Okay so I feel like I should be coming in here to scald some bitches with truth tea, but to be honest I have nothing to really be ANGRY about with you guys, so here goes. Admittedly, my vote was never in doubt until approximate the past 2 days and now I'm really wondering who I should vote for.

I have a couple questions so please keep them concise because frankly I'm not a fan of tl;dr. If your answers go over the length I ask or you even consider using a gif, you will lose my vote point blank.

Stan:

1) I'm actually really baffled by the fact that everyone, jury and f2 alike, are referring to you as an underdog. It makes no sense to me at all because you were in the power position way back on Lannister when I was on the outs, Idk wtf happened on Regina, and come the merge you had a giant 6 person alliance that saved your ass. Coming from someone who spent most of the game hanging by a thread, I think the notion of you as an underdog is misguided. Heavily targeted, sure. But underdog? No, not really. Try to justify in 3-4 sentences why you consider yourself this so-called underdog or if you're just spinning a nice tale for the jury.

2) Should I put away past grudges against you and vote for you? We spent the entire game on opposite sides of the fence, so why should I hop to your side now? 2 sentences max.

Ben:

Right after I was voted off, you were were my definite pick for a jury vote. However, since then, you've kind of been floundering around.

1) In particular, I think your decision to take Stan to the final 2 was just mind numbingly wrong. I'm not really not sure I can vote for someone who's that clueless as to the vibe of the jury. Try to justify this decision to me in 3-4 sentences.

2) Why should I vote for you when you spent the entire game spastically flipping and flopping in every possible direction. If Stan and I were on opposite sides of the fence, you were hopping over the fence so many times it broke under your weight. In 2 sentences explain why I should reward flipping.

Finally to both of you: Compare each juror to an animal or plant or some sort of living being. I love pics of cute animals so I'm hoping y'all will humor me and make me laugh with these cute animal comparisons.

Congrats on making the Final Two and good luck to both of you boys!

Hey Gabe. Thanks for even considering voting my way. I really appreciate that.

I see your point that I had the numbers, but I think I can be considered an underdog because you're right, I was heavily targeted throughout the game and I evaded every single target placed on me to make it right here and I had the most votes cast against me in this game even with 4 immunity wins. Just like you did, I had my set allies, and we targeted each other each round and we were both pretty much hanging on by a thread because the other person was so ready to snip that thread with massive ass shears. I was supposed to be fucked every single round because of all the guns and cannons pointed my way so I tried to work every single angle, including attempting to work with you three times. I did what I had to do to survive them all, and I think I could be considered the "underdog" compared to Ben, Luke, Josh and Grant who pretty much had so many relationships and options in place to make any move that they desired, whereas you and I didn't have those options.

It's about time, Gabe, and I'll leave it up to you. But I know Gabe and Gabe does what Gabe wants to do so regardless of where your vote may fall after all the shit we've been through, my opinion of you that you're actually a good guy will remain.

I was definitely not clueless to the fact that I would have gotten an easy win had I brought to the end of the game, but I got to the final three by being loyal to one person and I wasn't going to abandon that loyalty at the last moment so I could have it easy now. Knowing that bringing Stan to the end was never in doubt, I knew Stan's pitch to the jury would revolve around "defying the odds" and staying loyal to others (I am as skeptical as you about his underdog story). My choice to bring Stan to the end of the game counteracts Stan's loyalty pitch with tangible evidence on my end that I was able to play a prominent strategic game while also honoring my loyalty to one person from day one to the end of the game.

I knew from the beginning of the merge that I was not going to be in the nucleus of any majority alliance that would safely get me to the end of the game because of the connections made during the tribe portion of the game, meaning I had to focus on having a strong individual game rather than playing for the safety of multiple people in an alliance. The best way to remain in the game was to use the fact that there were clearly established lines in the sand and help each side at various points in the game when their best interest mirrored my best interest.

So I am a huge dog lover so I hope you'll enjoy my comparisons to dog breeds. Here we go!

Josh -
Spoiler+

Josh is a Yorkshire Terrier. Yorkies can vary in their temperament based on how they are raised. Some have a lovable personality that has a lot of spirit while others grow into a diva, requiring lots of attentions. Our Joshy was raised with both of these qualities. He had one of the biggest personalities in the game, always plucky. At the same time, we are all more than aware that Josh has a tendency to like the limelight and have the attention be on him. Yorkies soak up attention and don't like being left without companions, something you saw when he had friends or allies voted out of the game. They are also referred to as "mini shadows" by some for their tendency to follow their owners from room to room. Josh's game had him being a mini-shadow a lot of the time, being one of the better connected players in the game.

