Name: Lionel Cronkite

Background:
Originally a farmer on the Lunar Base, Lionel was involved in an industrial accident that cost him an arm. He had a bionic replacement but the thing was buggy and he retired from farming to live out his days as an author. With the land he owned in the Sea of Tranquility, Cronkite was reasonably happy but also very isolated.

To kill the pain from his phantom limb, he started smoking pot but quickly moved on to harder drugs when it wasn't enough. Facing weeks sober became much too difficult, and this reflected in his writing which was successful enough to keep him and his medicated state happy enough. Life was pretty lonely though, and Cronkite slowly started to show the effects of that in his work.

He became a hermit, considering all human contact to be dangerous and choosing to surf the Interplanetary Network instead. As somebody always prone to believe in "out there" things, Cronkite's love of conspiracy theory escalated with the drugs and isolation, leading to him penning plenty of books and journals about the various conspiracies he believed in. One of his most famous is the conspiracy that humanity never lived on Earth at all.

His work on conspiracy relating to Kayla Interplanetary was met with hostility when some of his journals were taken down. Considering this an outrage, he finally left his compound after stocking up on countless "supplies" so he could take a trip to Europa Base where they were about to launch the ship going to the Dalia where the crew had vanished. There was something being covered up out there and he wasn't gonna sit back and take it.
