So, this came out of nowhere!

Initially I didn't expect there to be a tribe swap this season just due to the unique randomized boards respective to each dragon group. Of course, now I'm sitting here with egg on my face and my zen totally broken. Tribe swap? Not chill dudes.

Instead of dealing with the negatives, I'm choosing to look at the positives of the situation. There are a good number of people I connected with pregame -- Alina, Jaison, Hope, Natalie -- who I now have the opportunity to reconnect with and get to know better. If I were to swap onto a new tribe the two in particular that I'd be REALLY interested to be reunited with are Jaison and Hope. From what I recall, I was able to have very natural conversation with them with little effort. Alina and I kinda got stuck into a continuous loop of generic showmance, and Natalie was just a tad bit more work. Jaison is on Long, so he'd have some ties to Long. Hope is on Mushu and she'd have some ties to Mushu. If this game doesn't boil down to Mushu pride vs Anaira pride with Lóng absolving and picking sides, having people like Hope and Jaison on my side are important to my success. It gives me the opportunity to expand my network and build up my social status in the game. Joe's the life of tha' par-tayyyy, and we're still on the sunny side of the game. The thunder storm that will be merge is ways away. Let's soak up the sun while we can dudes.

The downsides is I love my tribe. Nor my tribe or Mushu have had to make a difficult boot. There's not a lot dissension which could ultimately wind up in old tribe lines vs old tribe lines. That or someone's going to flip and betray their old tribe. Dealing with that paranoia is going to be fantastic, especially because I'm not going to be the one paranoid and cooler heads more often than not prevail.

The huge downside is the potential to say goodbye to Ken, Liz, or Neal. This game is temporary and I hope that after the game I'm going to be really good friends with the three of them. I have had such a great time getting to know all three of them and even though I may not know who they are, what they've shown me and how we've bonded makes them my friends. To quote the Spice Girls, "Friendship never ends." Sometimes you gotta move on from something good to achieve something better, so if this happens I'll embrace the opportunity.

The OTHER potential huge downside is my work schedule lining up with the game. On my current tribe, I feel my social status is good enough to be able to sit out of a live challenge. On a new tribe, it really boils down to luck. This isn't something I can control...

Except if I win the extra helping.

I'm not sure if I want to win this, because I really don't know what guidelines are going to be set to create a new tribe. I'd be much more comfortable with someone like Neal, Liz, or Ken winning this. I feel like they'd create a tribe that would allow me to maintain good social status so that I can feel a little more reassured if I miss a live challenge, or request to sit out of one.

I genuinely think Neal is going to have a good shot at winning this if he wins, but the only way I can assure the tribe breakdown is if I win. There's so many ways this could go. I could create a huge target for myself and my allies, I could pick wrong and screw myself over by trusting someone I shouldn't have, I could break some hearts -- but I already do that last one. I think I'm going to give it a good try, because as many things that could go wrong, there's many things that could go right as well. I'd rather my fate fall into my hands than in someone else's who I don't know.

Finally, I'm guessing dragons are going to remain the same despite the tribe swap. I'm kind of glad Caleb went, because if three dragons wind up on the same tribe, it definitely makes them more of a target -- they have more chances at finding an idol, and they have two allies already in a 6 person majority. So not having all of my dragons can make me less of a target It could work either way, but again I'm just choosing to focus on the scenario that is most positive for mee.

Finally

lol so dramatic.

tl;dr there's a lot of possible ways this could go and like everything else in life, the future is a mystery so let's take it minute by minute and see where this ride takes us. whoa dude that's profound and belongs on a tumblr post in white text atop a sunset background.

This challenge is really difficult. It's damn near impossible to cross out numbers to keep track and post at the same time. My strategy is to just go through a 5 minute trial and get as many as possible in order, and then go through and get the rest. This is the most efficient way for me as I'm down to a select few after five minutes. The downside is you add a bit of time to keep track of five minutes of progress. When you miss a post it's the end of the freaking world because you have to wait another minute to attempt it again. I've gotten 11 and 14 minutes in this challenge. I'm going to compare with Neal and if it's on par I'll go for the big attempt. I don't think I'm gonna win this challenge, but I can't think of a better strategy other than taking it slow and steady as spamming two per minute and then keeping track does knock out some faster, but lag spikes are inevitable and will throw you for a fucking loop. I get flustered when I lose my place and I wind up with more harm done than good so I'm gonna go with the tortoise method and hope it beats the hare.

