I know I haven't kept a diary since before the fire but now that my life is ending it only seems fitting to start one again so maybe one day when the citizens of the universe discover the Dalia they may one day understand a fraction of what happened here. I do not know yet what to make of my endeavors, but I'm sure that I will soon. We boarded the Dalia just moments ago and I am dismayed at the group I have found myself with. We just voted on the execution of 9 people who are not dead, and I find myself stuck with them and no way back to the larger group(s?). It is just my luck that I find myself stuck on the stairwell and find myself here on the island of misfit toys. Their survival disgusts me and I just might take the Red Child up on his offer. Not yet. I'll play their game and help them find this bomb for the time being. It might be simpler than killing them and the survivors on the other group before I find another game to play. We'll see what happens.
Onto the Red Child, as I will continue to call him. He wants this group to find a bomb located somewhere on the Dalia and in return he will grant us life when he destroys the ship. They'll agree. The majority just decided they were disposable, myself included. My only chance at life is to play along with them. In a way, I'm now a prisoner. They'll play for the Red Child but unbeknownst to them, I'm playing for him as well and he wants them all dead. It's too early to play my endgame yet. Let them pick themselves off for a while, hopefully lead me to the survivors and then I'll decide what side I'm on.
But the death and destruction speaks to me. I've saved too many lives and now I crave the chance to kill for a change. Oh, this will be fun. This will be marvelous fun.
