Name: Jeong
Birth Colony: PhoboDeima

Background:
Jeong was born on the colony of PhoboDeima (specifically Phobos). The colony is reknowned for its heavy military rule in which few people are let either in or out. Born to a working family, Jeong was made to toil from a young age, producing shells for the army. It was a repetitive task that just kept her and her sick mother alive. Like many PhoboDeimans, she lived in the caverns beneath the moon.

One day she returned to their dwelling in the caverns to find her mother frantically ushering her back out the door. She handed a pass-key and a bag to Jeong who was very confused as she insisted that her daughter run. Jeong hid as there was a loud banging at the door and several soldiers marched in. She watched as they executed her mother and fled once they had left.

It turned out that her mother had been stealing supplies for her daughter's escape, not wishing her to have to endure this life any longer. She had also acquired a pass-key to the surface. On it was a time, a serial number and a docking bay. Jeong found the dock and hid away before noticing the ship that matched the serial number. She snuck on board as it left the moon and headed to Europa Base.

The ship landed and a party of officials left to go to some meeting. When they had left, Jeong snuck out into the base. She'd somehow made it away from Phobos. However she had no grasp of English which was the spoken language on this and most other colonies and no idea where she was. In fact Jeong had lived such a sheltered life on her world that she was unaware of the names of the other colonies, only that they were "dangerous" and full of people who wanted to hurt her, a message propagated by the PhoboDeiman government.

She wandered through the base and caught a glimpse of the icy moon surface, something she had never laid eyes on having only ever lived inside the metal walls of her base. She had no idea where to go, but she watched as a group of people boarded a ship. Since a few were heading towards it, she followed, not realizing she had inadvertently boarded the mission bound for the Dalia.
