Welcome to...
Sausage Island 8: Morocco!
After the crash of the H.M.S. Salsus, we've somehow found ourselves in Morocco. Don't ask us how! We'll be making the most out of our new environment with some Moroccan themed challenges and images throughout the season.
Our game will begin shortly, starting with all twenty-two of you competing in the Captain's Challenge. Shortly after the challenge ends, you'll have your tribes.
Before that begins, there are slight changes to the rules this season that I'll take a second to go over.
Purple Rocks
For the first time, Sausage Island will be using the show's purple rock feature to break ties at Tribal Council. We will be doing this in place of our usual tie breaker challenge. Will purple rocks effect your gameplay or end up coming into play? We shall see. For more information on this, see the rules thread.
Strict Alias
We've gone over this enough times by now. All of you created your alias screen names and are doing a great job of abiding by this rule. It's already making the game fun and exciting in various ways.
No Screenshots
Just a small new rule added that I thought I'd point out. Screenshots of any kind are no longer allowed. See the rules for more info!
THAT ASIDE, here's a bit of information on the first twist of the game. It's called...
Sausage Links will be a new feature that will play a major role throughout this season. It was briefly hinted at in your treemail last night.
What Sausage Links specifically is will be explained soon enough. Just know that it will have a significant impact on your personal game and on the season as a whole. Stay tuned!
Hidden Immunity Idols
There will be Hidden Immunity Idols in this game. Here's how the format will work:
In each tribe camp after tomorrow night, you will find a map of your camp and the surrounding jungle. The map will be split up into a grid. Each of you will have an icon located on the grid to represent where in camp you are standing.
Every round, following an Immunity Challenge's results, every player in the game may choose to venture further into the jungle. You will do this by announcing where you wish to move on the grid. The tribe that wins Immunity will also win Reward, which comes in the form of extra energy from food which allows you to move more spaces per round.
Each tribe's camp has a Hidden Immunity Idol located somewhere within it. When you discover the space that has an Idol, you will collect it and be informed that you found it. There may be opportunities to earn or find clues that will help you narrow down where on the map to look, but beware, you can be followed. If a tribe swap comes, your progress at your old camp will be lost, so be quick about it!
The rules to this will be made more clear within your camps soon enough.
That's all for now! More will be thrown at you soon enough. The live Captain's Challenge begins at 8:30. Keep an eye out for it in Challenge Beach. In the meantime, keep up the great activity and confessionals!
