I'm wondering if Matthieu could be a member of the Cult of the True Light? I find it strange that no one has brought them up and I'm conflicted about it since I do not know if they're with us on this journey or how they're connected to this ship?

If Matthieu is a member of that group of fundamental extremists, then that opens up a whole lot of theories. There were a few individuals who supported me as one of the leaders, I just find it strange that no one has brought them up seeing as I am also part of a religious group. This is a matter that I'll think about in more detail as time moves on, but for now, this theory must remain a theory.

May peace be upon the 9 souls we lost today.

I don't know if our primary mission objective will be saved once we head further into the station so I'll record a copy of the message and place it here in my log. I would also like to study the message since it seems to hold answers I'm looking for.

Primary Mission Objective
Kayla Interplanetary have always believed in pushing the exploration of humanity to its limits. What greater desire is there than to have power over the environment? The ability to create is fundamental to our being. We want to create structures, monuments, colonies; but mostly we strive to create life.

Kayla has been searching for a genetic code for many years that will enable the production of life at a cellular level. Until now, this solution eluded us be we believed that there was something out there with enough power, enough of a versatile make-up that its cells when engineering could provide a blueprint; a slate for creating genuine life. This would go above and beyond any Artificially Intelligent unit created.

Kayla has commissioned many ships to search for this unique life-force, which we believed to exist somewhere in the solar system. We were at the very least; hopeful. Now this vessel has located it, and studies can commence. When the research has been conducted, please transmit the cellular code to us.

If something should happen to the crew aboard this ship, the cellular structures should be properly incubated in the research lab. We have reason to believe the subject of our cellular harvesting is unstable, and so we cannot guarantee that nothing will go wrong. We ask that recovery teams locate these incubated cells and find an active comms source to transmit the data to us.

Good luck to all recruits.

ELIAS, I WANT TO READ YOUR BOOK.

Return to Olympia, a story that goes into great detail about the inferno wars! I am so excited! This is exactly the things I've been studying in the Archives, the ancient myths of old!

May the gods favour this bearded author.

Thoughts on Team Dain:

Dain: Dain is the leader of the group, the most trusted individual of the team. I'm perfectly fine with him in charge of the gun and he can distribute the medkit to whoever best skilled at his choosing. There's no reason to be paranoid about someone having a gun, there's no way he can enforce rules on the team. If this should become a situation for some reason or another, I have my ceremonial knife that I can help protect the group with. That being said, I don't think it's necessary to worry about things like that this early. I was skeptical of Dain early on, this may be a false observation, but he seemed pretty set to get his way and when the issue about distributing items got around, he concluded that keeping both items for himself is what would be best, this before he was elected leader of anything. Although, I prefer all the items being with one person at this point than spread around. The last thing I want is an unknown individual with a hidden agenda, holding dangerous items. From what I've seen so far, Dain seems pretty levelheaded so there's probably nothing to worry about.

Matthieu Soderbergh: Matthieu is the son of a Raymond Soderbergh, a man who seems to have looked into some stuff regarding the Kayla corporation. His father seems to have died on Earth looking into stuff, I have read his father's journals by accessing the GMC console and it seems the Cult of the True Light could've been involved in his father's disappearance. Only the gods know how a fundamental extremist group like that is involved with the Kayla corporation and this "mining vessel". Could Matthieu be a member of the Cult? It's possible, but I don't want to think he is. Either way, anything that has to do with the Cult of the True Light should be avoided at all costs. We tend to avoid them all together. If the cult is not among us, then I have no reason to worry. Matthieu seems to have been born on the same colony as I was, Ganymede.

Dr. Elias Baines: The author of "Return to Olympia", a book I'm really anxious to read. It details the inferno wars and the ancient myths of old, detailing back to the Greek Gods. Very fascinating stuff. Elias said he thought he had a copy of his work with him on the journey, I really hope to read it soon. I'm wondering if there's anything he covered that I didn't get to read about in the tomes in the Archives of Earth, I really hope to find out more about Willis and the red eye. The good doctor also provided a very interesting 3D version of the map.

I'll try to keep my thoughts on the remaining 12 a bit shorter....

RAMSES: The RAMSES unit has been very helpful and cooperative. He takes notes and probably stores as much information as possible in his database, which would prove very helpful.

Stubbs: He's more or less the map provider and translator of foreign languages, he's also very entertaining. He's also keeping up spirits and a good boost for team morale.

Da Shuang: He has visions of the red eye, something I find very fascinating. He mentioned that the red eye was very close, which is something that confuses me. Does he have visions of the beast that is hunting us or the red eye, which is most likely God, the creator of all? I'm most interested in these visions he has, I only had one. The gods must have a special place for him.

Garthon Alfray: Very helpful and determined, dedicated to the mission at hand, which is good since I want to head towards the research facility too. As much as I hate the fact that 9 souls were lost, I have no wish to run. The gods sent me here for a reason and it seems the research facility holds all the answers. Unless there's more to it, and if that's the case I wish to find out. He's not shy to enter first, maybe that's his Martian blood pumping?

Aippaq: Fisherman from the Europe colony, he is a strong supporter of Dain and a strong voice for reason. He seems to be very set in his ways, but what would you expect from a fisherman?

Takeshi Haruki: The martial artist of the group, he offered an interesting challenge idea for possible challenges in the future while we were all on the shuttle frantically discussing what to do. I feel he has much more to give.

Tesimal: He seems like the oddball of the group and I like that about him, creates his own spaces every phase and I make it my religion to bless them every time. I believe he's from Io.

El Diamente Azul: Diamente is an entertainer, but is soft spoken and has difficulties with big crowds. The gods certainly wonders what sort of entertainer she could possibly be? I'm not willing to speculate at this point in time and I wish not to embarrass her by asking her up front. She seems to not like the idea of retrieving the cellular structures and would probably rather opt for immediate escape.

Felicity Green: Felicity appears to be the daughter of President Shore, a man with strong political influence on Callisto, most likely colony leader. Felicity seems to be very dedicated to the team.

Freyja: Was brought up on Mars, but said she thinks she was born on Earth. Told us early on in the journey that she escaped Mars, because she didn't enjoy it over there. I can understand where she's coming from, Mars and PhoboDeimos seems to be worse off than Earth.

Keisha: I was convinced her and Cassie would clash all the time on this journey, but she has calmed down a lot ever since we had to make the tough decision to leave behind nine souls to die.... this event still haunts me and I try to keep it in the back of my mind as much as possible and focus on Elias's book and why I came here in the first place, At the moment, I'm prioritizing Elias's book. Keisha is from Callisto.

Matilda: I think she's gonna have trouble keeping up with everything now that she's lost the glasses Eliza gave to her. Still, seems to be pretty levelheaded when she gets her mind around it. Hopefully, she doesn't wander off in a wrong direction or something. Says she's from the US, but unless she's over 200 years old, she must be from Lunar Base since the US doesn't exist anymore. Although, I hear they're a very proud colony over at Lunar Base.

I managed to keep it short with some of them.... may the gods provide me with more information for future entries.