I went to last season and saw they had the same challenge, and saw that my boy Rod did it in less than three minutes. I also saw that they were allowed to spam everything, and had three extra members to help -- it looked like three spammed and one kept track.

On my first trial by doing this shizz on my own I did as well as Momlee Jenn did in a group of four. This gives me a little bit of hope? Maybe a glimmer?

If I'm hating this, everyone else must be -- right?

I went back to the Caryngetti and saw they did it in partners. A team of 2 were able to do it, on avg, 7 minutes and 49 seconds. Taking an extra 4-6 minutes doing it on your own doesn't make me feel too bad. I'm going to wait until I get some sleep and I'm alert. I'll do one more test run and then do the challenge. I don't wanna slave over something that may just not be reasonable. This challenge comes down to a lot of coordination, but also a lot of luck with posting times. The ending of this challenge can really kill you if you keep missing the mark. Neal got 13 minutes, so we're about on par with each other. I hope the trend of Neal being a BAMF continues.

Ken fell asleep, Liz is drunk as a motherfucker, no Nathan For You -- which we all call "Nate Night". Liz and I are now watching the Eric Andre Show... even though I'm open to anything I hope everything works out and we wind up on the same tribe. If not, I'm really gonna miss this!

Manbun status: up 'n' luscious

Welcome to The Parlour.

First of all, I feel like I finally am Joe Anglim. 1 vs 20, and I pull out a victory when it comes down to it. The challenge was a lot of patience, organization, and practice. In my official trial I got really lucky and hit a hot streak on the zodiac symbols I missed on my first runthrough. This saved me a ton of time and allowed me to mess up that one :47 rooster twice and still get the win. 10% luck, 20% skill, 15%.... Fort Minor - Remember The Name.

So what this all boils down to is my reasoning for the selections I made, and the fallout from it thus far. I initially thought I'd be selecting three from each remaining tribe. Nope, dragons. This left me with Hunter automatically, which I cannot complain about. I've had good conversations with Hunter consistently throughout this game, and I genuinely like the guy. We've worked well together when it came down to the first Dragon's Challenge, and natural chemistry goes a Lóng way in a game like this. The first challenge solidified Ken/Liz/myself, so Hunter and I have had similar bonding experience.

I guess the big hulabaloo is that I didn't pick Liz or Ken. My closest allies.

Of course I wanted Liz and Ken on my tribe, but when I had an idea that I did the best on my tribe, I immediately went and talked to Liz, Ken, and Neal. I asked their opinions on what I should do if I were to receive the extra helpings. Neal and Kenny seemed okay with either, but Liz ultimately made my mind up -- she thought that splitting us up would be risky, but could pay off in the Lóng run. I agree. I

I trust Ken/Liz 100%. I don't think that time apart is going to cause our friendship to grow distant. I know that when it comes down to it, I can trust them.

This split pretty much hides the Challenge Kids/Triplet Twist/Whatever You Wanna Call It. I talked to both Ken and Liz and took into consideration what they wanted to create a majority on the opposing tribe to smoke the other people out of the water. Liz trusted Woo, Ken trusts and has bonded with Hope and Jaison -- and my initial thoughts were that the dragon twist was going to continue so that would essentially force the five to work together which is almost majority. I hope this to still be the case, Ken and Liz are social dynamos and I know that Woo really liked Ken pregame. I think they're going to do just fine and come merge if we meet up again tribal lines will be so new that we'd be able to control the game from the inside knowing what was going to happen on both sides. Neal doesn't know about Challenge Kids, but Neal really likes Liz and we had an alliance with him. Neal, Liz, Ken, myself. The four people I want to see in the final four. Two on opposing sides, four social characters, hopefully able to persuade people and control the game without either side knowing. This is all hypothetical, but whatever.

