Rin approached the Southern exit with a great deal more caution, looking back at the radioactive material nervously before opening the door release.
The room beyond was strange. The walls were lined with some kind of luminous blue light which was still fairly bright despite the ship's power situation.
On the wall was a device which looked like a syringe attached to some mechanism. Rin looked queasily at the chemical inside the syringe and the pointy needle.
"Doesn't seem to be a problem. Seems like it's just a dumb experiment." Announced Francis who was sorting through yet more paperwork.
The paperwork was just discussing the experiment, but the science was kind of advanced. Percy scanned it thoughtfully and shrugged.
"No idea. This ain't engineering!" She said helpfully.
One thing came across from the notes, and that was the experiment's title. It simply read "pain transfer". | Aldo looked up curiously as something overhead clicked into action. What was that? He hoped it wasn't another boo-boo.
The mechanism descended from the ceiling with a whoosh and it pointed right at him.
"Aldo look out..." Said Rin pleadingly. Aldo just stood like a deer in headlights.
"ALDO!" Came the shout amidst the flurry of gunshot.
Aldo slowly fell to the floor, blood pouring from his tiny body. With a thud, he fell hard and closed his eyes with a quiet groan.
The turret overhead, which had appeared out of nowhere, just as quickly ascended into the ceiling. | The group was ready to move on.
The phase will end in approximately one hour. No more action updates will be accepted. |
