Hi Julie! It's a pleasure to share my confessional with you today. As we get ready to depart, I've been told we're heading to the Sausage Island located off the coast of Morocco. How exotic! I'm not used to BB doing travel editions, but I have to imagine that the house there will be nothing short of spectacular. My strategy going into the house is going to be to lay low and to form a tight alliance of all dudes that I know I can trust. The plan is almost too easy, each week one of us will win HoH or throw it to someone that we have a secret alliance with on the side. That way, we'll be in power the whole season! I can't wait to roll over these fools! See ya all at Sausage Island!

So I've been informed by production that this isn't Big Brother All Stars. I'm apparently on Survivor. Oops, this is awkward. I guess I better change my plans. I've also been informed that our first challenge of the season is tonight! I won't be there initially, but I'm totally ok with that because I don't want to be that strong out of the gate. I wonder how it's all going to play out. Yul and I talked for a bit today about our predictions. He thinks that it'll be an individual competition and that the two-ish winners will get to select tribes and that some people might get left out. I have to imagine that's a solid prediction. Whatever happens, I'm ready for the adventure!

The first challenge is under way and it's a good ole' fashioned sausage toss! I wasn't around and so I was out pretty early, but I'm very much ok with that. Competing hard in this first competition seems extremely short-sighted. Sure you might get to pick your tribe or get an HII, but those things aren't going to help you when you're in the Final 5 and people wanna boot you because they remember how good at endurance you are.

Time for some easy sausage jokes that have come up in my convos:

In what seemed more like a BB HoH competition than an immunity challenge, we were tasked with tossing around our sausage. Purple Kelly and (not surprisingly) Charlie arose as the best sausage handlers and they are the Captains this season!



When I saw the two Captains, I thought for sure that I was joining Purple Kelly's team. Her and I talked some yesterday and I had initiated a fun flirt-mance. Charlie, meanwhile, eliminated me from the challenge and we had hardly spoken. My game with the ladies must suck, because I'm with Charlie =/ Actually, no, it's not a =/ because I do like my tribe quite a bit.



I'm not with Purple Kelly, but I am with some of my other early-game favorites. I have Eddie, my bromance; Dan, the creepy uncle who touches you way too often during family get-togethers; and Debbie, my mom. The others I'm going to have to work harder to get to know, but I said my strategy was to keep my options open, so I'm not going to discredit anyone just yet.

Julie, I must confess, this has been a very stressful 48 hours in my life! I was elated to find out I was getting a final interview for a job I really wanted only to be horrified this morning when a flat tire ruined my chances of making the appointment. Thankfully all is well once again in my world and I can focus on the newest pieces of news!



It's a sausage link round! As someone who's crossed reality shows, I feel comfortable dabbling in MTV's The List and taking on this twist. In round 1 it doesn't have me too concerned. The most social and active players in the tribe, people like Charlie, Eddie, Dan, Debbie, Abi, etc, like me, and there are certainly a couple questionable people that I think I rank ahead of in the group. The person starting the chain will be the winner of our first challenge...



I have NO INTEREST in winning this thing, but it's a fun challenge. Maybe this thing is going to be more like BB than I thought. The best thing I can do, I think, is to come in in the middle of the pack. I need a Brad Culpepper in this group, someone who really craves power and doesn't mind putting a huge target on their back for when we switch/merge. I don't crave power, I crave whiskey.

In what was an insane display of dedication, Abi won the challenge! That really came out of nowhere to me, I underestimated those bronchitis infected lungs of hers. Even after she won, I figure "oh ok, I'll be fine... mid to late pick for sure." While enjoying my night out, I had Charlie update me on the picks. They went as follows:










Wait... Crystal's safe? CRYSTAL??? Damn, ok, Eddie, myself, and Angie are up. I'm actually not totally shocked that I'm nominated, but Eddie being up with me was what had me floored. He shouldn't be here. Of course it sucks being nominated, but I'm being reassured by everyone in the tribe that I wouldn't be here if the picks weren't done via bootlist. A majority of the group has said that I will be safe, but one has to nervously ask, if I were that comfortable with my position in the tribe... then why am I here in the first place? It is confusing, being here, because I really didn't feel like I did anything wrong.