I believe that if I had put all of us on the same tribe, a very obvious majority would form and come merge the people who weren't seen as in the top of the rankings would flip and lead to my downfall. This is what happened in my first game, I didn't give enough people a chance and stuck to the people I liked the most.

For me personally, this gives me no excuses to stay passive.

I've been weary on Neal for a while, not entirely sure what to think about him. We always had stellar conversations, and strategically for what little we were able to talk we were on the same page. This swap definitely left Neal a little bit uneasy and paranoid, as we all were. I created a tribe that was 4 Anaira, 5 Mushu, 1 Long. Maybe it was out of paranoia due to the swap and the end of the dragon twist, maybe it was just the right time -- but Neal shared with me his idol. He's said that his philosophy is to use it when you need it. I think that's pretty obvious. I don't know if he'd use it on me, but he did say if necessary but he did say this is ours.

The selections that I made have made me feel pretty good initially. Natalie came to me thanking her from saving her from Long. Natalie was one of the connections that I was making pregame and we left off right where we started. Apparently Lóng was just pĺpăyä and a hellhole, thankfully I snagged only one Lóng person and it's someone who I'm somewhat close to.

Ozzy ran to me right away and continued right where he left off

Okay great. I have your back joe <3

I think Ozzy likes me because he initially wanted to be Joe, but Curt and Rose were like "lol nope it's Stephen fam." Maybe he's just a big Joe fan? Maybe what he's saying is true and he really likes my positive upbeat attitude? Idk. If I hear he's saying it to multiple people though, he's an easy target. If he isn't, then he's an ally.

Rachel and I have began to talk, and we can hold a great conversation. I don't know how close Neal is with Rachel, but he said they did talk quite a bit. The only worry is old Mushu/Anaira tribal lines. I'm confident that we can swing Natalie over to our side to make it 5-5 at worst if it comes down to old tribe lines.

I'm hoping if we lose tomorrow, it's a Mushu that slips up so we have an excuse if worst case scenario old tribal lines remain. If not, I'm hoping that Neal and I can keep Jenna (I think Neal is close with Jenna, Liz also brought this up to me), bring in Rachel and Hunter, and the pick of Ozzy/Rita/Natalie since both of them seemingly have a lot of trust in me, but there's no justification for it whatsoever. This is all just rough notes, as the game progresses things will clear itself up.

I expect to be chastised by others for the decisions I made. I listened to my ally, took into consideration what they had to say, thought it was risky but decided to still do it anyways to hide any true solid alliance from being blown the fuck into the open. When people knew where my loyalties lay, they took everyone away from me and I had to keep fighting for my life until I could fight no more. This time I'm trying to be less blunt about who I want to go to the end with. Honestly it could go either way. This game boils down to a lot of luck, and if I got lucky we'll be able to reunite at merge with no radar on us, and be able to make a move to elevate us to the final 4 when the time is right. I was unaware of the dragons twist being ended unfortunately, but I know Woo liked Ken and Liz and Woo were dragon partners so I have faith Woo will help Liz and Ken settle into a favourable position.

As for me, I've kept this game interesting for myself. I decided not to settle for the safe route and challenge myself to continue to enhance my social game, get to know different people, and not let my cards be entirely known. It may not be a good decision, it may not be a bad decision, but it's my decision. I have a strong ally on this tribe, knowledge of an idol, and another challenge to pull my weight in coming up.

I'm having fun.

I'm guessing it's the Mushu idol -- whether it's a NuMushu idol or a Mushu idol isn't clear to me.

The Hunt has also ended. If there were any Hidden Immunity Idols that were not found, they will remain hidden for good.

Which leads me to believe that it's the same idol as previous -- since there is no indication that there are additional idols within the game.

Which makes me believe that there's only two idols in play. One on Long, one on Anaira. Neal has the Anaira idol, one of the five remaining Lóng must have the Lóng idol.
