Behind each of you is a torch, grab a torch and dip it into the fire. Fire represents life in this game. Once your fire is out, so are you. Let's get to some questions! Answer the questions in this thread please.
Questions
Angie: What do you base a first vote like this off of?
Chet: What's it like being the Captain of the tribe? Do you feel any added pressure? Are you happy with the people you chose?
Gillian: What's life like at camp Saptano right now? Are you getting along with everyone?
John: Do you feel confident that this tribe can bounce back and win a challenge? Was there anything more you could've done to win tonight?
Laura: With The Brig twist, anyone can leave or enter your tribe any round. Does this effect your strategy or the way you vote in anyway? Are you worried about the idea that someone could flee this tribe?
Nick: You entered the game just a bit later than others. Does this concern you?
PG: Were the challenge results revealing in any way? Does it worry you about the future of this tribe?

It could be anything. Doubtful it's performance, we all helped out in one way or another at the challenge. We're all on AIM a lot, so really, I have no idea how to base a vote like this. |

Lex, being 100% honest with you, right now this Brig twist doesn't worries me at all. This tribe is pretty strong, none of us deserve to be the first boot, but we need to send someone home, but in the end, we need to stay together, everybody here knows how hard we worked to win this challenge. So yeah, I think this tribe needs and will stay together so we can show then who Saptano really is. | |

Being a captain and having the opportunity to select a tribe was a great honor. I hope everyone likes the color and name I went with! It's a shame I ended up picking the player who decided to quit, but we're all happy to have Nick on board. I think the tribe is aware of the extra pressure I felt from having been the captain and person who put this group together. I made it particularly known when I sort of freaked out a little when I missed a post, I believe it was at the 1am mark. It's also one of the reasons why I stayed up so late, and then woke up a few times to get some extra posts in.
I'm very happy with the people I selected and I think we did a great job tonight in the challenge. We finished with a score of 78, and the other two tribes averaged 76.5, meaning on the posting side of things we finished no worse than second. You could argue that maybe the other tribes didn't fight as hard through the 24 hours if they planned to gang up on us all along, but that's looking too far into things right now. Everyone worked very well together and seems to be getting along, which makes tonight that much more difficult. | | |

Of course anyone could say they both just happened to pick our tribe, but we should definitely be cautious and look out for the other two tribes. Whether or not it was intentional, I think it's telling they either think we were threatening or it could mean they're working together. If they are, it's probably best that they don't think we think they are, soooo while YES, it does worry me about the future of this tribe, NO I won't let it hinder our chances. We're still here and we are gonna try our best! | | |

Of course. There wasn't anything we could do to win tonight, either by shit luck or the other tribes made a deal to send us to tribal council. I think we still held our own during the challenge and now we have more incentive to want to win the next one. | | |

The camp is great. I managed to get a fire going with a bit of the droppings of some small animal. Maybe a boar or something. What's left of the extra todd is burning surprisingly well too.
I think we are all getting along. Having some laughs and working together. As chet says we beat the average at attacking the other team and I think that shows cooperation and trust. Which just makes it that much harder to be here right now. | | |

It did concern me at first, because no one wants to be the new kid in town. But, everyone was extremely welcoming and I feel right at home here, so I hope that me being a replacement doesn't affect anything :) | |
