Well shit Yeezus was overrated af thanks to the p4k crowd going nuts over anything that has any connection to Daft Punk, but it's still a good album. When people say "original" I think they're more referring to how Kanye evolves personally and doesn't get bogged down in previous successes. MBDTF is arguably the best album to come out since Clinton was president and Ye took a huge departure from that which takes balls artistically and commercially. Also holy shit Hate Me Now, I feel like I'm playing NBA2k14 right now.

I don't disagree about MBDTF (though it's not my FAVORITE album even in the last few years, I can understand a case being made for it), it's fantastic. I even appreciate 808 & Heartbreaks for all the shit it gets. I just get the impression that he thinks Yeezus is something that's never been done with his superiority complex. It was ballsy without a doubt, and he could have just put something mainstream sounding out, but again it's just the impression I get that he wants people to think it's a sound that hasn't been done before. Maybe that's just me.