Gabe -
Spoiler+

I think that you are a Maltese. Malteses are small in stature but do not have fear. They're willing to go up against dogs of much greater size and play alongside them. That's something I respected you for throughout this game, always willing to speak the truth to whomever you were talking to, even if it went against what they wanted. They tend to be lively and playful, two personality traits that I think you showed in spades this game. The Maltese is a companion dog, meaning its cardinal personality trait is loyalty. You showed your loyalty on multiple occasions, with our conversation about you not flipping on Luke in a revote really encapsulating that you were a loyal player. The Maltese is the breed equivalent of an underdog. It's small size makes others skeptical of their ability, it's personality distracts others from the full potential they possess, and it's loyalty makes them a companion that they want to keep around for the long haul. If we want to be boasting about underdogs in this game, you would be the underdog. An underdog is a person that is put in a difficult or dire circumstance because of the actions of others. You were in the minority on Lannister due to the actions of Stan's alliance being in the majority, you were on the outs on Brymmdreng because of the alliance made between Phil/Annette/Luke/I, and you had no footing at the beginning of the merge because established alliances stemming from tribal relationships were made concrete almost as soon as merge occurred. Despite of all of that, you got fourth place, beating many of the people that stacked the deck against you. THAT is an underdog story.

Brian -
Spoiler+

Brian is a golden retriever. The golden retriever is arguably the most popular dog breed on the planet, and for good reason. Golden retrievers are loyal, playful, smart, well-mannered, and kind to everyone. Those are all qualities that Brian possessed in the game. He was loyal to a fault with those that worked with him, he had one of the best personalities in the game, has a great head on his shoulders and was aware of when he needed to look at alternative options, especially in the fallout of the Red Wedding, and never let things in the game affect the way he interacted with people, always being cheerful and respectful.

Grant -
Spoiler+

I see Grant being a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Cavies are often seen at as dainty and harmless when first looked at, and I think that echoes with the way people saw Grant. He was often discredited when he had a good handle of the game, open to working the right angles. It is a breed of dog that is equally content being active or laying indoors. Grant played a different game at different points. Some rounds he sat on the backburner, focusing on his social game and seeing the big picture of where the game was at that point. Other rounds he took a more active approach, notably at the final eight and final six, showing he has a good strategic acumen to survive. Cavies tend to be a bit eager and overzealous, something that reflects the end of Grant's game, being too eager to vote out Brian.

Sagar -
Spoiler+

Kuvasz havs its roots as a loyal watchdog. They have a tendency to quickly analyze other people to assess how threatening they are. I think Sagar had one of the better analytical minds in the game, always seeing what was best for his alliance. He was fiercely loyal and served as a great watchdog to his side of the game. They also have a ferocity to them when they need to go after enemies, which Sagar showed when he found out I was plotted to get him/Josh out at the final eight. While the Kuvasz had a calm demeanor while around friends, they show uncharacteristic anger when riled up, something I saw in the aftermath of my plan being exposed. Sagar always fought for the betterment of his alliance.

Luke -
Spoiler+

Luke would be a Border Collie. A scientific study showed that the Border Collie is the most intelligent dog in the world, being able to take in information in the quickest amount of time. This breed is a workaholic, which is a great way to describe Luke's game. He put his all into everything, whether it was socializing, strategizing, or competing in challenges. Bored Collies have a watchful eye that helps them complete every task put in front of them. Their instincts are extraordinary. Luke was always a step ahead of the rest of the game. He was connected to everyone in the game, he was well-regarded for the effort he put into the game, he knows the game of Survivor so well, and knew when things needed to change at the final nine to keep his game alive.

Tina -
Spoiler+

Much like Gabe, Tina reminds me of a small dog that can secretly pack a punch. Tina would be a Havanese. Havanese dogs are known for their energy, personality, and their aversion to feeling alone. Tina came into this game and, being honest, was not that threatened by her. She was very friendly but didn't strike me as threatening for whatever reason. We hit it off very well from the beginning of the game, and she surprised me with how much energy and jubilence she brought to every conversation. I started to see that Tina was a sound player when we came back together at merge. It was apparent that she felt more comfortable in the game because of the friends she made on Regina. She played a game where she had many strong friendships that made sure she wasn't alone in the game. Had it not been for the final nine switch, I would be surprised if she didn't make at least the final four, which is a testement to her strong social game.

Phil -
Spoiler+

Phil is, without a doubt, a boxer. Boxers look imposing from afar but when you get to know one, you learn that they are playful, loving, and loyal. With a high level of energy, a knack for cuddling up to anyone they can, they still also are protective of their family. I think that's a good way to describe Phil's game. He was seen as the biggest threat at the merge by the majority, due to his intelligence and ability to connect with others. He was so threatening but at the same time, when you connected with him individually, you could say nothing but good things about him. He took every opportunity to connect with others in the game while also keeping his loyalties the same throughout. Had it not been for his imposing outward appearance, he would've cuddle up his way through the game, for sure.

