I've been able to talk to pretty much everyone in my faction, which is great. I have reasons to believe I'm in a fairly good spot right now. I arrived early and Julia offered me a spot on her girls' alliance with Eliza, a spot that I have no intentions of giving up. So here are my thoughts on the people in my tribe:

Eliza: She seems smart, and I think she's really on board with the alliance thing. I cemented her trust telling her she was my target but that I wasn't going to follow through with that, just as a show of good will. I see us going far.

Julia: Similarly, I feel tight with Julia. Despite her joyful nature, she's seemingly a Survivor ORG veteran, so I'll have to be careful with that, but I don't see that being an issue anytime soon.

Caleb: Caleb is a nice guy, and he loves Taylor Swift. We could bond over Taylor Swift. That'd be a strong alliance. He's of course at risk since he's not part of our alliance, but the other girls seem to think he could be easier to take with us than Brad, so he might just be the extra vote that we need.

Brad: Brad is enthusiastic and really wants to play. He seems to be a huge fan of the show and the Survivor subreddit, so it's going to be fun to talk to him about that. He could be a schemer, though, so I'll have to watch him.

Matty: He's the only one I haven't talked to, so I'll have to ask the others, but I think he's got a lot of catching up to do if he wants to survive the first vote. Being the last one to show up is never a good thing. He'll have to work hard for his spot on the tribe.

So that's a three girls alliance, and three men to choose from. A bit like prom, I guess, but one of them will go home alone. Sounds like it'll be Matty, but lots of things could change before that.

I've also exchanged a few words with people on Ki, especially with Spencer. He's a Brit so that's pretty nice, and we're probably going to spend a lot of time talking because of the time zone we're in. I'm worried that he might miss the alliance train on Ki, because it's always good to have a couple of contacts there. Hopefully he'll survive and our alliance will have an extra number for the future.

Michelle also seems very nice, really positive. Could also be a fantastic addition to the girls' alliance if we ever meet.

The others I've only exchanged a couple of words with, but they seem cool. Fairplay looks like he could be dangerous in the future, though, so we'll see about that.

And I think that's pretty much it so far. I think I'm in a great spot right now, maybe the best I can be. But you know how things go for people who are too confident, so I'll keep watching.
