I squinted and peered at the shiny metal needle. It seemed oddly...alluring. Was I going mad? Perhaps. Hell if I knew. All I knew is I couldn't take my damned eyes off it.

Glad to see you've healed up, girl! Now that no one in this group has radiation poisoning, it seems we're all on equal footing, so there's no obvious candidate to use the syringe. I'm feeling particularly bold, though, so I'd be willing to try it out unless there's some objections.

OK daddy :(

can u tell me a story?

Of course I can. I've got plenty of those lyin' around.

Let's see, let's see. Ah!

This one involves a boy much like yourself. A strong boy, the kinda boy that makes sure to eat his spinach & beans, y'know? Yet so many underestimated him. For a time, at least.

See, that boy had a father. Mean guy. Nasty guy. He liked to take out all his woes on those who couldn't stand up to him. A coward of the highest--or lowest--order, no mistakin' it. One night, he's feelin' particularly fresh and he starts saying some nasty things to the missus. She talks back, and well... one things lead to another, and me and my boys get the call that there's an honest-to-God kerfuffle happenin'.

We get down there, and let me tell ya, he's seethin'. He's standing over, knife in hand, and he's ready to take her out at a moment's notice. What are we to do? We have him at gunpoint, but if we pull the trigger, who know what he'll do? It was truly a pickle we found ourselves in.

Until little Johnny... he starts hollerin' his daddy's name. I can hear it like it was yesterday.

"Daddy! Daddy! Over here you sunnuvabitch!"

The dad, well, he can't believe his ears. He turns around for a second, just a second, to look at his boy. But that second's enough. The boy levels him with a baseball bat., and my partner lets loose and finishes the brute. The wife immediately gets up cryin' and hugs little Johnny half to death.

I tell ya, I shed a tear myself that night. And that never happens. The bravery that boy showed saved his mother's goddamned life. He was just as heroic as any of the boys down at the station, and I ain't just sayin' that.

And well, son, I see more of that boy in you than you know. Hell, I see more than that. You've got the world on a string.

I'm beginning to think the syringe was strategically placed here so that a radiation victim would stumble in here and decide to share their plight with someone else. But it almost seems...too obvious? Nothing's that obvious in my experience. I think there's more to it than meets the eye.

In any case, I've had second thoughts. Not worth wasting a medkit over the minute possibility that this does something beneficial. Besides, don't wanna upset the boy.

Ok so lets just assume Aldo did not go for the syringe and that did not set off a trap. Now that he is hurt should we have him try to take the syringe and pass off his injuries to Watts or Cassie?

He's dead. Dead people can't perform actions. And I don't think he's worth reviving.

There's not a person in this goddamn ship that's worth reviving more than that boy. He has so much life ahead of him!

If Aldo CAN use the pain transfer, he should absolutely use it on Cassie. She's been quiet for a long while. Watts has spoken up. If not...ugh.

I would suggest he use it on someone notoriously useless, like Clifford or Veleriya.

To hell with this. I'm using the syringe.

Even if Frederic decided to use the medkit on him, there's no guarantee he'll be around in time. I'm not leaving this room without trying my damndest to save that boy.

I am leaving for the night, I have followed Rin before I realized she was cured, so hopefully she follows someone else to avoid injury. Prefer that Sam, Cronkite and Percy not be leaders out of rooms, If I have a say in the matter. Watts could prove his worth by becoming our new leader out of rooms so we can all follow him.

I do hope someone will exit down the elevator then. Again, I don't want to stay in this turret room.

I hope so as well. Francis??? Wish we could push someone ahead of us lol Like Cassie

Are we going down there then? If so, I can lead.

I have exited, assuming I survive what is about to happen. Someone else should probably put an exit too, just in case.

Was it madness? Perhaps. I'd probably regret grabbing that syringe off the wall with every fiber of my being in about a minute or two. But goddamnit, I couldn't resist. I just couldn't leave that boy behind.

The only good thing is that if Percy, Cronkite or Sam ever have to lead and get injured, we have the medkit. Lets just try not to put them in danger if we can.

So instead you want to put ol' Frankie in harm's way, is that it?

Wtf happened. My results said no traps, so I don't think it was a trap unless he messed with that needle.

I asked to check the DOWN exit (elevator) and mission control came back saying there are no traps to the SOUTH. I've asked for clarification, but I'm starting to think mission control needs to hire some help.

I think it could've happened in any room. The boy was targeted by someone, somewhere.

The syringe...it did nothing.

I fell to my knees in defeat. I thought about pleading for that medkit to be used. But I knew it would fall on deaf ears.

I closed Aldo's eyes and kissed his brow. But this wasn't goodbye. I hadn't given up on the boy. Not now, and not ever.

1) Aldo performed an action without informing us. That is not how we make gainz and it is also sketchy as fuck, yah? Reminds me of patients eating out of their dietary restrictions on the side without informing me. It is just selfish and wasteful and I have to assume the worst considering the boy is dead..

He did not. I am almost positive on this. I used the syringe and not a thing happened.

He was a targeted victim.
