Hello group! Nice to see you all. I am glad we are all breathing.

That monster further strengthens my belief that Kayla was doing something highly immoral here. Genetic research? Create some kind of hybrid animals? I dare not think of it any longer.

I am all for opening the box. There might be something valuable inside.

Kayla Interplanetary. They built the Dalia. They built this unit.

Precisely.

This is what I've been sayin... I really think somethin's goin' on here. She shoulda got a suit! Even if her face was a little funky...

I know we watched the ship explode right before our eyes but... maybe she was left behind for a reason. Maybe she received the third most votes for leader and managed a miracle...

This was my first thought. I dont believe it unlikely Izza would be high on many lists. Her being left behind with the rejects to lead them might not be such a far fetched idea.

I am happy to see you are our leader Dain, you where my first choice. From what you have said today has further convinced me I made the right choice.

I think north is where we came in and I for one am not particularly excited to meet those creatures again so soon. We can only hope we are better equipped for the next time. This is why I think it is pivotal we take every chance we get to acquire extra equipment.

Talking about equipment, what will be our item policy? 1 item per person and then when everyone has an item we repeat? I think that has some benefits regarding distribution of power. We would just have to keep a thorough list of what everyone is holding.

Did you receive a medkit Dain, perhaps we want to vote on who gets to hold it? Morwena has the look of a healer to me, dont think she would be a bad choice.

Like scientists do, I have excel here with me on my phone. I am thinking that software has some map creating benefits

I have created a small map of our known surroundings and current room.

I'm not sure we need to keep distributing things one by one. I do feel no one person should hold too much because it does give them the chance to do anything with it as they please.

We just got done with a huge crash and I don't feel like splitting up a pistol and a medkit from someone we voted to be our leader is a huge deal at the moment.

I feel trust needs to be earned before just anyone should hold any sort of item. I'm not going to willingly hand over anything potentially laying it in the wrong hands.

One of my concerns is also that there are possibly item sucking traps around this maze. Spreading the items will also minimize the risk of losing multiple items due to something like that.

Is that fear more important than giving some items to people who would use them poorly?

How do you define poorly?

If someone holding, lets say the medkit, is unwilling to use it how the group has decided then Dain has a very convincing tool in his hands to enforce it.

I also think it would be good for someone to hold the medkit that is not exiting, that way that person can heal Dain (who has volunteered to go first) if anything happens.

I believe we're dabbling in unneeded hypotheticals a bit early here. Though it would be in line with the luck we've had on this mission so far that the next room would indeed be an "item sucking trap" after I say this.

Our path through this mission will be ever changing, so we should make decisions on what goes where as we come to and conquer experiences instead of penning gospel from square one. Everyone is beginning this journey with the best of intentions, but this floating tomb could warp minds down the line.

I merely wanted to bring up the discussion of item handling early on. Just so we have it outlined for the future when we acquire new ones.

I am a man of science. I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. You never know what the next room might hold.

I am fine with Dain holding onto the medkit if that is the groups decision, I still would feel better if the person exiting first didnt have it. Just in case of item sucking.

Mr. Soderbergh, I'm sorry if this unit came across crossly to you. I do appreciate the thought and effort you have displayed in spurring discussions.

Dont worry about it. I do not take opposing opinions personally. We are all doing what we think is best. I will always respect and abide to the groups decisions, even if I do not personally agree with them.

Matthieu, did your father leave behind any research that might help us other than the information he left in his journals? Sorry if this is a sensitive issue.

I'm wondering what these jellybean creatures are supposed to be? I assumed they were creatures from another planet, but some of you mentioned monsters developed by Kayla? And why would the gods call us all here?

He stumbled across a project called Genesis, which is written on the box in this room. If he ever knew what that research project was about, he never got to write it down in his journal.

I suspect it has something to do with creating life. I feel like the answers lie in this ship.

Interesting. What should we focus on - restoring the power and escaping, or locating the research lab?

I would say we continue exploring. From what I gather:
A - Escape pods
B - Docking and Habitation
C/D/E - ?

I am no engineer but I would put the power station somewhere close to the bottom. I suspect the research facility is on some deck below us as well.

I would suggest going down to C / D or E whenever we can.

I believe Level A is the bottom level of the Dalia, so we would be ascending to the other three levels.

Just checked again this is true. I am sorry, my scientific mind makes a connection that A would be at the top and E at the bottom.

Alright, so we are going West I presume, let me take this one.

##Exit: West.

I believe movement actions placed out of the Action Thread in your journal will not count.

Everyone should note this so no one is left behind, I am currently placed to follow Dain as he is the leader.

[ooc: I'm going to ask a really dumb question, but where are you guys finding all this info about the Dalia? Like, how do you know it's 5 levels A-E?]

Your GMC console has all of the relevant information. (its another sub-forum)

[[I know, I still think we should do this here to make it official to the rest of us]]

It is good to know we are all on the same page, that is true.

I...I think we should head straight for the escape pods.

I mean, won't the others have the same idea about heading for the engine room?

I'd rather we were at the escape pods before them when the power is back on. You heard the transmission, we don't know how many pods there is.

We cannot rely on the other group. For all we know they might fail. We must continue on.
