Morwena had traveled a great distance from her home colony Ganymede to the third planet in the solar system and cradle of humanity, Earth. The distance between Earth and Ganymede ranged from somewhere around 400 to 600 million miles or approximately a light hour, but what was important to Morwena was not the distance she had traveled, but that she were where she needed to be. There were many people housed in the caves of Earth who were very faithful and religious, Morwena quickly came to learn that fights between some of the religious groups was not out of the norm, she witnessed fights every other day. Religion flourished more than anything here on Earth, in fact, it seemed to be the only thing that flourished. She soon found solace with a peaceful religious group, a religion known as Neo-Scientology, a re-interpretation of the religion of Scientology. The Neo-Scientologists told Morwena all she wanted to know about their religion. What they practiced, what they believed, their care for the poor, the children and the elderly and their way of life. They told her many things, they even told her things from a past life of hers that she didn't quite understand at the time.

Morwena realized however that this was the religion that sought the answers she were looking for, thus, she decided to join them. They took her to a church deep inside the caves that was dedicated to the religion. She had lived with them, dined with them, exchanged stories with them, but after many days and many nights, Morwena's time had come. It was time for her to finally take her vows and become a nun in the church of Neo-Scientology. Morwena, who already wore the red cloak (the dress code for the nuns and priests of Neo-Scientology), now had two nuns add face paintings to her face.

Truth is what we give, truth is what we shall receive, The nun to her left said.

Knowledge is what we seek, knowledge is what we must teach. The nun to her right said.

The x marks the spot, the x marks everything. A priest said as the two nuns painted an x on her forehead.

Rise. The priest then said and gestured for her to stand up.

Morwena rose and the two nuns disappeared into the background. The priest studied her for the longest time. Morwena knew that the ceremony was just a ceremony in name only, but she still found it a bit nerve-wracking.

The wheels of destiny has called you here, daughter of Ganymede. Why has fate brought you here?

To seek truth, to seek knowledge and to learn about the origin and meaning of life. Morwena answered honestly.

Well said. The priest said with a proud smile as he walked over to Morwena and embraced her. Welcome home, Morwena.

Everyone in the temple, an even deeper area located beneath the church itself, welcomed their new member by exchanging hugs and handshakes. It was then that Morwena finally felt at home.

This was the first day of her new life... and it had only just begun.

It had been a few weeks since Morwena had taken her vows and she was now a fully fledged nun in the Neo-Scientology church she called home. She was in her room, her attention completely absorbed in a book she had been reading for almost an hour straight. The title of the book was called the Illiad, a book filled with adventure, poetry and histories of the past. Morwena was so absorbed in the book that she didn't notice when one of her sisters walked into the room.

Enjoying the book I lent, you? The Neo-Scientology sister who had just entered the room asked, a smile hidden beneath that red cloak.

Morwena rose from her bed in an instant, an embarrassed look on her face.

Sister Isabella! Apologies, it seems this book had me lose track of time. She closed the book and put it away, only to immediately start searching for her red cloak in her wardrobe.

Sister Morwena, time is nothing but a vessel designed by the gods, it flows in a continuous circle and sets a path for all of us to follow. Sister Isabella lectured as Morwena began to get dressed. What will be has always been, such is the nature of fate and destiny.

Morwena, now fully dressed, gave Isabella a look of uncertainty.

Does that mean I was destined to come here? This is my fate?

Isabella smiled confidently.

Yes Morwena, I believe so. Time is a vessel designed by the gods, a vessel of fate and destiny. Everything happens for a reason.

The pair exchanged heartwarming smiles, Morwena then turned to her sister and began to follow her outside. Well, it seems fate is waiting. She told her sister as they left the room.

Once they had descended the stairs that took them outside the church, the pair descended a path that lead down to an underground train station that seemed more or less abandoned. The two sisters conversed amongst themselves about the book Morwena had borrowed from her friend for almost half an hour before a train finally arrived. They boarded the train, heading for the Orphanage.
