For the most part, I was pleased with my performance in the Captain's Challenge. I made a pact with Purple Kelly right away that we wouldn't give the sausage to each other. She's one of my closest allies out here, I would say. She is a super nice lady, and I would love to work with her in the future. My challenge prowess was taken out by the face I was using a smart-phone to compete, but I thought I held my own for a while. I still don't understand why everyone gave it to me forever :'(

Thank goodness Kelly won the challenge! It was absolutely AWESOME, because I knew she would pick me for her team. The Sebou tribe was clearly the stronger of the two tribes, in my opinion. We had myself, Purple Kelly, Bill, Ken, Jean-Robert, and Marisa did fairly decent in the challenge as well. I thought we were going to be ahead of the game for sure.

Upon hearing the twist, I realized how difficult this game was going to be. However, the twist is so cool and it's going to be amazing to play through it and see how it affects everything.

Early on in this game, my first idea is to create a core alliance. Working with people I like, I created a core alliance called The Purple Parrots - consisting of Kelly, Ken, Bill, and myself. We all agreed that the four of us were strong in challenges, as well as really nice individuals. I'm really excited to move forward in this game with them. At the same time, Kelly and I have solidified our friendship and alliance and I could see myself finishing the game out with her.

Russell is being really ridiculous right now. He definitely sealed his fate. Having talked to Marisa, I guaranteed I wouldn't vote for her as we were both underedited, underrated goddesses. However, Russell began to brag about his challenge prowess to all of us. We didn't really agree to that because we hadn't seen what he could do yet. This was particularly annoying when he attacked Marisa for being the worst at challenges when she clearly did the best of the nominees at the Captain's Challenge. He went on to contradict himself when he said Katie was the worst at challenges. I think he definitely sealed his fate tonight, and anyone who didn't vote him out will definitely have a target on their back. Watch out Nay, shouldn't have been fighting for the snake.

First and foremost - Russell going was fabulous! Not only for my game, because he hadn't spoken to me and wanted to boot one of my best friends Marisa, but because he was just a tumor to our tribe as a whole. This was obvious on his way out, let's be honest. I think Russell was just bad news for our tribe and I was really glad we could boot him before he did too much damage. I mean, it's RUSSELL of all people. There was something shady about him.

Going into the Immunity Challenge, I thought Sebou had a really good shot, I mean - look at us. We stepped it up big time in the throwing department and definitely bombed Dadès out of the water in that respect. I'm not entirely sure what happened in the puzzle, but it definitely sucked to lose by just a few seconds. Marisa did a really awesome job and I applaud her for that. On the other hand, losing is terrible because we have to vote someone out.

Knowing we have to vote someone out sucks, especially when Kelly tells me that my name has been thrown around. Her and Marisa both told me that they'd heard my name come up but they tried to shift the focus away from me. Not entirely sure why I'm even being targeted - I thought I did well in the challenge and have been active around camp. Regardless, most of the people assured me that I'd be safe as long as I voted Katie.

Let's be honest - getting votes es no bueno. Not fun at all. It's really nerve-wrecking and last week was absolutely terrible for me. I thought I'd been pulling my weight in all the challenges and bringing it week after week. Sometimes people just don't like you, for whatever reason it is. And that sucks. But I know the two people that voted with Katie against me, so there's that. NaOnka & Betsy better be watching their back, let's be real. The Mauve Squad is still f'real and we gonn' demolish them. If we lose, I reckon one of them will be goin' this time around.

The Purple Parrots changed their name to the Mauve Squad by the way because it sounds cooler and let's be honest - it sounds like the Mob Squad. We've officially agreed that we need to stick together the four of us, with Marisa as a fifth vote so we always have the majority. This definitely helped last week when Nay/Betsy were pushing me to go & Marisa promised not to vote me.

So this round sucked for me. I was so proud of my performance in the first challenge, and was like "Yeah! I got this, Nay will probably be going." Obviously I want Nay out, and Nay wants me out. Well Nay was left off. Too bad this swap occurred and jumbled up the whole game. I definitely had to go into scramble-mode. The Mauve Squad now makes up 4/6 of our tribe, which means we have a clear majority - but it still sucks because I really like Marisa & Yul as well. Because Marisa is immune, the Mauve Squad pretty much made the only decision we could.

My bond with Kelly is still strong and I plan on going far with her. Ken & I are also becoming really close, while I feel Bill drifting away from us as a whole. Marisa is a really strong competitor, so talking with her definitely makes me feel safe in this game as long as we continue working together.
