Welcome to the first challenge of the season! As always, we'll be starting off with a Captain's Challenge. The players who do the best in this challenge will help form the tribes tomorrow night, more details on that later. Unlike every season before this, the Captain's Challenge will be non-live. Let's get to it!



All eighteen of you will be competing in this individually. Brett and I will be throwing sausages up in the air. It's your goal to spear as many sausages out of the air as you can. Here's how it works.

First, each of you will PM me a number. This will be your bet for the challenge. You'll be betting how many sausages you think you can spear within a five minute span. Your goal is to make and successfully complete the highest bet.

After sending me your bet, you'll make a thread in your confessional. You cannot make this thread ahead of time. Your first post will be this:



Your second post will add one:




And so on. It can be horizontal or vertical, doesn't matter.

A five minute span will be 8:00-8:04, anything from 8:05 on wouldn't count. (You don't have to start at the top of an hour though, whenever you want. But be sure you begin at the start of a new minute to utilize it fully). Once you start, you have those five minutes to continuously add one speared sausage at a time until you've reached your bid.

The players to bid the highest and successfully complete their bids in time will win. If you bid too high and don't complete your personal bid, you can't win. If you bid too low and complete it, someone might have bid more than you and completed theirs. You need to find the right balance.

If you edit, your timestamp must be within the five minute span.

An added twist!

When you PM me your bet, you must also PM me the name of any fellow player. Whoever you choose will be penalized in the challenge and will have one successfully speared sausage taken away from them at the end, potentially making a large different in who the Captains end up being.

The player you penalize will not be told it was you, nothing will be revealed. When making your bets, be sure to factor in that you may be getting some penalties your way!
