Background:
Born on Callisto to a wealthy family with a heavy lineage of celebrities, young Kip was instantly handed fame and fortune on a silver platter. Despite this, he found his modern life tedious and was drawn to old digital footage of his very distant ancestry. What he saw was a world of drama, explosions, power ballads and ridiculous outfits. Kip started to dress and act in the same way, causing a stir within his already eccentric community and the local media.

His lineage was born from one young lady's affair with a very famous TV star back in the 1980s. Feeling that the blood of this era speaks to him, Kip began to adapt more aspects of his life to the culture of the 80s action movie. Speaking in monologues and a language that is lost to the vast majority of those around him, Kip has become isolated. It doesn't phase him, rather the isolation empowers his urge to continue.

Becoming tired with Callisto, despite its crystal clear waters and Miami Vice style, Kip yearned for a real action adventure. At the behest of his family and the therapists his wealthy family had shelled out for, Kip looked up to the stars and became Kip DeBarge in Star Pilot. He commandeered a shuttle, in so much that he hired one and stood in the cockpit pretending to be captain while the pilots exchanged awkward glances.

His destination was the icy world of Europa, where a sinister plot was unfolding and a ship's crew had disappeared into space. What they needed was a hero, a legend, a warrior for the ages. What they needed was Kip DeBarge in Mystery Ship. He'd find the crew, bring everybody home and not a hair on his head would be displaced.
