I don't care how confident you think you are about the results of a vote, when you see your name written down on a parchment you shit yourself a little bit.

Angie went home in a unanimous vote. She was pretty terrible at survivor, but I would have much rather had her stay over Crystal. Angie was making alliances all over the place, but she was relatively harmless because no one was listening to her. I think there are much more influential and dangerous players in this game. I know that I'm most well known for my baseball skills, but I have another hobby that I enjoy as well.



Yul and I bonded today over a game called Hearthstone. I play a lot, and I don't usually have anyone to talk with about the game. We spent a long time today talking about strategies and who our favorite characters were. In no way was this a strategic conversation, but you better damn believe that it was important. At some point we're going to swap tribes, and I need other allies than just my Dadès group.

It's no secret that this goofball has been my tightest alliance here in the early going. We went on the block together last round and survived! Eddie suggested last round that being nominated, Julie, might actually turn out to be a good thing because people might find us more vulnerable and trustworthy.

All of these people had talks with me in various ways yesterday about working together. Like Eddie said, it is round 2, and people just want to feel secure in the group.

The one that really surprised me in all of this was Jonathan. He and I really haven't had a whole lot of contact here in the early going. While the others all seem to kinda fit together naturally, he's someone I hadn't yet considered as a potential ally. That being said, if someone comes to me saying they wanna work with me, I sure as hell am not going to say no. Eddie and I seem to be in a really good position as long as these people here continue to trust us.

This round's immunity challenge started out pretty rough for Dades. On the first night of the challenge, pretty much only J'tia and I were doing any significant rock tossing. Jonathan did his part for awhile, but Debbie, Abi, and Peter didn't participate a whole lot. This really got J'tia fuming... she was really annoyed at these lackluster performances. Apparently Abi and Peter only like tossing coins, not rawks or sausages.

Sidenote: I want as many challenges in the future to involve sausages. It's a lot harder to make rock jokes... and I already used this image once...



I didn't have high hopes for part two, admittedly, because of our deficit. However, it was our strategy to put 3 strong players on part two. In what turned out to be a close race, WE WON IMMUNITY! Wow, what a great comeback. #Fistpump

Obviously Crystal would have gone home if we lost, but winning this challenge keeps us competitive in the numbers game. I hope the other tribe has a really divisive Tribal Council. I wonder who will go home?
