Anyway, that monster wasn't a...lionasaurus, as you put it, but a mythical beast. Well, at least it was mythical. I recognized it enough to be clear on that. I couldn't put a name to it yet though.

How many more answers do you need Morwena? Everybody aboard from the original crew is probably dead, we lost nine of ours at the starting gate, and mythical beasts are stalking the place.

It doesn't take a genius to work out what happened here.

Mission control were very clear with that transmission. If the situation seems too crazy, escape. I think our situation certainly qualifies.

Going back to the beasts. I am unsure what they are. I do not recall any such creature from any of the myths. Nothing matches it's appearance. It is perhaps, dare I say, a new type of Chimera, not previously discovered.

I...I think we should head straight for the escape pods.

I mean, won't the others have the same idea about heading for the engine room?

I'd rather we were at the escape pods before them when the power is back on. You heard the transmission, we don't know how many pods there is.

I'm just saying, does anybody here honestly want to turn the power back on, only for someone else to make it to the pods and escape, potentially stranding us here? It is a possibility.

My concern is not escaping! I'd like to stay and study these Chimera's, I really would...but...but Mission Control gave us orders!

I don't think Dain should exit first whilst he has our only means of defense.

That sounds right up my alley! I was born on Ganymede, when did you publish this? I really need to read this now, I must've folded it under fiction and missed it somehow. Unless you published it after I had left Ganymede and it didn't make it's way to Earth, that is also a possibility.

I might have brought a copy with me, I will see if I can rummage it out. I'm glad you are so enthusiastic about reading it!
