Background:
Matilda is an elderly woman who is somewhat lost and confused. Not much is known about her past, as he ramblings don't exactly make it clear, but it's believed that she has left behind a legacy of grandchildren who she is looking for. The problem is that she assumes everybody she meets is one of them, as she has no mind for names or faces.

She first showed up at Europa Base about five years prior to the launch of the Dalia, at which point the officers on duty were unable to identify who she was or where she came from. All they know was she had a name badge on that read "Matilda". She insisted that the base was her home and refused to move. She talks to most people as if she knows them and they're all people from her past.

Since this time she's been dealt with by the medical officers on the colony who try and keep her in one place but she has a tendency to wander. One such wandering led to her coming aboard the shuttle that was heading out for the Dalia rescue mission, but nobody realised she'd gone before it was too late.
