After witnessing a divine spectacle, forces of fate and destiny collided with our shuttle and rendered the craft unstable. Thankfully, my dear friend Percy saved us all by crash landing the damaged vehicle into the Dalia. Unfortunately, we are now faced with a tough decision. We must leave 9 souls on the ship behind to fend for themselves. We have something short of 30 hours to figure out what to do, who goes or stays, before the fire engulfs us all.

While not everyone agrees with me, I am convinced that this is a test to prove our humanity. Already I have seen a willingness to sacrifice people of "less worth". While I do agree that we must find a way to save as many capable souls as possible and do whatever we can to save those left with the flames, there was heated discussion on who deserved to die and who deserves to live. No one should be able to decide who lives or dies, we should not resort to violent solutions whenever fate puts a roadblock in the way.

It is natural to leave Captain Watts and Lieutenant Lindberg behind on the ship since they are the senior officers in charge, that's 2 people. They should then do their damnedest to help those others left inside while the rest of us who were handed suits try to find a solution as quickly as possible outside. Misty's insistence and enjoyment to leave innocent people to burn makes me think she should be a candidate to stay behind, since she will certainly not be of help to any one but herself.

Another point that Captain O'Hara said so elegantly, those souls who do not speak as much as the rest of us probably require less oxygen to survive, thus their chances of survival without the lack of suits might be better than those of us who speak far more often. I'm still not sure how this works with the baby, I definitely sense that fate brought him here for a reason but he needs to show up and inhale some oxygen in order for people to provide him with a suit. I'm concerned about his fate. Rin does not seem to care for him at all, which makes me concerned about her chances of redemption. Poor souls.

Portia, Paige, Clifford and Veleriya are other individuals who don't consume as much oxygen as the rest of us.

Thankfully, we still have 24 + hours to decide what to really do here. Time is running out.

I must trust in the gods that whoever will be left behind, survives somehow.

Jeong's language fascinates me, but since no one can understand it and the fact that she doesn't breathe oxygen as readily as the rest of us, she seems a likely candidate to remain on the shuttle. Since there's a possibility that she might get left behind, unable to provide the rest of us with what could be an ancient language, I have decided to save the two quotes available in an attempt to save the language:

Key to translate the ancient language:
The key to translating is just to convert the romanized letters into Hangul (korean script). Then just plugging the Hangul into a standard translator.

It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing, and easier than what I did for an hour just now.

After much discussion, it seems like the 9 souls we're leaving behind on the shuttle are Watts, Lindberg, Veleriya, Paige, Portia, Clifford, Elliot, Jeong and Misty. Mind you, the decision is still up in the air, but I feel like these individuals has the strongest chance of receiving the short end of the stick here. I would've hoped the RAMSES unit would've volunteered to stay behind, but it said it couldn't survive space. If the unit hadn't been contributing as much as it has, then I would've placed it at the bottom of the list. Alas, the signs points to the RAMSES unit serving some sort of higher purpose. Same goes for the two children. Fate provided us with them for a reason and I must place the children's life out of harm's way by placing them as high as necessary on my list. I also hope to share more conversations with Da Shuang, he seems to have visions that I'm very interested in.

Anyhow, if the worst happens to the poor souls we leave behind, I have a few words to say about each of them.

Watts: You helped us all get to our destination and I must thank you for that, but unfortunately you have not been around to help out with any helpful decision at all since we crash landed on the Dalia. Custom also says a captain must go down with his ship, and who better not to guide the remaining individuals to safety than the man in charge? Godspeed Captain Watts and may fortune favour you.

Lindberg: You were second in command of this mission and while you have provided us with some help, you haven't really stepped up to be the leader we need. Also, it seems fitting that the two senior officers in charge stay behind to make sure that all on board is escorted out of harm's way in some shape or form, the others stand a much better chance in my opinion with them there than with them leaving people behind to die. Godspeed Lieutenant Lindberg and may fortune favour you.

Jeong: You speak a mysterious ancient language that no one completely understands, a language half forgotten. It is a shame you lack communication skills needed to converse with the rest of us, that coupled with a lack of participation early on is what might be a reason why you'll be left behind. I have stored as much of your language as I can right here in my journal and I'll cherish it and study it, in the honor of your memory. May un favour you.

Misty: You want us all to burn, I do not know if you mean it, but for safety reasons and that you were so eager to provide a list as quickly as possible, I think it is best to leave you on the shuttle so you can grow some modesty. This is after all, a team effort. Either way, may fortune favour you.

Clifford: I feel bad about leaving you behind, but you haven't provided much insight other than your desire to meet up with your family. You also require less oxygen than many of the others, thus your chances of making it out alive is much higher than the rest of the crew. If the worst happens, I'll seek out your family and make sure that they're safe. May fortune favour you.

Elliot: I really don't know that much about you, other than that you wear shades and that you probably were a rich man in your past life, which is what all signs point to. I think you stand a higher chance at survival, for the same reasons I addressed about Clifford. I sincerely hope you make it out of that ship in one piece, may fortune favour you.

Portia: You provided some good discussion early on, but unfortunately fate had you fall behind and here you are. I hope your expertize will help you and those left behind to escape out of harm's way, may fortune favour you well dressed woman.

Veleriya: Unfortunately you haven't provided much and you said as much yourself. I hope fortune favours you and that you can use your skills to get out of harm's way somehow. May fortune favour you.

Paige: I haven't interacted with you that much and I think you fell behind for the same reasons everyone else fell behind. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to stay behind with the others. If so, may fortune favour you.

So, Captain Watts finally woke up and pleaded for his life to get a ticket off the shuttle. While it is certainly a cowardly act to abandon the crew he brought along and abandon ship, he told us that he promised to be an active member of the group, I take it he meant it when he said it and I'm willing to give the man a chance to prove his worth as I ranked him much higher on the list. I don't think it'll be enough to save him so if he really is as active as he claims, he needs to prove it to the others. Either way, I don't think fate is done with him quite yet so I think he'll survive whether he stays or goes, the same goes for the rest of the bottom dwellers.

Clifford's distrust for most of us also showed, and I can see why he sees it the way he does. There were many people who tried to get a consensus on the bottom list people, most likely for self-preservation and control. I did place him a little higher because of his passion, but I couldn't place him that high since there are other people who has shown more passion and dedication than him.

I'm taking a huge gamble on Watts since I take him at his word, he has promise.
