Come on in guys! Vytas voted out at the last Tribal Council.
Two new tribes formed just a few minutes ago. Let's take a look at them again:
Tribe A
Tribe B
Caryn
Immunity is back up for grabs.
Tonight's challenge is called...
Tonight, you'll be competing against the other tribe of six in a battle of wits. Here's how it works.
Above is your game board. Each tribe has three pieces, each with a unique ability. The goal of the challenge is to move your pieces around the board to avoid being trapped by walls placed down by your enemy tribe, while trying to use walls to trap the enemy yourself.
When it's your tribe's turn, you have several choices you can make. You have TWO actions per turn. You may choose to take only one action if you really feel like it.
- You may place a wall down. This is your main attack in the game. Take the game board, open it into paint or photoshop (whatever you have), and draw a line from the intersection of the squares. See the little squares in the middle of the gameboard? That's where you'll draw a line between. The line cannot go diagonally, it must connect two points up/down or side to side. It must be a full line, and thick enough so we can tell where you went. Please make the line black so it's bold enough. The outer wall is already one solid line, so no walls need to be added there.
The point of walls is that no pieces can travel through them. Once a piece is trapped in by four walls, it's eliminated and removed from the game board.
- Another action is to move a piece. To move a piece, cut around the piece and drag it to the spot you wish to move to. Pieces must move to adjacent spots, with special moves for the pieces being listed below. When you move a piece, it'll leave a big white ugly spot on the board behind you. You can use the color picker to fill it in if you like, but Brett and I will be updating the board every so often to keep it clean anyway.
You have two actions either turn, but you cannot place two walls down. That means you can either...
- Place a wall and move one piece
- Move one piece once and a different piece once
- Move one piece two times
Please make it clear what your two moves are. Also, post both moves with the same updated image instead of making two posts.
The elephant is the most basic piece. It moves slowly, just one space up, down, left, or right. However, ONE time during the challenge, the elephant can use its turn to smash through a wall and step onto the other side. It must be a wall adjacent to where it's standing. This can only be done once, and you must make it clear when you're doing it. This must also be done BEFORE your elephant is completely walled in by four walls. Once he's walled in completely, you've missed your chance and the elephant is eliminated.
The lion's unique ability is that it may move diagonally (just one space). Apart from that, it can move up,d own, left, or right like the elephant.
The rhino is able to charge in any direction, up, down, left, or right (not diagonally). It may move in a straight line as long as you'd like it to, up until it hits a wall (or short of one). This is like a rook in chess.
The zebra...is Caryn! Caryn will be participating in this challenge as much as she wants. When it's her turn, she can move once in any direction. No pieces can pass through her, which means she acts as a wall that moves essentially. If Caryn prefers to join one tribe over another, she can attempt to get in a tribe's way to make them lose (meaning she will join them at and after Tribal Council). This is entirely optional for her, and she can do however much or little as she wants. If Caryn is walled in, she is eliminated just like every other pieces.
When it's your tribe's turn, you have five minutes to post the game board with your moves on it. Both moves must be in the same image. You MUST have the image for your turn to count, you can't just post what you want your move to be, otherwise it'll take too long. Once you post your image, the other tribe (or Caryn) has exactly five minutes to make their move. Be sure you're always using the most up to date image of the game board. Also, do not edit or delete your moves if you change your mind.
The game will continue until all three pieces from a single tribe are trapped and eliminated from play. The tribe of six that works together the best and outsmarts their opponent will win Immunity and be safe from Tribal Council. The losers will head to Tribal, where there'll vote out the sixth member of this game.
If you have any questions, please ask in this thread so everyone can see the answer. Take a few minutes to carefully read the rules please!
We randomized the turn order. Tribe B will go first, followed by Tribe A, followed by Caryn. Your moves will all be posted in this thread.
Survivor's ready?
GO!

Tribe A begins by...moving the wrong piece!
Tribe B's elephant is still back in the old spot since Tribe A can't move their pieces. Caryn's up! | |
