And so it begins...

Wow I don't even know where to begin with this. You got me with that twist, I was not expecting that. I went from cloud nine, being the first one picked by Rob, who was the one returnee I actually wanted to be on a tribe with...to finding out that I'm with all the returnees and two newbies who I had only talked to for a bit. It could've been worse, there are still some people I haven't even added on AIM yet. But man...this is gonna be interesting. Like, what a way to start my first ORG - on a tribe with three of the best players in this series. I was really hoping to be on a tribe with Sierra, because we really bonded last night, we talked for hours. She's by far my favorite person here, she's someone I'll definitely keep in touch with after this is over. And Monica as well I've really gotten along with. I think Garrett is going to be the first boot of his tribe, he's really rubbing people the wrong way.

But anyway, I guess I'll go through my tribe and give my first impressions.


Out of the returnees, he's by far my favorite. He just seems more genuine than Kim and Rory. I've been talking to him a bit, and it seems we both want to work together. It is hard to get a read on him though. But I think the fact that he picked me first is a good sign. He seems like someone I can trust.


We're fucking Boston!


Caryn is someone I talked to only a small amount. And it was only small talk, I don't really know anything about her. She does seem very nice. I don't really have much to say about her. We briefly mentioned sticking together because we're newbies. I don't want this to be newbies vs. veterans though, at least not in the beginning. It's still early though.


Kelley is, again, someone I talked to only a small amount before being assigned tribes. We got along well though and we bonded over the fact that we're both relatively new to ORGs. For some reason, since we were the first two picked, we were talking again, saying we should keep in touch to work together down the line. So when we immediately found out we were on the same tribe, it was kinda like okay well I guess we're working together now. We kind of click well I think and we agreed that we should be a solid two-person alliance so that if shit goes down, we can Denise and Malcolm our way out of it. She might be thinking of voting me out immediately for all I know, but right now I feel my best move is to trust her.


Ahhh, Kim. I like Kim. I do. She seems nice. But I really don't think she's playing her cards right right now. It only takes a very short amount of sleuthing through past seasons to find out that Kim has a huuuuge reputation. She's a hardcore social gamer. And so every time she messages me, I can't help but think that it's not genuine. Either way I don't think I'll ever trust her that much.


Rory...his whole character thing is already starting to get a little annoying. On top of that he hasn't really been active much. I've talked to him the least out of my tribe. Kim and I already talked about him potentially being the first boot if we have to go to tribal.

The first boot is going to be very, very interesting if we have to go to tribal. There's a couple different factors at play here. First there's veterans vs. newbies. Kelley said that it seemed like the veterans aren't crazy about each other, so they're kinda trying to woo us to join each of their sides. I'm concerned that the vets will want a newbie gone first and we will want a vet gone first though. Because that gives one side an advantage over the other.

There's also the fact that we were each picked by one of the vets. So now I'm associated with Boston Rob, Kelley's assoicated with Kim, and Caryn's associated with Rory. I think ideally for me right now, I'll join an alliance with Rob, Kelley, and Kim. With six people on a tribe, paranoia is going to be running rampant, so it'll definitely be interesting to see what happens.

I'm pretty sure Rob thinks I'm literally Natalie Tenerelli. I'm kissing his ass and it's pretty hilarious for me. And I'm cautiously optimistic that Kim thinks she has me in her back pocket. Kim is basically a wolf in wolf's clothing. She's putting on a disguise, but it's not doing anything. She's trying to make herself seem less threatening by always being really friendly and really interested in everything I say. But I think that's just showing people how much of a gamer she is. I do think she's genuinely worried about being targeted though, so I kinda feel bad for her.

In other news I have not talked strategy with anyone besides Kelley and even with her it was only for a bit. I'm only slightly concerned about that. I'm kinda just waiting, I don't want to be the person that comes out the gate way too strong. If I'm really nice to people and talking with everyone, the hope is that eventually people will come to me. It's a little risky, but I think it really pays off down the line. That's what Jon and Jaclyn did on SJDS. It got them in trouble in the beginning, but they were swing votes for the rest of the season. But this isn't real Survivor, so I'm not sure how this strategy is going to work. If I feel like I need to be more proactive I definitely will. But for now I'm going to wait.

In even more news, I think I'll try to do a video confessional tomorrow if I feel like I have anything remotely interesting to say.
