Tribal Council #9 - Shęngli

Questions:

Hunter: You, Lillian, and Rachel have only gone to one Tribal Council, five rounds ago. Has a certain amount of complacency set in during that time?

Jeremiah: What was your first impression of this new tribe? Are you glad you landed here?

Lillian: Same question as Hunter - do you see a downside to constantly being on a winning tribe?

Natalie: You've gone on a nice little winning streak since leaving the cursed Lóng tribe. How has that felt? Did you enjoy the break from Tribal Council?

Rachel: What's the vibe like on this tribe? How difficult is your vote tonight?

Rita: How big of a factor are Idols at this point? Is there much paranoia surrounding them?

Be sure to vote in the Voting History thread provided to you in your confessionals. You have 24 hours to do so. Any vote after 24 hours will not count, and if all the votes are in, we reserve the right to post results early. Be sure to leave a bootlist to prevent self voting. Also make sure you answer these questions and have some confessionals for this round!

I don't want to speak for Lil or Rachel for me absolUTELY. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about being safe for so long. I actually got really lucky to be on a tribe like nuAnaira who kept winning while I was away and not at 100%. But after so many rounds of not going to tribal, there isn't much game talk happening and I'm not on my toes, so the game was just kind of sliding by. I'm assuming tonight (and probably every round after) is going to make that complacency go away.

I 100% agree with Hunter, we are at a disadvantage because so far we have had it so easy, we haven't had to strategize once because Trish was such dead weight. Everyone else has been playing the game, we have not only never had to test loyalties but we haven't even like played the game really, we have won challenges sure but is that really playing challenges? I don't think so, like it's kinda exciting to FINALLY get to play, but it's also really scary cause we haven't played.

They are a huge factor, we all heard what happened to Joe. That is the power of an idol, you could get sent out of the game on 1 vote. There is definitely a lot of paranoia as to where they could be, its not like a normal game where 1 idol was on Long, Mushu, and Anaira. They could have all been on the same tribe or even its possible only 1 was found and the other 2 were never discovered. It's a big mystery in the game right now and whenever there is mystery, there will be paranoia.

Jeremiah: What was your first impression of this new tribe? Are you glad you landed here?

When I first saw the swap results, I had a mix of fear and excitement. The entire tribe, besides me, was made up of NuAnaira members. So at first glance, it would appear that I would be the easy first boot due to a lack of prior relationships with this group. Getting to meet new people is always fun for me though, so I was excited to chat with all of them, and ultimately, I think we have had a great few rounds together. We pulled together in the last two rounds with some pretty awesome challenge wins, and I genuinely enjoy everyone on this tribe. Overall, yes, I'm glad that I landed here, and I'm hopeful that they are glad I landed here too.

I’d say it’s pretty quiet right now or perhaps it’s because I just woke up now and I’m feeling a bit tired from this challenge but yeah hard to say not much has been happening.

As far as the vote, it is going to be difficult because we’ve all gotten aLóng well, and we don’t really have an påpãyä or some easy boot and that will make things more difficult tonight.

[Natalie: You've gone on a nice little winning streak since leaving the cursed Lóng tribe. How has that felt? Did you enjoy the break from Tribal Council?

It was amazing. Lóng was such a mess and having to cope with the constant pressure and stress was awful. But I think the winning streak goes to show that I'm a valuable member of the tribe, and there's merit in keeping me around! I'm keen to win more challenges and have more fun with this awesome tribe :)
