Tonight's challenge is called...

Posted Image

The seventeen of you have been living out in the open for several days now. You're exposed to the harsh elements of the Serengeti, including the dangerous wildlife that lurks just outside your camps. Tonight, you'll work as a team to create a safe camp to live in.

In your current tribe camps, you'll work together to plan, brainstorm, design, and create an image to represent your camp. Everyone who is participating should pitch in somehow. Come up with ideas, critique, work on the design, etc. Every tribe mate doesn't need to work on the actual image, but all of you must work together and offer input however you can!

There's one small catch. Supplies here are very limited. Instead of having whatever resources your imagination can come up with, you'll have to use only what's available.

Here are the items you can chose from. The number in parenthesis indicates how many times you may use that item.

- Bamboo pole (6)
- Bamboo pole (1)
- Flag
- Oar
- Jeep
- Watering hole
- Mud pit
- Suitcase
- Planks of wood (3)
- Planks of wood (7)
- Umbrella
- Shield
- Fishing rod
- Crate
- Bucket (2)
- Mud pit
- Rope
- Rope
- Animal skull
- Small mirror
- Lantern
- Fire wood (Cannot light without matches)
- Matches
- Rocks (9)
- Rocks (4)
- Thorn bush (10)
- Thorn bush (3)
- Bowls (8)
- Fishing net
- Fishing wire
- Shovel
- Flashlight
- Spears (6)
- Spears (2)
- Spear (2)
- Sandbags (10)
- Sandbags (5)
- Pots and Pans (3)
- Blankets (2)
- Tarp
- Water jug
- Pillows (2)
- Luxury Item (Your tribe can choose an item. It must be something plausible as far as luxury items go)
- Mangos (5 bunches)
- Bananas (4 bunches)

(Add your tribe mates in the image somewhere to make it more fun!)

This is where your representatives will come in. Once this thread is posted, someone from each tribe must post to claim an item from the list. Whoever picks first goes first, second goes second, etc. You must alternate choosing for the first few minutes. You each have five minutes maximum to make your pick. Brett and I won't be around much as this is posted, so you'll have to monitor this yourself. If someone doesn't make their pick, the next person may go. Each tribe will get an even amount of items.

Once they've picked all the items, you can begin building. You MUST use all the items that you've picked somehow.

As far as the images of each item go, you can make those yourselves or find them. Items have to be accurate though, or they won't count. You're free to use whatever background image you wish as a base, but remember, we're in the Serengeti.

Put your heads together and find ways to make the most out of all of your items. Working together and creativity are key in this challenge. And remember, you aren't making a shelter, the goal is to make a safe tribe camp surrounding your shelter. Think as a group to determine what might make a camp safer from the elements of the Serengeti. Do some research if needed! You may find or create a hut image to add to your final image if you wish, no items are necessary to build the shelter.

Your total score, as judged by us and some of the PW's, will be determined with the following criteria:

- Effectiveness: Could this function as a practical, safe tribe camp? Is it well thought out? (10 points)

- Neatness: Is it put together well? Or is it messy? (10 points)

- Creativity/Use of items: How creative you guys are! Is your design smart and interesting or is it something the world's most boring three year old could come up with? (10 points)

- Teamwork: More points if you guys all work together on this, less if someone does it all for you. Not everyone is a master at photoshop, but if you contribute creative ideas you'll get a higher score. (10 points)

- Instructions. Did you follow all the rules? Did you use an item too many times? (10 points)

Y'mra S'bor and Marehemu will each sit one person out. Please state in this thread who that will be ASAP. This person cannot help in any way.

The two tribes with the highest average scores will win Immunity and be safe from Tribal Council. The losing tribe will be heading to Tribal, where they'll vote the second person out of this game.

We're gonna give you the weekend for this. You've got 48 hours to post a final product in your camps. Work together and have fun with it!

Survivor's ready?

GO!

Posting early so you all get a chance to read it over and pick representatives. You may post who your reps will be, but do not begin picking items until 9:00EST!
