There are two possibilities as far as I can see.

Either a heat seeking missile automatically launches towards the nearest player who is not in this room, or we are given a list of targets to choose from.

Keep in mind that as soon as we leave this room, we will be the closest target. I don't like the sound of that.

It's cold, but I hadn't thought of us being the closest target if we leave.

The fact that we have considered it makes me wonder what another group might do if they come across this, untoward motivations or not.

All it takes is one person to absentmindedly flick a switch, and the next thing you know these plain corridors could be decorated with our blood.

I would feel safer if we could be assured nobody is going to come this way for a while.

Won't be available for much of the remainder of this phase again, but will try post results if I get chance.

Robots don't go to heaven

I am not racist. Many of my best friends are robots. Well...actually that's not true, but that's not the point.

Robots do not go to heaven. They go to the Underworld.

I explained why in "Return To Olympus", and perhaps I will delve further into it in my reading of the book.

But to cut a long story short, basically...

"Humanity was trying to create artificial intelligence, but no matter how hard we tried, we could never quite achieve it. Hermes, son of Zeus, was sympathetic to our cause, and asked permission from his father Zeus to give robots souls. Zeus was furious, proclaiming it was an exclusive right of the gods to create life, and mere mortals were prohibited from it. However, Hermes was very persuasive, and managed to change his fathers mind. Hermes gave the gift of life to robots. Hades, lord of the underworld, wasn't happy about this, and tricked Hermes into eating pomegranate seeds, causing a furious Zeus to banish all robot souls to the Underworld upon destruction. Things have remained that way ever since."

My book aside, we should hesitate trusting anything an anonymous voice tells us. For all we know, this talk of level D might be an attempt to lure us into a trap. And this red child nonsense? Disinformation.

And you know what, whoever is talking on the comms is a hypocrite. In his or her previous message, they said we should all work together. Now they say how they deeply mistrust the nine we left behind.

It might interest everybody to know, the nearest person/persons, are 1 floor up, 2 grid squares North.
