formed between the 4 people in the challenge. It looks like it would come down to me or Debbie tonight, with the consensus being me to go home.
It's shitty timing, but it is what it is.
All I can do is to pledge my loyalty if by some miracle I don't go home tonight.

I think it was obvious in a challenge where two tribes will win immunity to work with the group that you have actually conversed with. I think the two locals will kind of be like sub tribes in the sense of sticking together in a potential new tribe but it won't be as glue-like as the bonds I am making with these boys. So I would describe it as a demi-tribe.
How does the fact that you have a target whose elimination would earn you bounty points affect your early decisions and votes?
I think trust and moving forward in the game should be the biggest decision when deciding who to vote for, not how to get extra pirate points. There are other aspects of the game which can earn points that won't potentially screw up your game. Plenty other of chances to be a pirate.
