| I hate to underestimate anyone but... it's a baby. I mean if it were a chimp maybe I could wrap my head around it being here but a baby? |

I once read a case file about a mission much like this. See, there was this chimp, and nobody took the goddamned thing seriously, covered from head to toe in poop as he was. All he did was make the people laugh, and lifted their spirits. Now, the details after that are fuzzy to me, but I seem to recall him blossoming into one of the best explorers on the entire goddamned mission, and being one of the last few standing at the end of it all.
That is to say, I wouldn't be so quick to discount levity, or even incomprehensibility. It has its time and its place, sure, but that don't mean that person's completely useless. If people want write off folks like Aldo or even Jeong and put them on the bottom of their lists, I can't say I object, I'm just not following suit at the moment. I'm basing my votes on who I see the most potential in. I may be right, I may be wrong about that potential. But all I'm saying is they may very well have their uses yet, in the days to come. |
