im glad we all survived, but im worried about this creature. we know nothing about it. can we trust it? i think we have to trust that there is a bomb and go look for it. if there isn't really a bomb then there is no negative outcome, but if there really is a bomb and we do nothing then we could all die. that said i think we should see if we can defuse the bomb safely if we find it, i dont want to hand it over to that creature in an active state until we know what it wants if for.

if we split up we can cover more ground and increase the odds of finding the bomb. that said were already a very small group and if we split up further we could come across something that we cant complete with a smaller number of people. for now i think its best to stay together. as far as i can tell there is no particular difference between the 2 doors, so i have no objection to taking the North (East) exit.

can we afford to take the chance that the bomb wont go off?

a fair point. i think its clear we should go looking for the bomb, after all we dont currently have anything else to do. hopefully we will find more information during the search that gives us a better idea what to do with it if we find it. at the moment i think we should leave our options open as far as what to do with it if we find it.

about 8 hours left to make choices and 9 before we move on. so far we have a solid response rate, hopefully Elliot and Page show up soon.

I don't disagree with saying something like "they wanted to take a bomb to this demon kid in the airlock but i have a personal win condition to sacrifice myself on the bridge so give it to me and I'll take care of it"

why would the other group give any of us the bomb if we tell them we have a personal win condition? now if we told them that by going to the bridge they would unlock a new team win condition that might be different. it would be a more subtle way to get them to bring the bomb to the bridge.

if any of us can get the others to bring them and the bomb to the bridge then that player fulfills there win condition.

Also, we wouldn't be leading them there. We just want the bomb from them so WE can do it

i had forgotten that someone can win without ending this. i still dont think they will just hand over the bomb because someone asks for it. as far as i can tell we just have to get the bomb back here to win, and i would think it would be easier to get them to come here with it then get them to give it up. its all very early thought, we have time think.

This is from the Phase Update thread, it makes it sound like the child gave each us protection, I'm assuming from the bomb, so that it won't harm us. I think we just need to find it and not necessarily worry about it going off.

to me that sounds like he protected us from whatever hes going to do with the bomb, but not from the bomb if something happens to it before we find it.

My theory is I was 3rd overall and thus made the third leader for you guys.

basically what i was thinking. they took the 3rd highest score and swapped them with the lowest score to ensure the group left behind had a quality player. im more interested in how the 2 leaders had there groups created. did they have a draft or was it preselected? a draft would have created a new set of bottom rung players.