Annette -
Spoiler+

If I wasn't going with a dog theme, Annette would be a cat out of respect for her love of them. Looking at dogs, though, Annette would be a poodle. At first glance, when you look at a poodle, you think "fabulous!" That was my first impression of her, at least. When you start to analyze a poodle, you see that they are more than just pretty. They are a laidback breed that have a high level of intelligence, good sense of humor, and look to make friends. Annette has all of these qualities. She was very relaxed in her interactions with others, bringing a great sense of humor to conversations while also showing that she was a student of the game of Survivor. She had so many positive qualities that I wrote in the One World round that I thought she was the most threatening player in the game. She initiated conversations and left a positive lasting impression. She would have done great in this game had it not been for the Red Wedding.

Apologies for the delay in posting my answers. But this feels like the Power Rangers when Zordon gives the 5 Rangers their dinosaur representatives. LOL.

Annette - Marsha the Moose

Spoiler+

Annette is Marsha the Moose. 100%. Everyone loves Marsha. She's a goddess. But more importantly, the main reason why I compared you to Marsha is our Canadian Connection. I moved to the US three years ago and it's fun to take a stroll down memory lane and actually talk about my past years in college, the great things about Hamilton and the not so great things too. LOL. I found a Canadian friend from MY CITY which was YOUR CITY. I could've given you the beaver or the blue jay or whatever Canadian animal there is, but Marsha is just way too glam and way too appropriate. <3

Phil - Mufasa

Spoiler+

I would say Phil could be compared to Mufasa from the Lion King. Mufasa is a very likeable character and he had that responsibility to protect Pride Rock. He was chivalrous, charming and dominating, which all proved to be too big of a threat to keep in this game. Phil had all those qualities of a leader and he was definitely looked up to by the Baratheon 5. Unfortunately, Scar and the hyenas had other plans and we all looked like absolute villains doing so. See our combined reputations for further proof <3.

Tina - Mother Bear

Spoiler+

Tina is momma bear! She is a mother figure to me in this game and always had my back. She was always there to look after me and was always there when I needed someone to talk to. We formed such an awesome bond in this game and I love her to death. She has all the qualities of a mother bear. She is a single mom in real life and that is no joke. I don't think I can compare her to any other animal, but this caring, protective and kind hearted mother bear - always looking after her cubs.

Sagar - Air Bud

Spoiler+

Sagar is Air Bud - a loyal friend and buddy. I am so fortunate to get to know this kid and we've come an absolute long way from The Lannisters. We've gone through so much to get here and I'm happy to say that I got to know him really well and shared such a bond with him that will make us friends for a very long time after this game is over.

Grant - Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Spoiler+

Grant in my opinion was a wolf in sheep's clothing in this game. He came off as someone who was loyal to his alliance and whatnot but he secretly formed deals with Luke, Josh and Ben and formed relationships with the other side to keep himself in the game. He turned on Luke and turned on Brian when he had to and definitely put himself in a good position to win this game in a very subtle manner. He hid behind sheep's clothing and made his moves without being the biggest target until we all figured it out. His gameplay is one of the most underrated ones in this game.

Brian - Bald Eagle

Spoiler+

Captain America, I mean, Captain Chronicles. Brian is the paragon of fan favorite. He's a great guy and deserves every bit of it. I think I severely underestimated how lovable this kid is and he's such a stand up guy from the little time I've got to spend with him. First Colby, now a bald eagle. <3

Gabe - Asian Leopard Cat

Spoiler+

Gabe is an Asian leopard cat. A good friend of mine IRL actually has this as a pet. He's half Asian leopard and half domesticated cat 4 generations in. So he has the attitude of a leopard, like he pounces and he's fierce, but he's also really tame and meek and playful. I think having known you for a while and seeing both sides of GXV, this is a perfect comparison. The claws can definitely come out, but beneath the stripes, you're a legit person as we've definitely had a couple of solid talks in this game not necessarily about strategy but about life and shit. It was cool getting to know you in that light, even though we were on completely different sides and kept on targetting each other. And the animal is so fucking adorable. I tried playing with him an he dug his claws into me. LOL.

Josh - Pink Flamingo

Spoiler+

Josh is a flamingo. Because a flamingo is pink and does not give a flying fuck. LOL. I don't think I can think of a better comparison for Josh. And once you fuck with a flamingo, he'll fuck you right back up. Flamingos are eccentric creatures. Sometimes, I don't know why natural selection has positively selected for these birds, but I guess they're for show and their hot pink feathers provide entertainment in the animal kingdom. We just gotta put a fake blonde wig on the flamingo and it's 100% Josh.

I really enjoyed this. Thanks for the animal question, Gabe.
