Background:
Cassie was raised on Callisto, when her wealthy father won custody over her, leaving her mother behind on Io. This never caused her much discomfort, as she was raised to be quite a spoiled brat over the years, generally getting her own way whenever she wanted it.

Her father was always too busy to spend time with her so she was raised by the TV, her favourite show being the long running kids show; Glupo Zapad. The show originated in Venera Outpost and was since broadcast to all the colonies. It features colourful characters dancing around and singing repetitive songs. The main character Govnar helps out his friends, the fluffy little aliens known as the Kreteni.

When her education fell through, Cassie's father paid for her grades so she could graduate despite having an extremely childish mindset. Her only goal through life was to be on that show, and this eventually led her to trying out for the part of a Kreteni. Flying to Ganymede where the show was now broadcast, she auditioned. However she was rejected after she swore on set and wound up fighting a camera-man. Her singing was described as "painful" even though she knew all the lyrics.

Her aggressive attitude coupled with her childishness make her a difficult person to get along with. After leaving the set, she stormed off and was left without a purpose in life. She was about to head home to watch some of the show and cry, but she ended up taking the wrong shuttle which just so happened to be the civilian one leaving for the Dalia mission.
