I have roamed the waters and learned a trade from generations of my people. It might take some time getting used to this outer space ship junk, but my discernment for my surroundings is something I'm not shy about. I plan to use my abilities the best that I can to help the group.
[[this may be completely stupid of me to do but there isn't really any hiding it from you guys and I feel I can be helpful. Once we know more about the button and what the reactions are I will go deeper on this subject assuming it could potentially open up our options to go north. If you feel the need to ask more about this, please do. I guess at this point there is no being shy about it.]] |

This thread is for viewing your current selection of items which can be obtained throughout the Labyrinth. This post will be automatically updated throughout your journey as you obtain, use and lose items.
ALL actions regarding items must be done in this thread, whether it's using, dropping, trading, or picking items up within the Labyrinth. For more on items, see the items section of the gameplay guide: http://www.ndimforums.com/lab4/thread.asp?threadid=5&pp=15#7
There are a limited number of spaces for items as denoted by the "Remaining pack space" portion of your inventory. When this fills, you will be unable to accept more items and any attempts for you to obtain other items will fail. Some items are stackable and will take only one slot however. These will have a multiplier next to the item to denote their quantity.

Remaining pack space: 5/6
Fusion Cell (x3)
Powers the air collar. A fusion cell must be used every three phases or the collar will fail.
Body Armour
Sturdy armour. Will protect you from death via physical contact once before breaking.
Shotgun
An old fashioned weapon. Can be fired once per phase, provided there is at least one shotgun shell in your inventory.
Shotgun Shells (x2)
Ammunition for a shotgun. With at least one of these in your inventory, the shotgun can be fired.
Laser Pistol
A weapon with one charge. Can be fired at another player during any phase.

Here are my results phase by phase so far:
Phase 2: (B-3523)
2 Grid Squares North
Phase 3: (B-1365)
1 Floors Up
2 Grid Squares North
1 Grid Squares East
Phase 4: (B-2937)
1 Floors Up
4 Grid Squares North
Phase 5: (B-4218)
2 Grid Squares North
2 Grid Squares West
Phase 6: (A-9812)
1 Floors Up
2 Grid Squares North
------------------------------
So, essentially, the map is split up into grid squares, and I am told how many squares away the nearest player is from the one I am currently standing in. In elongated rooms, the measurement is made from the grid square nearest to the exit you just entered from.
Keeping these rules in consideration, it makes my phase 2 result...difficult. I have operated under the assumption that we entered from the northern side of 3523, meaning I believe the result for that phase to have been measured from the square closest to the locked door. But maybe that assumption is wrong.
I would appreciate if someone could give a go at interpreting my results with their map. Maybe you will get a different result. |
