Background:
Born on Earth to a religious family who disliked space travel, Arissa would find herself gazing up at the stars at night, hoping to one day fly out there. The lack of prospects on Earth were too miserable and she finally managed to run away from home, jumping on a shuttle that was leaving Earth with a bunch of refugees.

The shuttle stopped off at Europa Base where Arissa was able to study engineering and finally realise her dream of living aboard a space ship all the time. She graduated with decent grades and landed a job aboard the newly commissioned mining ship called the Dalia.

She was meant to carry out her first stint of duty but got sick about a week before it was due to fly. Reporting to the medical team, they informed her she was unfit to fly out and she watched as it left, with her new job and dream in tow. She recovered from her bout of flu but it was too late and she lazed around the base, depressed for a while.

This was until she heard the news that the crew had disappeared and a ship was flying out to search for them. She was meant to be on that crew, so this was her destiny. She decided to go aboard and find whatever she could. It meant she could live aboard the ship of her dreams, even if it was abandoned and just for a little while.
